Your question has nothing to do with malware.
You must be a windows user to automatically believe all problems are caused by a virus.

  • Can the iPhone get a virus from a link in an email?

While trying to delete a suspicious email, my phone accidentally opened the email and clicked the link. Could I get a virus from this? Thanks!

Not unless it's been jailbroken. If you supplied any personal information to the site you accidentally went to, consider it to be compromised.

Like the " play online with a random" type of game

    Unless you jailbreak it, no.

  • Can my iPhone spread a virus to my Internet?

I've recently purchased a phone from Ebay and they did not give me the passcode to the phone and he seemed kinda suspicous. So I restored and wiped the phone using iTunes on my computer. Since I connected the USB to the iPhone would it be possible for me to get a virus on my computer and spread through my WiFi. The phone was locked at all times and I not sure if the iPhone was Jail Broken or not. Unless you can tell after resetting it, after resetting it, i do not see cydia so does it mean it's not jailbroken because I heard if you have a Jail Broken phone it's possible to get a virus. It's a iPhone 4.
    Thanks in advance!

The thing is that I do not know if the phone was jailbroken in the first place. Is there a way to find out after I resetted the phone? If I reset the phone will the Jail Break still be there?

  • Can the iPad get a virus using a public WiFi?

If I went to a public WiFi spot (airport, hotels, McDonalds, etc.) can my iPad get hit with a virus being that it's not protected with an antivirus?

No, it cannot. The iPad is a closed system and you cannot download the types of things that would normally infect a windows computer.

  • TS3274 Can an iPad get a virus or Trojan infection?

If it is jailbroken then yes.

  • Can my iphone get twitter-hack based malware? can it spread to/from my macbook pro

So I fell for one of those hack-generated twitter DMs - sent form my older sister's account to mine. Openned it several times (requested I log into twitter via webpage when I was in the app). Found out today her account was hacked. I also openned it on my macbook pro (running Snow Leopard). My questions are this...
    1. Can I get malware on my iPhone 5?
    2. Should I just wipe it and then re-sync? Everything is backed up to iCloud.
    3. Could I have gotten the malware on my Macbook?
    4. If I plug my iphone into the Macbook could it translate from one to the other?
Neither device is "jailbroken".  And I'm changing my passwords as we speak. Or will be again if need be.

    1. Not unless it's jailbroken.
    2. See below.
    3. No.
    4. No.
If you didn't log into Twitter from that page, everything's secure. If you did, after changing your password, delete any DMs or tweets it might have sent.

  • Can an Iphone have a virus?

What is the problem when a new Iphone(replacement for a blacked out 4g I phone) begins to act weird?  The phone is placing a period after every word, types words it wants to type, not what I type, and all I have typed suddenly begins to disappear. I do not want to start over again. I have not recovered all I have in the Icloud from the last phone, though I back up everything every day. I am ready to get a throw away phone.  please help!

    Did you actually Restore it?
    Did it finish Restoring?
Try putting the iPod into Disk mode.

  • HT4061 I opened a link from a spam e.mail. will it effect my iPad? can my iPad get viruses

I opened a link from an e.mail that turned out to be a spam, will it effect my iPad, can my iPad get a virus?

Yes. As long as you practice safe internetting. If you click on a phishing mail and enter your info into a bad site, your info is just as compromised as if you entered it on a computer. You can still be phished on an ipad. It will give you protection from viruses (they literally can't run) but your data is only as safe as your actions.

  • If i have music from limewire can i get a virus on my iphone

can music from limewire give my iphone a virus

Limewire was discontinued and shut down about a year ago and as a result of this, most of the music and files you find in the program are corrupt or virus-laden. Your computer may be affected, but your iPhone will not get a virus from a malicious music file because the mailicious code was not designed to be harmful to iOS, only to Windows.

  • Can an iPhone 5 get a virus?

I'm not familiar with how to use this message board but I'm worried if I might have a virus on my phone. Is it possible to get a virus on an iPhone (5)? If so how can I remove or check for it?

No worries, it's a very common scam. Just ignore it.
Be wary of "phishing" attempts. They are very common also, and try to deceive you into revealing personal information:
    Identifying fraudulent "phishing" email
...but a virus should be the least of your concerns.

No. You must restore it to factory settings, without restoring the backup. There's no other way to clear your phone.
If this seems unpleasant to you, keep in mind that 1) the prolonged effects of having malware on your phone would be far worse, and 2) you brought this on yourself by engaging in software piracy.

Have you ever heard the old saying.. if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is?
It's sites such as this where you can inadvertently pick up malware or worse, a virus.
Only purchase Apple products from an Apple store, or the Apple online store, or an Apple certified reseller.

  • My iphone got a virus can you help me please???

it started like a small gray dot 2 days ago on the top of the battery logo on the home screen, the it started to grow it became longer and longer every day. When it reaches the other side of the screen it will go down to make another row of white line. Now it completely blocked my wifi signal and the battery logo.even if restart my iphone it is still there on the boot screen.I upgraded it on the latest version but it is still there i cant remove it please help me it keeps on growing on the screen of my iphone.

Make no mistake, whatever is going on with your iPhone, the one thing you can rule out with one-hundred percent certainty is a virus. Your'e dealing with a product made by Apple and running a slightly different version of it's desktop/laptop operating system Mac OS X. You will never get a virus once you are a Mac. Isn't that liberating?!
By the pictures it's a hardware problem with the screen or the screen's video inverter.
Good luck, hope your'e able to get it fixed.
