    THE use of the apple support is a mess also.
    I want to be able to use my MAC fully and easily like I used to with Snow Leopard.

    The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
    You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

    Are you sure it's a 4S and not a 4?
    You can't restore a backup made with a newer version of iOS to a phone running an older one. You must update the phone to the newer version of iOS, wipe it again, then restore the backup.

    Not every add-on Toolbar is written to allow other elements of the UI to be moved to their Toolbar. You'll have to see if it is possible to move the '''Bookmarks Toolbar Items''' ''(as it is called in the Customize mode)'' to that Toolbar. If you can, un-check the empty Bookmarks Toolbar afterward.

  • Trying to connect with a rep from abroad and can't connect by phone or chat.

    Turned on my global data plan before leaving the US but got to Brazil and no connection. Has happened before a few times.
    I need support and can't seem to get to it. I go into the contact us page, put in the issue, say I want to chat with a rep and nothing happens.
    I was told that the 800 or 909 number listed as a number I can call from overseas from my phone would work even without my international service working but no.... nothing.
    Any suggestions?

  • HT203521 In iOS8 I can't turn off shared iCloud calendar alerts. I share iCloud calendars with 3 others and am constantly getting their alarms for upcoming appointments. Settings- Notifications- Calendar- Shared Calendar Changes turns off changes only.

    Have had new iPhone 6 for 2 months, using iOS 8.  I share iCloud calendars with 3 others and I am getting bombarded with their upcoming appointment alerts.  There seems no way to turn this off.  I went to Settings->Notifications->INCLUDE(Calendar)->Shared Calendar Changes and turned everything off, but this only blocks alerts about new events or changes to events being added to the calendars, it does not block the 5-minute/10-minute/etc. alarms that go off immediately in advance of the appointment.  There used to be a setting in iOS7 in "Mail, Contacts, and Calendars" way at the bottom to turn off alarms from shared calendars, but I don't see that in iOS8.  Any ideas?

    Finally figured this out when I read jodiemcneill 's post about Google calendars.  Thanks!
    Reposting the basic idea: to turn off event alerts from shared ICloud calendars, select the Calendar App, then click the "info" (i.e., the circled red 'i') icon next to the shared iCloud calendar to be silenced. Go down to "Notifications" and turn the slider off for "Event Alerts: (Allow events on this calendar to display alerts.)"
    For good measure, you can also turn off the slider for "Show Changes" to prevent the calendar from displaying messages when shared events are added/modified/deleted, although this can be done "globally" for all shared iCloud Calendars in Settings->Notifications->Calendar->Invitations (turn off all sliders, click "none" for Alert Style).
    This has been a major pain in the ... neck ... for the past 3 months.  So glad to start the new year with a suddnely-much-quieter iPhone 6.

    For 3 weeks we have been having service issues with Comcast. We have had outage after outage of our phone, internet and cable. We have wasted countless hours on the phone with "customer service" trying to get our issues resoloved. Finally we were down to 1 issue.  Our DVR was not recording. A tech was scheduled to come out on Monday.  He came, parked outside my house, then left.  Great.   Called again, got the run around, apology, etc.  Another tech was scheduled to come out today (7/29/2015).  He showed up!!!!!   He fiddled around with some wires outside, that didn't work.  But, the TV was still working.  He replaced the box inside the house.  And then we waited for the box to reset.  AND..............NOTHING.  NO TV AT ALL.  He tried again, twice.  Still nothing.Then the tech says he thought the issue was with the line and he was "going to find his lineman, who was right around the corner".  2.5 hours later, now with no cable at all, instead of just no DVR, he still hadn't come back.   I called 1-800-XFINITY and spoke to "Jenny".  She tried to contact the tech with no luck, then she scheduled someone else to come back today to fix our issue.  SUPRISE.  Here it is 7:00 ESt and no one has shown up.  My husband has called and was told that a "ticket" was not put in to have a tech come back.  REALLY COMCAST?  This is unacceptable.  How can you think it is OK for an employee to leave a job unfinished and allow your customer to remain without services because of this?????

  • Error #1069 with new XMPData from Adobe CS5

    Hi everyone,
    I've got a video player working on adobe air, it playing well mp4 format or flv with a CS3 or CS4 export from After effects, but now with AE CS5 I've got the 1069 error :
    Error #1069: Property onXMPData not found on com.VideoPlayer and there is no default value
    I saw that the XMP data has some change with the new AE CS5, i think that the metadata of the new export files can't be read by adobe air ...
    I tried to update to air 2.0.2.12610 but it's still the same error.
    I tried also to don't add the xmpdata from AE but it's not fix the problem.
    There is a way to have the same export of the metadata from AE CS4 & CS5 ?

    Ok, i found an alternative to the mp4 with AE CS5 and adobe air.
    I use now the f4v export with CS5 and it works better than mp4 on CPU usage for the same quality !

And few members can download CC version of the s/w for example Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC etc. But I and one of my colleague can only see CS6 version to download. And even getting notification to update the s/w. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    If you are on windows OS, Click on Gear icon and Quit Creative Cloud App
    Then Right click on Creative Cloud desktop shortcut and choose properties.
    Then Click on compatibility tab
    Under compatibility mode ""Make sure "Run this program in  compatibility  mode for " box is unchecked.
    If it is checked, uncheck it and click on Apply, Ok. Then launch Creative Cloud App and try.

    If I order Production Premium CS4 UPGRADE from Adobe (I now have CS3 ProPre); are there printed hard-copy manuals? And if so, how many?

    There are no printed manuals included with any version of the software.
    I believe there are pdf files on the DVDs which are basically a subset
    of what is available in the help files. There are installed helpfiles
    and internet based help files. The internet based helpfiles are the most
    comprehensive and up-to-date. In the past printed manuals were made
    available for a fee.

  • Can not play TW 12 on-line with 7.0.1, but played well with 7.0.

    EA Sports on-line Tiger Woods 12 ; while trying to load game and/or playing the game the game shuts down with an error--can not load asset bundle. I have been playing Tiger Woods online game since June 2010.

    Do you have the latest version of iTunes installed?
    If you are using iTunes on a PC and go to the Help menu - I believe as I'm doing this from memory - there should be an option there to check for an update. If using a Mac you can just select the Apple Menu and check for updates, although there is a method for checking within iTunes itself - it may be the Store menu in iTunes for Mac, again I'm doing this from memory as I'm at work currently.

    No.  A TB display can only be connected to a TB source.

    As indicated in that artical a displayport device can be connected to a TB source.  But that is not your situation.

    It will almost certainly not be possible. If you don't sign up for AT&T service for the iPad, then replace your Sprint card with a MiFi or Overdrive device from Sprint. This will use your Sprint service, but connect to your iPad using Wi-Fi. It also has the advantage of you being able to use it with any Wi-Fi capable device. IOW, you can use both your laptop and iPad at the same time with the MiFi or Overdrive, but only have to pay for one Sprint account. Of course, all devices that connect to the MiFi or Overdrive will use up your 5GB allotment, unless you use Overdrive in a 4G area. (Overdrive is unlimited on 4G, but has a 5GB cap in 3G areas.)
