If you allow, this is what I would suggest -
1) First focus on the concepts. Understand how MDM goes beyond the traditional database concepts of master child relationship and uses concepts of Hierarchy Table, Taxonomy/Attributes tables, Qualified Lookups etc. RKT material exercises are good enough for quick ramp-up on these concepts. Once you have got the concepts, you will be able to easily create a XLS file yourself. Also the fun is not in importing an XLS file that has been created specifically for import into MDM. Any logical data structure in xls should be importable into MDM by using the functionality of MDM Import Manager
2) In the RKT material you should find an exercise called Case Study. I am emailing a Spreadsheet that created to use with this exercise. It is basically a Products Main Table, with Manufacturers coming from a Hierarchy Look table and Categories and Attributes table to store product classifications.

for importing material,every importer has to file bill of entry in customs.
first vendor send some documents like certificate of origine , bill of lading, packing list etc to importer.
on the basis of those documents,importer makes supporting documents like duty calculation sheet, GATE declaration form,CHA declaration form,insurance certificate.
CHA (custom house agent ) file the bill of entry on behalf of impoter in customs.
custom verify it.
after duty payment, CHA can clears the consignment from custom.
there are two typs of BOE.
1 Home consumption BOE
2 Warehousing BOE
in 1st type of BOE , payment of duty is done at the time of custom clearance
and in 2nd type of BOE, importer can put material in warehouse without payment of duty. at time of using those material from warehouse,importer has to file out bond warehouse BOE and pay the all duties.

Sorry I didn't find anything that is Kanban specific. Trying looking under flow manufacturing and also came up empty in R12. There was a R12 Inventory based class where Kanban resides in the user guide but it didn't look like it is going to be worth your while.
The user guide is actually pretty straight forward and a whole bunch less inexpensive...

Can any body give the solution for my queries?
A two level PO Release workflow is required to support the Import PO Release Approval business process. Forecast and Replenishment will transfer orders to SAP ERP. Purchase orders will be blocked upon creation based on the document type. If the document type is ZIMP=Import Purchase order, the order will have to go through a release process described below:
When a PO is created it will be automatically blocked based on the document type ZIMP and a workflow will be triggered to the stock planner responsible to work on the containerization of the order. The stock planner will receive an email notification and an SAP workitem to generate and send a report to the vendor to get the order containarized. Once the report has been sent the purchase order will be relased with code 01:In containerization.
01/29/07: The containerization report needs to include: PO number (EKPO_EBELN), Article number (EKPO_MATNR), Vendor part number (EKPO_MFRPN), Description (MKAT_MAKTX), Quantity in Base unit of Measure (EKPO_MENGE) and Quantity in BuyPack unit of measure and Net price (EKPO_BPRME). This report should be generated out of SAP as part of the release code 01 of the workflow. The report will be downloaded to excel by the approver.
After the order is released with code 01, a second workitem will be triggered to the stock planner who will use SAP to execute the workitem. The work item will allow the modification of the PO (if needed) with the containerized quantities and the release of it using release code 02:Release. The second work item for release code 02 does not need to trigger the report.
Substitutions: If there is a substitute for the approver (i.e.an admin), that person will be included on the list of approvers.
Emergency approvals: A position not in the approver hierarchy (i.e., Finance Marketing Manager) can approve the request outside the loop of the approval workflow.

Hi Experts can any body help in Batch management

Hi friends i created a batch and it is working fine... now the issue comes in sales order...
i have one product with two batches say batch no 150 units and batch no 2100 units customer places an order for 30 units and i issued 30 units with batch no 1 and saved the sales order. now the remaining balance of batch no 1 is 20 units and batch no 2 100 units. fine....
now got second order for 50 units system is issuing from batch no 2 where the balance is 100. from that batch system is allocating 50 units .. if this is the case then what happens to the remaining balance in batch no 1 how can i utilize the remaining balance in batch no 1 can any body suggest me the customization steps... pls...... advance thanks

This indicator allows the system to carryout batch determination automatically for a line item in the sales order.
