Can any one fix this problem
Hello i have recently have asked here before about a burning problem that I have encountered. I was told that i needed enough detail for someone to help me. So I will write what the problem is in a 45 page essay. Ok maybe not that detailed. Well first of all i downloaded three videos from my jvc camcorder into imovies. BTW I have a brand new macbook like a month old so yeah everything is new. Well i edited the movies and wanted to burn them in idvd. i dont have a superdrive but bought an external dvd burner from sony. I then made a slideshow of pics in imovie. So i have a total of three medias that i want to burn in idvd. The first video which is a ceremony is 34:37. The second video is a reception is 35:26 long. The third video which is a slideshow is only 4:36. Now twice i have burn a dvd successfully. When this has happen its only the ceremony video and the slideshow that get burned. using an old wedding silver theme. So i tried many times with the three videos there and it gives me the multiplexing error. So at least I know it burns dvds its just i cant get all three of them in there. I am new to mac world and i know for sure though that i didnt do anything different from the two videos.
Before you start the burn process, turn off all energy savers, screen savers, drive sleep, etc.
Any of these will interfere/halt the rendering/MUXing process. Generally you end up with a coaster instead of a playable DVD.
how much free HD space do you have?
On my system, 1-1/2 hours video needs approx 35gb space to render.
Below that, if fails or generates errors.
Older versions of iDVD and iMovie were not happy with 8bit audio.
Had to redo the import in 16 bit. Don't know if 08 fixed that issue.
Might want to create slideshow as a slideshow inside of iDVD instead of as a movie in iMovie.

nas on airport extreme not recognized by time machine. same nas was previously used as time machine backup on different airport extreme. are there any configuration files that i can delete to fix this problem ?
Time Machine has been working just fine, but in the last week or two it has given up the ghost. I reset the connections to the drive, and it will basically save a few bytes of data and then hang.
Although Apple originally announced, prior to the release of the first 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Stations (AEBSn), that it would support Time Machine backups to AirPort Disks, they removed that option before they did finally release the base station for sale.
Since then, Apple has posted (as you have noted) that they DO NOT support Time Machine backups to AirPort Disks. As far as I know, they have not changed from that position and those who do these backups find that they become corrupted over time. Sorry, but it sounds like you just confirmed that for yourself.

No. Again, this feature has never been supported by Apple for every generation of AEBSn released.

If your data backups are critical to you, then you will want to use a different solution for your Time Machine backup destination drive strategy. I would suggest that you connect your WD My Book directly to your Mac in the mean time.
Your other options would be to either use a Time Capsule (which interestingly does support TM backups to AirPort Disks) or a non-Apple solution like the Drobo FS or HP MediaSmart server. -
Regarding iMessage, when i want to send text to a person in my contacts app, i've been getting a message saying the number has not been registered with iMessage. How can one fix this problem? It works on the iPhone.
It takes two to tango, maybe it's your recipient that has weak Internet/Cellular connections.

When I try to import an excell file to numbers on my ipad i get an error message that says it cannot import the file or open the file because it contains cells outside the boundry of numbers. Any one have this problem. it is only one file that i have this problem with and it is an important one. I have no problem working on it with my mac and my excell for mac.
Number is limited to about 65000 cells so if your Excell spreadsheet is too large Numbers will choke. This is definitely one of the weaknesses. If you don't have Excel you can use LibreOffice which is free.

my apple tv is disconnected from the wifi intermittently, the problem is not the wifi as it only happens to the apple tv. that I can do to fix this problem.-
That doesn't rule out a network issue, as it can impact devices differently. Intermittent issues are most often related to wifi issues. Try connecting via ethernet. Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

My iPod Touch is stuck. I can't get it to power off. All that comes up on the screen is the Apple Logo. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.

So i downloaded windows 7 onto my 2011 macbook pro and everything was working fine until i tried to open a program and it said i didn't have enough free disk space to run this program. i quit all of the problems i could on task manager and now when i go back to my homescreen i have nothing there,no start screen, no programs on my desktop all i can see is my screen saver is there anything i can do to fix this problem of do i need to reinstall windows?
I don't think your use of " I downloaded Windows 7 " is being accurate.
You have to burn the ISO and INSTALL Windows, create a partition and all the rest.
And Windows 7 should have 40-60GB at least.
How large a partition did you create when you set it up? how much is free now?
F8 - safe boot to get in and you don't just need to quit but remove cache, temp, programs and more -
Go To %TEMP% and delete everything
uninstall what you don't need
Download and run CCleaner 3.20
Go to Disk C Properties : Disk Cleanup: System Files and remove everything there
You can free up 4GB probably or more just from that.
You should have 10GB or more free space for Windows

Paragon Camptune $20 can backup Windows image and resize HFS and NTFS partitions
You should have backup or more of Mac HFS already - TimeMachine and say bootable drive partition on external drive.
Real low space can prevent login to your account on startup. -

The problem am facing here is that when i minimize the frame and maximize , my old lines are getting disappared.
For avoiding that i am storing the old coordinates and
try to redraw , when maximize.
but the lines are coming for flash of second and disappearing once again ?

thanks allYou are probably seeing both a window un-iconify AND a window resize.
Your best bet is to create an off screen buffer update that and then copy it to the screen. Just as you use the appropriate Java2d gc.createCompatibleImage(...) you should be ok. You will never have to worry about loosing your on-screen image again. Using an off screen buffer would also simplify your code as your paint would not have to be so crazy with all of those if(..) else if ... statements. -

Can you please fix the problem!I have downloaded the latest build 9879, I format my hard disk and reinstall the OS with the latest build.
Right after installation, I did a check via the preview build just to make sure I did not get the same error again.
And guess what, I still get the same error again.This is impossible. It should not have that same error again while checking for a new preview build updates!

So what could be the problem then?
Your screen shot shows you are running the latest build, 9879, therefore you will not see a new preview build when checking. I agree that the wording in the message could be better however. -
