Can a virus be transferred through itunes sharing?

I have a mac and a pc. I am trying to transfer music between them and was wondering if i
have to worry about a virus possibly being transferred either direction or if itunes stops it some
how.?

The mouse itself has no storage in which to hide a Virus. Use it on your new Mac and do not worry about it for a moment.
That is false information.
There are many mice on the market that have internal memory for storing button settings and other preferences that can be accessed by the OS. That memory can be used to contain a virus if its specifically written to infect them, but none have been written to affect a Mac.

how to delete a album or photo transfered through itune?

This must be done on the computer. The phone holds your pictures/albums hostage until you uncheck/unsync them from iTunes itself. You cannot delete them via the iPhone at all.

What time will IOS 5 be available in Belgium? Also can I get it only through ITunes or is there another way? Thanks

The rules are straight forward ...
Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

  • I can not restore my iphone through iTunes

I can not restore my iphone through iTunes , it gives you can not restore error accured 3194

This often happens with Jailbroken phones.  If that's the case, we can't support you in these forums as it is against the terms of use.  This is Apple's information on error 3194:
This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert, update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect.  For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart. Also, using an older or modified .ipsw file can cause this issue. Try moving the current .ipsw file, or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

  • Can I delete songs from my iPad or can I only delete them through iTunes?

Does the iPad 1 allow me to delete songs, or can I only do this through iTunes?

For the iPod app, you delete through iTunes as part of the usual sync procedure.
Other third-party apps that can store and play music may allow you to delete directly on the iPad.

I have the same problem PLUS I get the "Genius is temporarily unable to show you related music..." whenever I select a song. This occurs even when I log in as Administrator. Updating to 8.0.1 did not fix either problem.
I can access the iTunes Store and download music. Genius had no problems uploading my iTunes Library info, and it can create playlists for selected songs. I believe this rules out communications and authorization problems. I have a G4 Mac Mini, a G5 PowerPC, and an Intel iMac with the same problem, so it's unlikely to be a Mac hardware issue. A firewall problem was unlikely (since I can access the iTunes Store), but I tested this with the firewall off. Both problems still remained. Updating Genius, turning Genius off and then on again, reinstalling iTunes 8, updating to 10.5.5, etc. did not work.
The only unusual factor is that I have HughesNet satellite 'broadband.' I cannot see how that would matter, but perhaps the individual song iTunes Store and Genius features don't get along with something in my HughesNet 'modem.' Any ideas from other users?

  • Can you play an iPhone through iTunes?

I can see all my music on my iPhone when I plug it into my Mac at work - running iTunes - but I cannot play any of the music it as it's grayed out?
Is there something I need to do to be able to play it - can I do that? -use iTunes to play my iPhone through my Mac on my desk at work?
Both iTunes accounts are authorized to buy and play music with my one apple account name.
    Thanks for any input.

Go to the summary tab of your iPod in iTunes. There should be an option to Manually Manage Music and Video, or something to that effect. Make sure that's checked. That may do it.

  • Can you recover purchased music through Itunes?

I had a skipping issue with my Ipod and finally re-sync-ed it with Itunes but lost about $150 worth of music (that was already on there, all purchased through Itunes but on my dead computer, hence not recoverable)is there any way to recover the music I've lost? Does Itunes store my purchase history? I know how to access the current stuff it's the previously purchased stuff I want. My MIL says I can but did explain how, does anyone know?
      Windows XP

If you had no back up I'm afraid the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email your query: iTMS Customer Service

  • IOS 7: Can I restore factory settings through iTunes?

My wife dropped her iPad 2 and shattered the screen. We are going to upgrade rather than fix it. I would like to get a few bucks for the old one, but I don't want to sell it unless I can wipe everything off of it first. Even if I can't sell it, I don't want to trash it unless I can wipe it clean. Is there no longer an option to restore to factory settings through iTunes? I can't use the settings app because the screen is broken.

I have one word for you: Sledgehammer.  Won't have to be concerned about security after that.
It wipes and disposes at the same time.

  • I can't download ios 6 through iTunes or wirelessly.  I keep getting a "software is corrupted" or error message.  Please help...

I can't update my iphone or iPad through iTunes OR over my wifi network...I get either a "corrupted file" message or an erorr message.  I've tried 10-20 times over the past week, and at different times of the day.  Any advice?  Thanks in advance...

I have been getting the "unable to purchase" message on my home laptop, work laptop, and IPAD for at least two weeks now.  When I get my password entered, I'm asked to choose three questions and answer them to insure my future security.  As soon as I get that, I know I'm in trouble.  I choose the 3 questions and answer them, only to be told "unable to purchase at this time".  I've been working with someone over email, and it's become incredibly frustrating.  I feel like I'll never be able to download from itunes again.

  • I can't add/remove apps through iTunes.

I wanted to sync my apps with iTunes, as I haven't got the iTunes app on my iPhone (don't know how I did that either lol) and I also wanted it for some other stuff. Now the box 'Sync Apps' is unchecked, and when I check it iTunes warns me that every app and content of that app will be removed and replaced by the apps in the iTunes library.. I'm really not that keen on losing data in Whatsapp for instance, as my memory depends on that app, lol.
Anyway, is there any possibility that I can add/remove apps through iTunes without losing data on my iphone? Maybe by making some sort of backup?
I really hope there's someone with an answer to this one, as I'm really out of ideas to solve this.
    Thanks,
    Axel

Guess what I didn't lose any data, not even in for instance games like Coin Dozer or Whatsapp or anything! I don't know how, but it's true! I didn't even have to re-login Wordfeud! Hurray!
