Can Anyconnect 2.5 call Dial Up Networking

Is there any way that anyconnect 2.5 can call up a dial up networking connection prior to logon?
I know that Secure Mobility 3.0 can do this but not with WWAN (windows 7 gprs) connections.
We have users on anyconnect 2.5 that are using SBL but their modems are not connecting first.
If anyone knows a workaround please let me know

  • N8 - Can't make a call on 3G

I can't make a call when the network icon (top left) says: 3G.
I can be called when it's on 3G though... Also I can make calls when it says nothing or 3.5G.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It could just be a temporary network issue.
In the UK the issue plagued t-mobile for months in different area's of the country.  3.5g and GSM would work properly, 3G would not. Some days it was fine, others it was not and some places had the issue for weeks.
Is your phone unlocked? If so can you try a sim from another network to see if it has the same issue?  This will help to see if it's phone or network.

  • Can't make or recieve calls (report a network conn...

    Hi All,
I purchased the N9 64Gb some months ago - and updated it with the latest 1.3 release.
After some usage - I started to notice that sometimes (once a day or once every second day) - the N9 ends up in some sort of mobile network deadlock.
Error description: When in deadlock - when trying to make calls - phone reports network error. When trying to browse the internet - no connection. If i call to my N9 - from another phone, the call do not go through.
Extra info: The N9 displays one bar of network connection, the icon for 3G is sometimes on.
If im connected to WLAN - I can browse the internet, else not.
If I reboot the N9, it will operate as normal again.
There is no warning or indication shown before it goes into the deadlock - of not being connected to the mobile network.
Idea's from an old member of the Low Level Yoda team in Copenhagen: The config flag that invoke a cell reconnect routine -  after the phone have been in a network situation of no 3G or 2G basestation connect options, could have been "forgotten" to be raised in one of the the states of the "going out of coverage of a basestation" routine.
I hope that there is a solution - since the error leaves the end user (me) in an unfortunate situation of beliving to be online while its not the case. Its not acceptable at my workplace - that im often (randomly) not reachable by mobile phone.
    Best Regards
    Lars Nielsen

    A) Which network operator do you use, in which country?
    B) Did you try the GSM-only mode?
    C) Did you try a new SIM?

    Hi chelsinator,
You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.
    Cheers,

  • We have a 5s active on our account.  After turning on a previously active 4s (it had the same number)  The 5s can no longer place call and when you call it from another phone the 4s rings, but will not pick up.  Texting over the cell networks works fine.

    hens0861,
Hmm, let's ensure this is working as it should be! So what phone should be active on your account? Did you switch the devices online or how to did you activate the 5s? Please share details.

    Hey Rache0105,
Some of the steps you've already done, but I would run through the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant for call issues. You can find it here:

To be honest not being able to send or recieve messages and data is a carrier issue, not a phone issue since u said that your calls are working, if i were you my first course of action would be to get a new sim card from virgin mobile, or to restore the device as new one more time, if you restore the device as new AND get a new sim card from your carrier and those features still dont work, i would take the device to an apple store

Note carefully please that this feature requires your service plan to include the capability...not all service plan levels include it, and not all carriers offer it. Further, sometimes additional software for your computer must be obtained from the carrier. But, any and all carrier-specific questions about this must be addressed to the carrier...here, we can only give you the generic information...your carrier must provide you with any specific information required.

Having looked at your spreadsheet I see you're failing H323 transfers back to your ISDN system, but only under certain circumstances. Quite why, I'm not sure, possibly because you haven't codec defined on your H323 dial peers. or it could be something else
I think you may be able to work around the problem by adding
" supplementary-service h450.12 " under voice service voip on your CME router as a quick fix.

  • Dial-up networking implementation

    Hi,
I'm currently developing an application that requires dial-up to a RAS server. Client hardware requirements for this app are windows box with either USB/Serial modem or ISDN connection.
Client app will be driven with Swing GUI but I need help on the dial-up part.
    My questions are:
    1. What kind of technology JAVA provides in regards to dial-up programming? I've considered commAPI but apparently this only work for serial modems only.
    2. Can I use JTAPI to setup the dial-up and connection with either modem or ISDN?
    3. Or can I use JNI to call windows native dial-up control from my application? If so how?
Glad if someone out there can at answer part of my queries?
    Thanks

You can use the JDUN API (Java Dial-up Networking For Windows) that can be found at http://www.JavaAPIs.com. It supports enumerating RAS dial-up entry names, dialing entries, and hanging up entries.

  • UCCE 10.5: MR PG can not connect to SIP Dialer

    Hello,
I have a strange problem with a SIP Dialer installation.
The MR PIM can not connect to SIP Dialer with the following error:

I configured two duplexed SIP Dialers without Port Map. In baDialer logs I can see it can connect to Campaign Manager, CTI Servers, but it received "Port Map With ZERO Ports". Judging by what is written in SRND, this behavior is normal.

I double checked the IP Addresses, MR port(38001), network interfaces order in Windows and everything looks ok.
A possible problem could be that I see no application listening on port 38001 with netstat -na.
Does anyone have any idea what else should I check?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Cristian

Also, here is an output of the Diag Portico when your MR is up and ports are registered and everything is healthy

  • I can`t make phone calls

I can`t make phone calls, when I dial, my phone shows "dialing" and then "call ended" , I have tried with different numbers and it is always the same, I did already a soft reset and it doesn`t work.
    What could it be???

Does this happen everywhere or only where there is a questionable signal? Try roaming:
Start > Settings > Phone > Services > Roaming > "Roaming Networks Only"
If that works better, complain to Sprint about your signal.
If that also doesn't work, you might need to hard reset your phone. Make a good backup first.

I just noticed you have the unlocked Treo Pro. I don't know whether you have this option.

  • Can't make phone calls on my watch.

I can receive phone calls on my Apple watch but can't make outbound calls.  The call ends immediately - it never dials or connects.  Is anyone else having this issue?

Me again.  Just spent half an hour in the Apple Store.  It seems to be a network issue because when they ran a diagnostic it showed that all of the calls were being dropped by the network, not the device.  So it may be that my carrier is not ready to deal with the new technology.  Hopefully a carrier update will come soon.  It is early days yet.  Even the Apple Store employees did not have watches yet.  They were envious of mine!  And mine was the first "watch question" the guy at the Genius Bar had dealt with.
