Can an internet explorer tab be added as in the desktop pc firefox
i am planning on a motorola atrix==i have a pc application (program) which will only function with internet explorer 8 or lower. can i get an internet explorer add on like the one i have on my pcs to access the particular section of the website?
No. The desktop extension relies on the presence of IE on the desktop computer to display the page as IE does.
There is a small chance that the page claims IE only when that is not true, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/phony/ can allow you to try to access the website.

Internet Explorer crashes when trying to install the download of Firefox
I have a desktop that only has IE as a browser. Have tried, many times, to install Firefox (both 3.6 and 4) And repeatedly get an error and IE crashes. Says the Firefox file is corrupt? Does anyone have any help they can give me on this?

Go to Solution.IE11 still has some known issues. I reverted mine to IE10 and have its running ok.

FireFox automatically upgraded today. When I try to launche it, it only loads about half the page. (I use Google as my home page) It just gets stuck there. I try to close out the page and I get "this program is not responding". I can launche Internet Explorer with no problem, (I much prefer using FF, but if I can't get into it...) so it has to be something with FireFox. FF freezes, so I end up having to shut of my computer AT the computer, because it won't shut off at the desktop monitor. Windows asks me to send a report and I have. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but my Norton antivirus prevented a plugin from happening...I don't really understand it all...

I keep getting "Unable to connect" for my firefox. It was working yesterday and I turned my computer off. I can get to the web using internet explorer 9. I don't know why my firefox is not working. Everything else is working.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I cannpt play BBCiPlayer, C4 on Demand, etc through Firefox, but I can on Internet Explorer
Mostly I use BBC iPlayer, but sometimes I go to C4 on Demand or other similar sites. For about two weeks now, I select a programme on any of the BBC tv channels and a caption comes up "This content does not seem to be working, try again later". The same happens on other demand sites. BBC actually has more than one method of streaming audio, and in the UK video, are you in the UK (including for BBC purposes IOM & Channel Isles).
I am guessing you are using the Flash Player streams, note if you do that FlashPlayer uses different plugins for Firefox and Internet explorer.
Test BOTH browsers on the adobe site using

I have the system "windows 8.1". When I try to install Photoshop Elements 9 I became the error Message; Photoshop can't be install, I need the Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. The setup will be closed.
There is a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1. To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10)

I am working in Ancestry.com. If I am in Internet Explorer, I can copy a picture & then paste it in my pictures, on my computer. If I am using Firefox, I don't understand which things to do to copy & then paste a picture, like I can in Internet Explorer. I prefer to use Firefox, but need to be able to use this copy & paste feature, often. I just downloaded Firefox, & started using it, again, yesterday. I just got a new computer in June.
When you run out of keyboard short cuts, enter the addtional names in the name field in the keyword editor. That will start a new Keyword Collection. You can apply the addtional keywords to multiple cllips on the event browser. Or you can drag the clips into the Collection in the Event Library.
