Can an MDL export from OWB 9.0.3.37 be imported into OWB10g?

Folks, instead of upgrading our existing development repository, we are planning to install a brand new OWB. Can we import the MDL export from OWB 9.0.3.37 into OWB 10gR1? Are there any gotchas? Any help is appreciated.

I`ve tried these steps, but can`t because of the following error message:
CNV00002-0038(ERROR): El idioma de origen English con identificador ISO en no están en la lista de idiomas soportados.
Any suggestion?.

This will not work.. Ypu cannot use FTP to 'PULL' a document into the database. (Yes I know there's a placeholder for an FTPURITYPE() but it was never implemented).
However you can use an FTP client to PUSH content into the XML DB repository. If the content is schema based XML associated with a known (registered) XML schema the content of the file will automatically be stored in the default table associated with the root element of the file. If the content is not associated with an known XML schema you can then use xdburitype to read the resource that was created when the document was uploaded into the repository

It doesn't seem to work on mine, when I go to command: the export button is in grey, whereas all the others (import; customize) are black and can be actionned. Is this a restriction in the trial version or is there a way to activate export?

Yes, you can! But you need Captivate 3 installed in your computer.
First, open the project in Captivate 4. Copy all the slides. Open a new project in Captivate 3. Paste all the slides.
I have done this with Captivate 4 to Captivate 2, so I am sure it should work with 3.

You access them in the event they are in or under Photos or from an album if they are in an album - simply drag them to the book project in the source pane on the left

Hi Mani,
Typically you'd define a collection in OWB, and then select Project Menu -> Metadata Export -> Bridge.
Choose Oracle Discoverer as To: item and give it a description.
Next you select one or more collections to export and possibly some more transfer parameters and you're good to go.

Thanks for your post. This error will not come if you try to change the user account or create a new user account. Once the Project is finished, uninstall all the adobe application and use cleaner tool and re-install them once again.

Can Play iTunes Library from PC on MacBook Air but cannot import, problem with access rights?

I can play Itunes library from Windows Vista PC on my MacBook Air using homeshare but cannot import the library . Error message is problem with access rights. Latest OS and Itunes installed. I have MTS files imported from a Canon HD cam. They import into I movie and I see them in the Finder folders and they preview fine. I have a new project and some of the clips are freezing and some audio is now gone? Do i need a file converter and convert

I have MTS video files that import from a Canon Vixia HF S20 HD camera. I imported into I Movie. They converted into MOV files and I see them in the movies folder in finder. They view fine and run through the events folder in Finder. In I Movie, I created a new project and used a "Theme". The project worked fine at first but then some clips started to freeze and some lost audio. The effected clips are the same in the project library and in the event library, meaning they are froze in both places. As I said when i view through finder the MOV files preview and work fine. Is this inherent to MTS files using in I movie. SHould i consider using a file converter to convert to MOV files prior to importing into I movie.
I found on Apple support site info that states the MTS files can only be imported through the camera. I am developing my back up procedures and now I am faced with backing up in the original MTS files but not being able to reload if necessary into I movie. Any suggestions?

I'd like to add that after I import these clips without thumbnails, iMovie does give me an error and say that they could not be imported. No explanation as to why, though. Again, they play fine on my camera.

MDL file is nothing but a zipped file .
Use winzip( or some thing else) to extarct MDL file into some location.
You will find 2 file over there . 1 mdx file and 1 xml file.

Problem exporting from OWB to Discoverer 4

I have a business area in OWB with 3 dimensions and one fact table. When I try to export this business area to Discoverer 4, the dimensions appear duplicated, eg "PRODUCTS" and "PRODUCTS: Default", and the fact table becomes redundantly linked to all the duplicated dimension facts...
What can be the problem?

I was a bit confused when I saw this at first too, but I think it is intended to work this way. When you look at the two copies of the dimensions in Discoverer Administrator you will se that only one of them is vissible to the end-user. Furthermore, the data type of any numeric columns in the original dimension will have been changed to character in the version the user sees. This is done in order to avoid problems when creating workbooks, because Discoverer does not like numeric "group" columns. An example of this is the time dimension where the "actual year" column is numeric by default in OWB. If you try to use this column in a workbook Discoverer will try to sum it and use it as a detail data point, rather than a group.

Why can't I export from iMovie?

I don't understand. I spent ages making this video ( it's about 25 seconds long) and then I go to save it to camera roll,
or Facebook or YouTube or anywhere and it exports it really quickly at the beginning and them stops. I even left it to do it
all night and it had just stopped. I would really like help.
