Can Adobe 6.0 Standard Windows 7

Can Adobe 6.0 Standard be installed in a Windows 7 machine?

Frankvisco1 even for Windows Vista we recommended users utilize Acrobat 8.  I would recommend reviewing Run Acrobat on Windows Vista.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Standard (Windows,English)

I purchased Acrobat X yesterday for download from the site.  The application downloaded however it will not install.  I receive an error message saying that I do not have enough space for the installation.  This should absolutely not be true.
I did notice in the system requirements that it calls for Windows XP and I am running Windows Vista.
How can I resolve this problem?

    Hi,
Win Vista is supported for Acrobat X
    1. May I know how much space do you have on the C : drive ?
    2. Are you trying to install on C: or any other drive ?
You may also try deleting the temp files. For this follow this :
    1. click on start
    2. type %temp% in the search area
    3. hit enter
    4. clear everything from that folder
    5. empty recycle bin
    6. try installing it again, make sure you should have 1.1 GB of available hard disk space as per system requirements : http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatstandard/tech-specs.html

  • Can flex start a standard windows application

    Hi
I am building an application in flex 3 and I need it to be
able start other windows application and pass information to that
application via the command line, is this possible? I have not been
able to find any thing that says it can or cannot, I am assuming
    not at this stage.
If I have to, I can use Air but I would prefer to stick to
browser based, I really don't want the hassle of deploying the
    application.
    Thanks.

I think this would probably work from a browser based swf as
    well.

  • X220 Lenovo power manager vs. standard Windows controls

    Hi,
I have installed Lenovo power manager on my x220 win7 32 bit laptop. Different settings can be configured in standard windows power settings and Lenovo tool, for example what happens when lid gets closed. Which of these two will take effect?

    Hey there mmuza,
I actually had to go check this on my machine here to see what would happen. Through some trial I found that when you change the setting in one, it should change it in the other. For Example:
Using Windows Power Options you go in to the Power Plan you are currently using, click change plan settings, click change advanced power settings, and scroll down to lid options. You can change this to shut down. If you then go into the Lenovo Power Manager, open the dropdown for events and look at Lid, it changed to shutdown as well. I then switched this to sleep in the Power Manager, and then went back to the Windows Power Options. It reflected this change to sleep as well. It is important to note that when looking at these settings to make sure you are looking at the same power plans. For example maximum performance, or maximizing battery life.
    I hope this helps mmuza.

Trying to install Acrobate 8 Standard on PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. During the installation I was asked to provide "File Adobe PDF.dll for Windows Vista. How can I obtain the required file?

Nothing in the Acrobat 8.x product family is compatible with Windows 7 (or any contemporary OS).
The Acrobat 8.x product family passed into End of Support way back -- (November 2011).
The current release of Acrobat (XI) is compatible in Windows 7.
    Be well...

  • Help? Adobe Acrobat 11 Standard - just purchased for windows 7 now I can't open pdf files or attach?

    Help!!!
I just puchased the latest Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.
I put in the Serial Key number but my computer tells me that a qualifying product could not be found on my computer so I can't use the adobe product. So now I can't open any files or attach pdf files onto emails without this message coming up. I've un-installed the "Adobe Acrobat XI Standard twice! with no luck.
I need it sorted ASAP as I'm trying to work! Any suggestions?

DotBellaParis if you are being asked for a qualifying product then it would appear you purchased an upgrade to Acrobat XI Standard.  You should have the opportunity to enter the serial number for your previous purchase of Acrobat.  You can find information on how to locate your previous serial numbers at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3987968#3987968?promoid=KBHJW.
If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade then I would recommend submitting a return request.  You can find more details on submitting a return at Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/return-cancel-or-change-order.html.  Once you have returned the upgrade you can then purchase the full version which will not ask you for a qualifying product or serial number.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard version in Windows 8.1 and when I try to create a .pdf file, I receive the following error message "Acrobat could not open "file name.log" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.  To create a PDF document, go to the source application then print the document to .pdf"  I am going to the source application and printing the document to .pdf yet it's saving the file as a .log file.  After reinstalling the software, I initially didn't encounter this problem but on my second and third attempts to convert files to .pdf format, this error message reappeared.  How do I resolve this problem?

I have a similar problem which i did not have before...and it exists only in some powerpoint files which i want to print as a pdf file...and i get the same message as above.
the log says the bellow details...what's the problem and how can i resolve it? thanks.

I am having  Original CD with product Key number with me, valid for 2 pc, although using just one. Please advice how to do

    Hello yogeshjain,
You might need to choose 'Deactivate' option under Acrobat Help menu.
Once you are done with Windows reinstallation, you can again activate Acrobat with the registered serial number.

  • How do I correct the error: adobe acrobat 9 distiller can not find its standard icc profiles.

How do I correct the error: Adobe Acrobat 9 distiller can not find its standard ICC profiles. Please reinstall adobe acrobat to correct this problem?
I have tried all the suggestion in the forums. But I keep getting the error. I reinstalled AA9 Pro and downloaded the updates. But I keep getting the error.
I recently upgraded to Windows 7.

You have permissions issues on the respective folders, e.g. Windows\System32\Color and so on. Fix them and allow all apps to access the contents.

  • Problems with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on Windows 7

used to have this on my Window XP; now Windows 7 computer and tried to download Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. It not only does not work, I cannot use the Adobe Acrobate Reader which was already on the computer. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess is that you have a 64-bit machine (you did not mention). In that case, you need to do the updates for proper operation. If you can open Acrobat, the updates can be done from the Help menu. If you can not, then you will need to download them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows. Download the newest first and check which prior update is needed and work back to your current version (maybe 9.0.0). Then do the updates and reboot after the last update.
With a reinstall it is a good idea to delete the Acrobat folder prior to reinstalling. In addition, disable anti-virus of the update installation.
