Can adobe reader dc be used to combine adobe acrobat files

I am trying to identify if there is a free adobe software that can combine adobe acrobat files together.  My printer scans documents one page at a time, and I need to combine them into one file.

thank you for your quick response and recommendation.

  • Can i use adobe reader for business use?

i'm starting a computer repair business and need adobe reader for lots of pdf documents and was wandering if i can use adobe reader for business use?

Before trying to answer your question, a bit of advise: don't post your email address in a public forum such as this, as you did in the message above. I am answering to the one before that, so that you may remove your address from your last message.
As to your question, the short and frank answer is "I don't know". The long answer is that I still don't see where the free Reader comes in your making some money. For backing up files, one does not need the program used to create or open them; one can just copy and paste them, without even opening them. And while one does need Reader or Acrobat to open the PDF files and then print them, in the eyes of this complete ignorant of the pertinent laws even in my own country, you would be fully justified if you charged for your time and for the use of your computer and your printer. As I understand things, many print shops (those using presses, not printers) print from PDF files provided by their clients without even needing to ask Adobe for permission to do so.
Let's hope that someone with a better knowledge of the legal aspects of this matter reads your question.

Adobe Reader Splash--I have a PDF file that whenever I try to open it suggests using Adobe Reader with a link to download Adobe Reader. I can't get beyond this. I have made Preview the default for all PDF's and yet this persists. I have also deleted Adobe Reader. This particular file is a portfolio, btw.

I have similar issue. Did u find an answer?

  • Is Adobe Reader safe to use now, or did we have a spoof message?

This last week we received a message supposedly from Adobe. It appeared on screen in a large panel BEFORE we went online into our email site, so it didnt come through our usual yahoo channel. It warned that Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76, Adobe Reader 9.3.4 and Adobe Acrobat 9.3.4 (and ALL earlier programmmes) were critically flawed and there was evidence that Flash Player was letting in attackers. It said the computer would crash and thats when they get the opportunity. Well our computer had crashed just prior to this, and once since. It also recommended removing all affected Adobe kit and relacing it with updated versions.
We checked our Flash player which was 10.0.45.2. -plainly older than the latest one. It recommended downloading Flashplayer 10.1.85.3. However when we erased our Flash Player and asked for the latest update it only offered us 10.0.45.2 again! Why? (We have been subscribing to the free package).
However, this is somewhat irrelevant as this is the Reader Forum. Whats important to say here is that currently we have removed ALL our Adobe kit for fear it is unsecure: Flash Player, Reader and Plug-in.
My Reader question is: Is Adobe Reader 9.3.4 safe to use now? I contacted a collegue, who says hes only got Reader 9.1 on his, so if this message is true, then he is affected as well. Can anyone confirm if this message was from Adobe? As it didnt go via yahoo we dont have a record of it once we switched off, but assume it was genuine as Adobe usually reaches us this way. But we are hesitant to go back to it if it means trouble. Our computer is quite modern, uses windows and we usually go through Firefox.

    Hi,
Yes, Adobe had fixed some security flaws, via Adobe Reader 9.3.4. Hope the following links will help, you gather more information about the security fixes in Adobe Reader 9.3.4:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-17.html
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83708.html
You can safely download Adobe Reader 9.3.4 through the below mentioned link without any fear of being hacked.
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.4/enu/AdbeRdr934_en_US.exe
The same goes for Adobe Acrobat 9.3.4 as well.
    Thanks.

  • Safari 5.1.7, using Adobe Reader 10.1.3, does not display pdf files.

I use Safari 5.1.7 and Adobe Reader 10.1.3.  I have mac osx.6.8 which, according to Adobe, is compatible with Adobe Reader 10.1.3.  Selecting a pdf file to display results in a black page.  Why?

    Hi..
    Try removing a plugin...
    Quit Safari.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin (or just PDF Browser plugin) from the Internet Plug-Ins folder to the Trash.
    Relaunch Safari to test.

    Google Chrome is a problem:
if you use Chrome's own PDF viewer, the results are unpredictable.
if you use the Adobe Reader plugin with Chrome, it may reject (block) it if it is not the latest version.  Reader 11.0.08 is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome may insist on the current version 11.0.10.
My suggestion; use a different browser!

  • How can I load up some pdfFiles from adobe Reader on my iPad into my Adobe Creative Cloud?

How can I load up some pdfFiles from adobe Reader on my iPad into my Adobe Creative Cloud?

There is no app for uploading files from an iPad to the Adobe Creative Cloud, and the iPad security model does not allow for upload of files from the browser. The Adobe Touch Apps do provide syncing up to the Creative Cloud but none of them are really designed for working with pdf files.
You can connect your iPad and move the files to your computer. From your computer you can upload the files via a web browser.

can i read a book using windows 7

Depends on the type of book.  an unprotected PDF Ebook or a a protected book for a reader that work on Windows yes.  (like A Kindle book in Kindle for Windows)
A book bought from iBooks with DRM protection, no.  It can only be read within the iBooks application on an iDevice or Mac computer.
    No iBooks for Windows.

  • Is adobe reader safe to use on a mac?

is adobe reader safe to use on a mac? I've heard recently that there may be a problem with Adobe Reader on the Mac.

Yes, Adobe Reader is safe to use. Download it directly from the Adobe site at http://get.adobe.com/reader/ .
There was recently some malware that involved Adobe Flash, however, that has nothing to do with the Reader.

    Mark,
I would be interested in knowing how you can decouple the obpmlogviewer.exe app from the OBPM Enterprise installation.
How can I send a simple .zip file to others and tell them: "hey, unzip (or install) this only and you will be able to read OBPM engine logs files on your local machine" ?
The logViewer executable can't be run without an enterprise install (at least not easily decoupled), however, an alternative, would be to pass someone the .jnlp and some log files.... To do this, open up the process admin, and in the top right, is a link for 'Launch Log Viewer'. Open that, and then go to 'File - Save As', and this will save a java executable to your computer.
I'm pretty sure you can pass that, and either an admin user and password to view 'live' logs, or just have them cancel the remote log, and open a local file....
    Adam,
PS: I don't see any opbmlogreader.exe or .sh or .bet in the OBPM_HOME\bin directory. I am looking at OBPM standalone, and the only relevant files I can see are obpmlogviewer.exe , obpmlogviewer.lax , lax.jar. Am I missing something?
MaxI too don't have the log reader, however I do remember it... I'm thinking the .sh might only be included in the linux distribution of enterprise, so I'm downloading that now to verify... I will let you know what I find...

  • This regards Adobe Reader XI 11.0.07 and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.07 running on Win 7. Copying text in a text callout (to paste into a text callout in another pdf document (3 instances of Adobe open) sometimes (only sometimes) causes the program to crash

This regards Adobe Reader XI 11.0.07 and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.07 running on Win 7. Copying text in a text callout (to paste into a text callout in another pdf document (3 instances of Adobe open) sometimes (only sometimes) causes the program to crash, losing unsaved work. Windows Task Manager shows only a small percentage of cpu used and plenty of memory available. What is causing this?

This usually occurs if you use a browser that uses its own PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

  • Adobe Reader 11.0.5 asks to save every file I open...

Every time I open a file just to look at it: When I exit, Adobe Reader asks if I want to save the file. This happens on every file I open, regardless of the source or type of PDF. It also happens when I open those files in Adobe Acrobat Pro, version 9. This has only started relatively recently. I didn't pay much attention at first, because I had other things on my mind, but now it is starting to concern me.
This reminds me of (way back in the day) when there were Word viruses going around which tried to install themselves in every Word document you opened.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, or how I can get it to stop?

This phenomenon can happen with PDF files that have errors in them.  Adobe Reader or Acrobat may be able to fix these errors, but if you close the application, it will ask to save the corrected file.  If you save it once, that should no longer occur when you open it again.
This is just one explanation, but it doesn't explain why that happens with every PDF you have.
Test: does it also happen with a PDF that is not supposed to contain any errors: http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/adobe_reader_reference.pdf ?

  • Adobe Reader Error Code 1310. Error writing to file: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)...

I have been forced to Sumatra by some error in the system.  When I download Adobe Reader 10, during setup, it stops and produces an error window that says 'Error 131. Error writing to file:  C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Adobe\Reader10.0\Esl\Aiodlite.dll. Verify you have access to that directory'...Retry? Cancel? Retry. Then continues then stops at 'Error 1310. Error writing to file.....Reader10.0\CoolType.dll. Verify that you.... then Retry again and it finishes. Then all Icons on my desktop become Adobe Icons. When I click on the 'Adobe reader 10.0 Icon it says "Adobe Reader could not open 'AcroRd32.exe' because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged (for example , it was sent as an email attachment was not correctly decoded)." I have been through this many times with Internet Explorer and Safari with only minor differences as Safari doesn't give me the difficulties with the setup but does have the same effect. I have tried to go back to older versions of Adobe Reader..9.0 and 9.3 to the same end. The only thing I can think of is that I removed Zinio Reader 4, that was necessary for the online magazines that I get from Mother Earth News and others, but thought I was having difficulty due to it being the only recent addition to my PC. I think somehow it may have taken something with it. Anyway I'm an older not so computer literate entreprenuer that has been forced to this and man do I need help.
