Can Adobe Forms Central produce Section 508 compliant web forms?

Hello! I've been investigating using Adobe Forms to create a survey for a product I'm creating. While I love the functionality available to me, when I tested the preview of the form I created, WAVE Accessibility Checker noted the form a lot of errors associated with it.
I'm curious if there is a method by which one can make the survey 508 Compliant, or if plans were in the works to add this functionality?

Why is the powered by Adobe Forms Central footer reappeared on our web forms?

Our online registration forms now have the Adobe Forms Central advertising footer reappear. We paid the subscription to not have that. ideas on why they have now reappeared?

These forms are not embedded correctly. I'm surprised they even work. You need to go to the distribute tab, click Embed button, copy the embed code provided and then paste that into your HTML. Is the OBPM Workspace application section 508 Compliant

Our customers need the application to be section 508 compliant. Is the out of the box ...OBPM workspace application compliant or would we have to build our own user interface and use papi to interact with BPM?

You will need to chat with either Oracle Support or PWC should have a Oracle Sales channel or something that can get you this information. I remember reading that they where heading in that direction... other than that it was not an issue for me.

Is Discoverer 4.1 section 508 compliant

I would like to get any documentation if any that states that Discoverer 4.1 or the Oracle Discoverer 9iAS version is section 508 compliant. Section 508 requirements describe the design features and constraints needed to support persons with disabilities.

Yes, I see what you mean now.
Unfortunately there is no easy way of rectifying this in 4.0.2. You will find that the situation is greatly improved from 4.1 forwards. Meaningful ALT's or empty ALT's have been added to appropriate images rendered by the engine for IRR's. For example those particular images make up the contents of a link, where the link text is already visible and available to assistive technologies, so the images are treated as decorative (alt=""), and thus ignored by assistive technologies. Also, I should say, considerable time and effort has gone into fixing accessibility related issues since 4.0.2 (and obviously a huge number of other improvements and fixes), so I would strongly recommend you try and upgrade, if it's at all possible. (Although, I know it's often not that simple.)
Regarding fac586's comments, yes definitely and thank you for pointing out those feature requests. Work in the last couple of releases has certainly been moving toward allowing for greater CSS customisation (although mainly with our native themes admittedly). And we've often talked about and wanting to update IRR's to use cleaner, more semantic HTML, using more modern JavaScript and CSS techniques and allowing greater customisation. (We have to be a bit careful with controls or icons that use CSS-served images, where the meaning is solely conveyed by the image, because of how Windows High Contrast treats them (it ignores them). But that's an aside.)
Sorry again I can't offer you more for 4.0.2, but I would definitely look at trying to upgrade if you can to be sure you're getting the most accessible output.

ADOBE Forms Central - add and remove rows (PDF Form)

Hello, I am currently evaluating ‘ADOBE Forms Central' to set up a form with editable fields. I have set up a test form in ADOBE Forms Central and was unable to insert an option to add and remove rows similar to the print screen attached. Is this possible to do using ADOBE Forms Central or should I be using

A dynamic XFA PDF form can do this. You can create such forms with LiveCycle Designer, which was included with the Windows version of Acrobat Pro prior to version 11. It is now a separate product.
XFA forms can't be used with FormsCentral, however, only Acroforms can.

I can't get the file attachment in a web form to work

I have a web form made in Business Catalyst that I'm having some problems with. I have added a file attachment option, but I can't get this to work properly.
When a user chooses a file and sends the form, the message that is being sent includes the name of the file that was attached, but not the file itself! What am I doing wrong?
This is the web form (in Norwegian, but you get the idea of where the file upload is) In this form, the file "produktark_plusstjenester.pdf" has been attached.
The e-mail that is being sent now looks like this (I have removed the private information). But as you can see, it mentions the file produktark_plusstjenester.pdf (94,45 kb), but it is not attached in the e-mail itself.

File on web forms is attached to the case. Go to the case in the admin and you can retrieve the file.

How can I validate a field on a Flash web form?

I'm trying to create a Flash web form. I have many fields
like Email, username and so on. I would like to add a code to
validate the email, How can I program the Flash to report an error

you can use a conditional statement, like when the use clicks
the 'submit' button or something, then run a check to see if
there's anything in the fields. Where email is concerned you may
want to check by the '@' reference. so use something like:
if(username_txt.text == null || email_txt.text.indexOf("@")
< 0) {
//throw an error here and stop the sending

Forms 10.1.2.0.2: Web Form does not appear at Runtime with CALL_FORM

We have a number of forms we're executing as web forms using Oracle JInitiator 1.3.1.22. We have one form in particular that, when a button is pressed, is supposed to call another form via the CALL_FORM built-in.
We are passing a parameter list to the new form, and executing the CALL_FORM built-in with these Setting Parameters:
CALL_FORM( formmodule_name => '<OUR_FORM_NAME>',
           display         => NO_HIDE,
           switch_menu     => NO_REPLACE,
           query_mode      => NO_QUERY_ONLY );When we run the starting form as a web form (via JInitiator 1.3.1.22), and press the button to call the other form, all buttons on the starting form are greyed-out/disabled. The called form does not appear.
I have carried out a number of checks with my own debugging tool (stored procedure writing messages to a table via an autonomous transaction), and forms focus is definitely been transferred to the called form. For example, the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger in the called form is definitely being executed.
I suspect this problem is JVM-related rather than Forms-specific. My current plan of attack is to request the Application Server Logs tomorrow morning (I don't currently have access to them) and see if I can find any Java-related error messages. However, if any of you reading this have experience of this type of problem and can offer any assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know your suggestions/advice.

You could check the settings of the window in the calling form. If its set to "Modal" or "Dialog", and the window in the called form has other settings, the new window might be opened "behind" the old window.

How to: migrate Form to Excel via DDE to Web Form functionality

Old client/server environment 4.5 runtime has several forms going back and forth to excel via DDE.
Want to migrate Forms into Web Forms environment using 9iAS ... anyone have ideas on how to best approach handling the excel spreadsheet related issues?

How can I refresh only a section of a web Page

I am generating a web page using pl/sql. This web page has
multiple sections in it. Only first ten records of each
sections are displayed and the user can click on <prev> <next>
button to display the prev/next 10 records. e.g.,
Section 1 - Previous Names
Smith
Owen
McDonald
<<Prev 10 Next 10>>
Section 2 - Previous Addresses
111 State St.
121 Altamont Ave.
48 Apt 1., Bleeker St.
<<Prev 10 Next 10>>
Section 3 and so on ...
My dilemma is that if a user wants to display the next ten
records of a Section (e.g. Previous Names), I only want that
part of the page to refresh instead of the entire page to reload
again (similar to an ASP using Remote Scripting).
Can this be done in Oracle using PL/Sql?

Each Section is independent of the other i.e., the change in the
contents of one section shouldn't affect the contents of another
section. This works fine. I am able to change the contents of
a section without affecting the contents of another section. I
basically keep track of each sections starting position.
Though this works fine and gets me what I want, it's not very
efficient. Each time a section's contents change (by clicking
prev/next) the whole page needs to be reloaded. I want only the
section that was clicked on to reload.
In Active Server Pages (asp), a person can use "remote
scripting" to reload only a part of the page without reloading
the entire page. I was wondering if this could be done using
PL/Sql as well?
I could certainly use frames but that's not an option. Frames
are a big no no here.

How can I use the global varialbes in the Web Form Server?

When I migrate the Form5 to Form6i and deploy the form into WEB, I encounter a problem. In Form5, I use a form to call all the functions forms and process the login. So, the functions forms can get the login user's information by :Global variable. Now, in Web method, I use a jsp to process the login and functions hyperlinks, and the problem is how can I build a global variable in jsp and access by form in form server?

Nested tables are not supported in Forms 6i, only simple object tables.

Why can't i use droid4 hardware keyboard in web forms?

I have a droid4, and with aurora I can type in the url address bar with my hardware keyboard, but I can't type in forms such as usernames, passwords, message bodies, etc. With the hardware keyboard. If I change to a touchscreen keyboard then it's ok. I'm typing this message using the dolphin browser because aurora can't. (I got a droid4 because I'm terrible with touchscreen keyboarding)
Sometimes I am able to type in the first page or two, but something quickly goes awry and I'm rarely able to. use aurora in web forums or other interactive-by-keyboard things like bank accounts etc. Please help!
This seems to have happened about a month or so ago, about the time I was starting to pick aurora before opera or dolphin, but now I'm ending up using dolphin more again so I can type.

Does this only happen with Aurora? What about Firefox or Firefox beta in the Play Store?

How do I remove the "SUBMIT" button from a forms central PDF?

I downloaded a fillable PDF I want to e-mail now, but I want to remove the "SUBMIT" button that is added on for forms central.

When you convert a web form that you've created in FormsCentral and download as a PDF, you have the option of not including a submit button. If you created a PDF form with the desktop version of Acrobat, it won't have a submit button unless you upload it to the FormsCentral service and enable it for submission.
Still, you can remove it in Acrobat by first saving a non-enabled version by selecting: File > Save A Copy
and opening the copy (it doens't happen automatically) and deleting the button.
