Can ACR4 curve display current adjustments?

I suspect this is not currently possible, but perhaps it might be a future ACR feature to consider.
(According to my understanding:) Adjusting Exposure and Black point is similar to moving the end points of a curve or level adjustment. Brightness and Contrast apply different shaped curves which affect mid-tone or highlight/shadow tones of the image. When I go to the Curve tab (after performing the above adjustments) I'm presented with a straight line, like you get when adding a new curve adjustment layer on top of a stack of other adjustments.
Is there a way to display a curve (perhaps a faint coloured curve superimposed on the straight one) that reflects the current state of adjustment? This would help users better interact with the interface by showing those tonal areas that are being most affected by the adjustments. This would increase understanding of how the adjustments interact.

Yes, I agree that we all want a straight curve when we open the curve pallet. But I just wondered if there might be a curve representation somewhere regarding what the Brightness and Contrast sliders are doing to the image? The Histogram is not well suited to this. Perhaps a cumulative curve made visible by pressing the Ctrl (or Option)Key while viewing the Curves pallet?
I should probably take this to feature requests as I assume the answer is "no, there is no such animal" :-)

"This page can't be displayed because your computer is currently offline" - what exactly does that mean? I've gone through and repaired by hard drive, and there didn't seem to be a problem there. I've manually entered in an IP address several times...and I've checked that there are no proxies selected. Any suggestions or thoughts on what I could do?

Here's a little background info:
     Connection is to school wifi. I traveled out of the U.S. and connected to a university wifi - authenticated the 802.1x there...so - i've corrected that problem so far.
     I've rebooted my computer several times, checked the hard drive for "damages."
     I've made sure to have the correct username/password combinations.
     As of right now, the 802.1x won't authenticate, but I don't think that's what's causing me to have an "offline connection"

Made several attemps in fresh instalaltion without any success.

So I assume it is version 9.3, not sure?
Look at the application in the Finde, if you cannot launch it.
Select your iPhoto application in in the Applications folder and use the command "File > Get Info". What does the Info panel show in the "General" brick?
If it says 9.4.3, try to launch iPhoto by clicking the iPhoto icon in the Applications folder. Does that work?

Can you make white balance/exposure adjustments on top of current adjustments across multiple shots?

Hi There,
We have a bunch of shots taken using natural light - the shots all have completely different exposure and white balance adjustments.
Now that the shots feel like they've been shot at the same time of day (and on the same day) we'd like to start adjusting the white balance accross multiple shots - but use the current white balance/exposure from each individual shot as the starting point - not reset the adjustments.
Kind of like baking the current settings or making adjustments on top of current adjustments - or make new adjustments relative to the current adjustments.
Hope that makes sense - is this possible in Lightroom?

Ya know, some people use Lr with the histogram closed so as not to get distracted by the technical aspects. I could adjust an image using the histogram only, without looking at the image!
FWIW, amount of temp/tint per increment is fixed for RGB files. I never figured out how it decides the increment for raws, but I'd very much like to know it, in order to normalize relative adjustments when a mix of raw & rgb files are selected.

Can the Curve output the ringtones and SMS notifications to headphones or to an externally connected speaker?

Ok, here's the deal. I'm a network engineer, and my company uses a monitoring system which sends SMS text messages to pre-defined corporate cellphone numbers when something requires an engineer's attention. My problem is that I'm a VERY deep sleeper (laugh if you must; I need three separate alarms to wake up in the morning), and my current phone's speaker (a Curve 8310) is simply not loud enough to wake me up. Nor is any other phone, I would imagine. Not unless it has a 30-minute ringtone.
So my question is, can the Curve, when connected to an external speaker or a pair of headphones via 3.5mm audio cable, output its ringer or its SMS notification tones through the audio jack to the speaker/headphones in addition to (or instead of) the phone's built-in speaker?

eh, you never know... I've had people thank me PROFUSELY, before, for giving them those loud tones, but of course they tried them first
Your Alarm tone can be as long as you want... Mine repeats until I touch the screen, then I have a one minute snooze. I use a loud tone also, because most would never awaken me.

Making a graph with a voltage input on each axis with a continous curve display

I need to make a graph that can display two voltages, with one of the voltages on each axis. I have accomplished this by using an xy graph. The problem is I need a curve to be displayed as the voltages change similar to the curve displayed in the waveform chart. Currently, a line is displayed between the inital point and the final point but it then disappears.

I should have explained my example more. I used the same signal for both the X and Y inputs of my XY graph, so the linearly increasing line is expected behavior. In order to do what you want, you need to use a split signal VI after the DAQ Assistant express VI. Once you place the split signal VI on the block diagram you can expand it so that it has two output nodes and wire them to the X and Y input terminals of the Build XY Graph express VI.
Similarly, for the array example, you can use the split signal and then use two build array VIs. In order to reset the graph you can just initialize the shift registers with a zero to clear the graph each time it runs. This will clear the graph at the beginning of each run (and not at the end).

Xclock Error: Can't open display: - after upgrading to openSSH 5.2p1

I have got two servers apssvrX and apssvrZ on OEL. Both were built by the same team using their standard build scripts.
Having received the servers I had installed Oracle (ODI) product on it successfully.
Then as a part of requirement and as per Oracle support's advise, I had upgraded the ssh version on apssvrX server from OpenSSH_4.3p2 To OpenSSH_5.2p1, so that, I can implement the chroot jailing.
As per Oracle advise, I had downloaded the 3 RPMs from "_http://layer1.rack911.com/openssh/rhel5/x86_64/" to run them on my first server i.e., apssvrX and then configured the sshd services following the below steps:
a) Modify /etc/ssh/sshd_config to comment the below line:
#Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server
b) Add below lines:
Subsystem sftp internal-sftp
Match Group sftponly
ChrootDirectory %h
X11Forwarding no
AllowTcpForwarding no
ForceCommand internal-sftp
Then lastly, Restart sshd services complete the configuration
# /etc/init.d/sshd restart
apssvrX server current details are as below:
apssvrX$ uname -a

My problems started from this point onwards. I want to install another Oracle product using OUI, but when I try to execute xclock using the Exceed HummingBird tool on apssvrX server then it fails with the error - (xclock) Error: Can't open display:
I tried the DISPLAY variable setup as well but to no use.
Whereas I can successfully execute the xclock on apssvrZ and OUI as well. Its config details are as below:

How can I use the color adjustments interface that shows up for camera raw on other files types? The HLS controls had the secondary color adjustments (6 colors instead of the 3). Plus, it had same vibrancy and a better Curves interface. Yesterday was the first time I imported raw into Photoshop CS5 and I got that really cool interface. What is that? Can I use that on other file formats?

Actually I am using the Tradional Chinese Version, when I try to edit the jpg file with camera raw, the system shows that there is no camera raw plug-in. The cmaera raw never work.

Display current month records only

Hi Experts,
I have the following requirement.
Report should display current month records only.
For example If the report is run on 20090324, It should display records from 20090301 to 20090324.
That means, report may run on any date of that month, It should display from 01 (of that month) to current date.
I have a select statement saying
SELECT * FROM likp
WHERE wadat_ist BETWEEN month_start_date AND sy-datum
    AND vkorg IN s_vkorg
    AND vkbur IN s_vkbur
    AND kunnr IN s_kunnr.
How to calculate date for month_start_date, so that it can display only current month records.

How to display current navigation on "Body only" page layout

I create a new page and applied "Body only" page layout which is basically PageFromDocLayout.aspx
But it doesn't show current navigation. How do I show current navigation on left side of the page? I have the code which will display current navigation but I don't know where to paste it inside page layout because there doesn't seem to be any space for that.
Or is it something that I can enable disable from somewhere?

There is no QuickLaunch snippet. There is one by the name of "Vertical Navigation" which I think is QuickLaunch snippet so I copied its code in PlaceHolderMain section inside page layout but getting error:
ContentPlaceHolder can only be used in .master files.

Ok I managed to do it by adding Vertical Navigation inside a separate <td> in my master page and then I only display it when page is not home page. So the is something like:

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0
I have two tables which has parent child relation among the both.
I dragged the parent table as a adf form on to the .jspx page.
Now if i am trying to delete fifth record in the parent table it is giving error message like "Table has child record, delete unsuccessful"
It is fine, but the control going to first record after deletion.
But i want to display current deleting record on the page if deletion is unsuccessful.
Can anybody help me to resolve the above one.

In this code when the bolded if condition fails i want to delete that record. I tried "delete struct1 index sy-tabix" but that record is not deleted.

I am new to Java, and basically I want to know how I can return the current date as a variable, so for example, I have declared the following date variable

If all you want is a date for printing or displaying, the easiest way is to use Date as shown below. If you need something more complex, look at the Calendar API.

Hi Arun,
You can define fixed header lines and footer lines so that when you generate the query list, they can receive current values of certain fields. When you define a header line or a footer line, you must specify a character string of the type &field, where field is the short name of a field.
This function allows you (for example) to place a sort criterion in the header line.
You can include the following fields as variables in the headers directly:
%NAME
Name of the user processing the query
%DATE
Current date
%TIME
Current time
%PAGE
Current page number (6 characters)
%P
Current page number (3 characters)
These fields can be used in the short forms N,D,T and P. If you want to use these letters as short names for query fields, the field values from the query are used.
