Can a subVI tell when the application it is part of has been stopped and restarted?
It is easy enough for a subVI to tell when it has been run for the first time after having been loaded into memory. But is there a way for a subVI to tell when the application it is part of has been stopped and restarted? Is there some property or application-invocation-specific refnum that when queried multiple times during the same run of the application would return the same value yet when queried during different runs of the application would return different values?
I don�t want to depend on anything that happens when a run is exited.
I don�t want to require code to be included in the main V
I to accomplish the solution.
(Otherwise I could, in the main VI create an un-named semaphore tied to a global; the subVI could then check the global to see if the value changed, which it would between runs of the application.)
Any ideas?

Have you tried the First Call? function? It's on the Advanced>Synchronization palette.

Depending on why it's been disabled, you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com

How can I programatically tell when the next TM backup is scheduled

I am writing some scripts to monitor and report on my TM backups without having to keep System Prefs open. I not only want to show the status as it happens, I also want to know when the next one is scheduled and I want to report all of this from a shellscript.
Anyone have any idea where I can find that info?

TM appears to back up always at the same minute of the hour, and this remains unchanged even if you force a backup (Back Up Now) or skip a backup for 24 hours (disk detached) so that it backs up immediately the disk is re-attached.
So, unless you need to be terribly precise about the time, just check once in preferences what time within the hour TM has adopted and see how close you are to that time.

Your screen is probably broken in that area and the "ink spot" you think you see is LCD liquid on the inside of the panel that's leaked and spread out.

I need to know how to reset a business owned iPad after the employee that set it up has been terminated and will not divulge his password info

I have an iPad 2 that we need to restore to factory settings. The employee for which it was issued was terminated and no longer has the username or password that the iPad and Find My iPhone was established with.
I have put it into recovery mode 2x...it still prompts for the user name and password of the person that set it up.

Just had an employee terminated most acrimoniously and had an iPhone 5C that was a brick. Apple support can help remove the lock. Better hold onto your original receipt and record the Serial# ! I do not mean the MEID or IMEI but the Serial# found on the original box or Settings>General>About. In my case no receipt or Serial#. 2 hours on the phone between Apple and Verizon and got what was needed. Submitted form and got reply to allow 2-10 business days.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information such as bookmarks and History.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.

Also try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

Can not update the applications that are part of the Technical Communition Suite (TCS) 4.

The updates... menu is grayed out for all applications that are part of this suit. I know that FrameMaker (FM) 11.0 has updates that should be installed. I have downloaded a patch (11_0_1) for FM and it will not install. I get this message:
I have Admin rights on the computer and have selected Run As Admin.. when I attemp to install the patch.
I have TCS 3.5 also loaded and do not have any issues with loading updates.
OS: Windows 7
Any ideas as to why I can not install updates for the applications that are part of TCS 4?

Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0
There will be a .dat file by the name - AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
Capy this file and paste it on your desktop.
Open that file in Notepad from desktop.
Change the value in <Suppressed> tag to ”0” from "1"
<Preferences>
<Suppressed>0</Suppressed>
</Preferences>
After saving the bat file replace it back with the original file at location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0
close the window and then try to install the patch again.

How do I get an iPod touch to turn on other than the normal way. It has been dropped and all I can get is a blank screen. Have tried holding the HOME button down for 30 sec. but that didn't work.

When I connect it to my computer, I am told to enter the PASSCODE which I cannot do as there is no touchpad.

If it's an iPod touch, try a reset.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, whether it's an iPod nano or touch, it probably needs service > Apple - Support - Service Answer Center

Error message: ni: A frame has been dropped and the acqusition has been canceled

I use a NI PCIe 1433 framegrabber with a Basler spl4096-140km line camera.
Using triggered acqusition with an external source, I can get a framerate of 68500Hz in NI-MAX.
When I use the Matlab image acquisiton toolbox to acquire data, I however very often get the error message: 'ni: A frame has been dropped and the acqusition has been canceled". This happens even at much lower framerates (20kHz) and only seems to go away when acquiring data slowly.
Computer is a Dell Precision 7600 and I assume there should be no issues with RAM or the PC being slow. The error does not go away when reducing the data size (i.e. reducing the ROI to one single point that is readout).
Do you have any pointers why this error message appears and what can be done about it?

I encountered the same problem and I think it is because the allowcation of storage in matlab cannot catch up with that of the camera so that it will drop frames when the buffer is full.

Hi David , Contact your bank they may have disabled your credit/ debit card because of an unusual amount of small purchaches of APPS , ALBUMS etc....... Has your name been changed if so create a new Apple ID and RELAX. BANKS TREAT THIS AS FRAUD they may need you to confirm you purchased them APPS.
