Can AlphaComposite merge colors as lights, not pigments?

There ware two ways to composite colors in overlapping regions:
@: additively, as lights -- the more colors are added, the brighter the result
@: subtractively, as paints -- the more colors are added, the darker the result
In additive composition, red and green make yellow, and red, green, and blue together make white.
AlphaComposite, however, only seems to support subtractive composition.
Is there an easy efficient way to get additive composition? Or do I have to build the image pixel by pixel in a pixel array (very inefficient)?

Are you wanting a total alpha of greater than 1? If not, I'm confused.

Unfortunately no, in order to do this: SMALL ADJUSTMENTS TO BE DONE IN THE SECOND PART (such as changing the lenth or type of a transition- these are changes that are hard to predict before i see all parts of the movie one after the other)
You'll have to work back and forth between the Part 2 original project before it gets exported. iMovie doesn't let you combine projects together in an editable, mix and match kind of way. That's one reason it's so inexpensive as compared to a program like Final Cut Pro X which has some ability to combine projects in an editable format. But it's expensive and has a steep learning curve, most likely not an option for many. So it's an unfortunate limit you have bumped up against.

No, not at the same time. You can use two different Apple ID/iTunes accounts on one iPad, but it is not advisable since you can lock yourself out of one of the ID's for 90 days if you download previously purchased content using the second ID.

From what I have read here it is not possible to downgrade - I wish it was!!!
Some replies say that people should have researched what iOS7 would look like before upgrading but to be honest I just did not believe that it could be as bad as it turned out to be.
I have sent feedback to Apple here and would encourage you to do the same - they need to know how difficult it is now the visual contrasts are so poor:

If you go to Settings -> General -> "Accessibility" it helps a little to do this:
Larger type: ON
Bold text: ON
Increase Contrast: ON
I found that the "Invert Colors" option did not help as it made many controls even more difficult to see!
I have never had to use the Accessibility settings before - the design of iOS7 is a wonderful if unwelcome illustration of the Social Model of Disability in action! Apple used to excel at accessible design. The difference between iOS7 and all previous versions illustrates perfectly that bad design is disabling!

No you can change your wallpaper to make the font stand out more on your homepages and folders or you can adjustr the font size, bold and contrast here:
Settings > General > Accessibility
NOTE: Turning Bold text on will force your phone to reboot.

You can't merge Apple IDs.
And you also can't change the name of an iTS Apple ID to another one that ends in a me.com.

Sorry the plug-ins aren't working for you right now.
You might try reinstalling them and seeing if that helps, otherwise I'd go check with Google to get the working versions that work with CS5.

I imported a CD that I had burned previously with the 2 tracks of sound effects that I had downloaded from the internet (MP3 files), but I did not see an option to join the tracks when I imported the CD. In the upper right corner there were three buttons: Options, CD Info, and Import CD. When I click on Options, the drop-down menu has two choices: "Get Track Names" and "Submit CD Track Names". I have exactly the same problem on a 4S on iOS 8. Have tried uninstalling, deleting FMF from backup, resetting phone and restoring from backup, but the problem remains. Sometimes the icon appears on a backup Home screen in iTunes, but it never appears on the phone itself. The app is accessible by going to the store, purchases and opening it from there. The app appears to have been running the whole time, but becomes invisible anytime I return to the home screen.

That's probably a broken display profile. The conversion from Library's Adobe RGB is different than the conversion from Develop's linear ProPhoto, so if there's a problem with the display profile it can show up this way.
Recalibrate, or if you don't have a calibrator use sRGB. If your monitor is a wide gamut model use Adobe RGB.
Assuming Windows, change it in Control Panel > Color Management > Devices, and relaunch Lightroom so that it can pick up the new profile at startup:

It seems that you have to choose one or the other, keep iMAcc addresses or iPhone.

Indeed you can merge the address book using iCloud. You can find the info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998. I am not sure if you can de-duplicate though.

You can right click the iPhones in iTunes and choose to Reset the iTunes sync alerts, then choose to not merge contacts on the next sync or just sync the contacts to seperate iCloud accounts.
