Hello MM experts,
Can a TR be configured to allow for multiple TO's to be processed without locking the TR?
For a Goods Issue against a Planned Order, the MPC will do a MIGO-GI for the materials required by the crew. This will generate a Transfer Requirement (TR) and a Transfer Order (TO) for each storage type.
This is intended to allow multiple material handlers to pick the materials for the job. However, when two or more material handlers are processing TO's against the same TR, they are getting an error message that the Transfer Requirement is locked by someone else.

It appears that we already have the material block set as Late lock for goods movement with a wait time of 10 seconds.
From what I understand now is that the material remains locked until the first material handler exits completely out of the GI menu. I'm not sure if changing the wait time will have a positive effect but I will have to wait a few days until our analyst returns to test this further.

It is not clear what you meaning about multiple environments. Do you mean these environments are in different directories or in the same directory ? If you mean environments in different dirs share the same cache, it is interesting why you need that.
If you do not use DB_PRIVATE to open the environment, the created cache will be on disk, in the environment directory, so it can be shared by multiple processes and multiple threads. Currently, the cache file is in the environment directory, and we do not support specifying a separate directory for cache only.

Expanding text field to allow for multiple pages

Disclaimer: Not a JAVA/programmer type. I typically Google things to death and try to learn from there. Created a form and followed some other's suggestions but I'm in a bind with expanding a field (text field) to allow for users to enter info and for it to print the full entry once submitted.
I changed the form to be sent using the email button to select recipients and as a pdf doc. I'd like to keep it this way. I created the form and didn't use a template. I just signed up and am looking for the button to attach the doc, created in Livecycle Designer ES with the hopes that someone could take a look at it. Can't find the attach button. If someone can provide their email address to take a look, that would be great.
Niall, I've been reading your posts and actually tried copying/pasting in one of your fields (re: subform as Flow, etc) but so far, no luck.
I selected all the usual variables for the subform/text box:
Allow Multiple Lines, Allow Breaks, Expand to Fit (Height).

Yes you can force the highlight colour on using the following script in the docReady event of the root node (normally form1):
app.runtimeHighlight = true;
You can also change the highlight colour, but this is a personal choice. Generally I would leave it at the default. This ways users are getting the same experience.
For the email submit, there are a couple of choices. If you use a regular button (instead of the Email Submit Button) you can script for custom recipients, subject line and message. There are examples here. You are probably better sticking with the example for versions of Acrobat/Reader v9 and below. You are looking for the last button. The script can be reduced to match your requirements.

You can use a regular button for the URL, so that on the click event the user is directed to Adobe's site:

Is there a Lightning splitter to allow for multiple accessories?

Recently, Logitech came out with a wired keyboard for iPad - http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wired-keyboard-ipad?crid=1240
We have various Windows-based kiosk machines, and we'd like to replace them with iPads. A Bluetooth keyboard would have been more difficult to set up and keep charged, so we were very excited that there is now a keyboard you can just plug in.
However... once you plug in the keyboard, you can no longer keep the iPad charged. Does anyone know if it's possible to have both a charging cable and an accessory plugged into one device? You'd think there would exist a splitter, but of course I can't find one.
Has anyone else run into this dilemma?

Okay, I understand your setup now. None of those things would use Lightning. You would want them all to use Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a very low-power system. It's designed on purpose for small devices with batteries in and a lot of its cleverness is its ability to listen for and broadcast using a tiny little chipset and very little battery power. So it's very good at transmitting a lot of very short messages like "they pressed the 't' key" or "your current GPS position is 1234,5678".
Lightning/Thunderbolt is a very high-power system. It's designed for transmitting huge amounts of data very fast. So it can do things like "Here is a frame for a 2048 x 768 display at 768 bits of colour per pixel" or "Here is the next 4 megabytes of your file". But to do this it uses some big chips on the circuit board, requires some very expensive cables, and uses power like you wouldn't believe, even for one tiny message. It would be a complete waste to have a Lightning keyboard, for example.
So don't worry about using Lightning for small devices which don't transmit much data, or that need to be light enough to clip to your ear.

Can we use the built-in Row fetch for Multiple reports in a page?

I need to create a page with multiple report regions. Each of it is based on a table. Those tables are different. I somewhat remembered that we can NOT use the built in automatic row fetch process if there are multiple report regions, neither the built in DML process. You have to make your own fetch and insert/update/delete process if you intend to.
Also if I write my own row fetch and update processes, do I have to consider lock mechnism? or just simply write select and insert/update?
Any input is appreciated.

I think I found the answer. Would Scott or other gurus take a look at the thread and confirm it, in case the limitation is not in 2.0?

What I am concered about is that the locking mechanism. If I have to write my own process to fetch and insert/update, other than the regular select and insert/update statements, do I have to put commit by myself, or htmldb can handle it automatically? Is there an example for this?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Can't get field labels to display above for multiple fields in one cell

I've tried searching for how to fix this to no avail. I'm new to Apex and I'm trying to get 5 fields on one line with labels above each: salutation, first name, middle initial, last name and title. I've set New Line and New Field to No for all but the first item. With the labels for each field set to Right, everything displays on one line. With the labels set to Above, fields are displayed on separate lines and I'm not sure why. There are other fields on the form as well but they are each on their own line. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Apex version is 4.1.1.00.23. I'm running the standalone Apex Listener (current version from 7/12) with a 10g database.

How can I change the default cookie-preference dialog-button to "allow for session" instead of "allow?"

Business Add-Ins
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
As with customer exits (SMOD/CMOD [Page 40]), two different views are available:
In the definition view, an application programmer predefines exit points in a source that allow specific industry sectors, partners, and customers to attach additional software to standard SAP source code without having to modify the original object.
In the implementation view, the users of Business Add-Ins can customize the logic they need or use a standard logic if one is available.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-system infrastructure (SAP and customers), but instead allow for multiple levels of software development (by SAP, partners, and customers, and as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). 1>First go to any transaction->iN THE menu bar SYSTEM->STATUS->Get the program name ->double click->u will go to the program attached to the tcode.Now search term will be CALL CL_EXITHANDLER.Now u will get list of BADI'S available..
2>Goto SE24->Give class name as CL_EXITHANDLER->Display->double click on get_instance mathod->Now u will go inside the method->Now put break point on the cl_exithandler.Now go to any transaction code and pass dat..U will see that it will be stopped on the break point which u set on the cl_exithandler...In the exit name u can find list of badi's attached to the tcode..
There are multiple ways of searching for BADI.
Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
Make sure the radio button In main program is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADIs will be listed.
The export parameter EXIT_NAME for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter INSTANCE will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).
Set flag field "Buffer trace"
Remark: We need to trace also the buffer calls, because BADI database tables are buffered. (Especially view V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT)
Push the button "Activate Trace". Start transaction VA02 in a new GUI session. Go back to the Performance trace session.
Push the button "Deactivate Trace".
Push the button "Display Trace".
The popup screen "Set Restrictions for Displaying Trace" appears.
Now, filter the trace on Objects:
V_EXT_IMP
V_EXT_ACT
Push button "Multiple selections" button behind field Objects
Fill: V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT
All the interface class names of view V_EXT_IMP start with IF_EX_. This is the standard SAP prefix for BADI class interfaces. The BADI name is after the IF_EX_.
So the BADI name of IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA is CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA
3. Go to Maintain Transaction (TCODE- SE93).
Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
Click on the Display push buttons.
Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)
Go to TCode: SE84->Enhancements->Business Add-inns->Definition
Enter the Package Name and Execute.
Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADIs for the given package MB.
The simplese way for finding BADI is
1. chooes Tcode Program & package for that Tcode.
2. Go to Tcode se18
3. Press F4
4. search by package or by program.

Tabs: previous versions allowed for saving all tabs in a bookmark folder. The new tab groups do not behave this way. How can I save permanent set of tabs as a group that is available later, like the folder of bookmars was?

tabs: previous versions of firefox allowed for saving all tabs with a group name, so you could open them all again later at your convenience. The new firefox 4.0.1 has a new tab feature, but the tab groups do not seem to persist once you shut down, and are not saved as a folder in your bookmarks. What am I missing? How can I do what I want (save permanent set of tabs as a group that is available later, like the folder of bookmarks was)? Thanks

Right click one of the tabs, the "Bookmark all tabs..." option.
