Is the TV at minimum a 1080p with an HDMI port?
What is your Machine ID? DO NOT give us your serial number. We just need the x and y values of the Machine ID in your system profiler as given in this format:
MacBook Pro x,y
This will tell us what display cables can connect to your TV.

OSX treats the reformatted drive as a different one; it's the same as replacing it, and the old one is no longer connected.
See #E3 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting to see and restore from the "old" drive.

Try holding down the trackpad button while starting up the PowerBook. Holding down mouse button during start up ejects the disc in the optical drive, so I'm guessing it would work the same with the button the the trackpad.

I think you downloaded BES10, try downloading the bbm app instead.

try to press the sleep/wake button + home button at the same time and hold them until the apple logo appears. that should help.

It's a 15" 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo MBP running on Leopard 10.5.8, bought spring 2008.
About a couple of weeks ago, my screen started randomly switching to a strange blue / purple tint along with a bad resolution (can't really read text on screen) and flashing horizontal lines in the background. It started worrying me given I'm working with it all the time and am hoping for this machine to hold on for a few more months until I can buy a new one.
It would happen randomly for a few minutes at a time and then revert back to normal screen.
I found a lot of references to a similar problem in a few threads such as this one:

My screen has gone strange again now and isn't reverting back to normal so far even after I tried restarting it. It was normal for 2 min only ans then back to bluish. I tried all the display fixes indicated in the threads but none of them work and I'm not exactly sure my issue is the same given I can still see the tint and horizontal lines in particular if the screen saver goes on, and the resolution on screenshots I've seen of other people having blue tint screen issues seems to be normal (as in text is legible).
Any ideas on how to fix it? Do you think it might be more of a software or hardware problem..? Would it help if I try upgrading my Mac OS?

Thanks a lot for the reply, I was worried would say that outright. Screen just only reverted back to normal after a couple of hours. As you said probably best to bring it in for diagnosis, I'll try to do that asap though of course I'm nowhere neaar any AASP at the moment.

I have a blank screen. The power is on and I can hear the computer running but the power button and the apple icon are not lit up. I've tried holding down shift+control+option and pressing the power button at once. I've held it down for ten seconds and released at once. I then pressed the power button but it's not turing the screen on. My Macbook Pro is newer than 2009. Thanks for any help you can give.

I don't have a 4G device, but I thought you can use mobile safari, the safari on the iPad, on 4G.
You could also try looking for a third party app. The official facebook app has been non to barely functional for years. I use mobile safari on my iPad although I do have a couple of apps I've used upon occasion.

It is assumed at this point that the report script you use in essbase does NOT contain the greater than signs that the forum inserts.
As I suggested on your other thread and Glenn has suggested here, the first step is to prototype an excel retrieval and then convert that retrieval into a report script.
What is not well known by many is that you can use a report script inside excel too. All you need to do is go to the mode tab within essbase options and select free form instead of advanced interpretation (you'll want to revert it back for normal use). In free form mode, the report script can be used in a spreadsheet.
Of course, the whole idea is to create the normal template that retrieves data, and then create the report script equivalent. So, the idea of using free form is just a way to help verify that you don't have an issue with the report engine itself.
