Can anyone give me advice on this issue? I feel stuck!!!

I am very concerned about verion charging me a cancelation fee. In the fall of 2012, I contact them several times by phone to inquire about changing/canceling plans and reducing the monthly fee. I told several people (at verizon) that I did not want to extend my contract. Finally someone arrived at a plan that was better. I stay with them through the end of the year.
In the beginning of 2013 – I changed companies because of a better plan. I waited for my final bill and found a cancelation fee. I promptly called Verizon and asked them to help. Some one eventual issued a $50 credit but I don't uderstand how they can put me under a contrat when I clearly expressed a desire to not extend my contract and thye never notified me of the contract. I never signed anything or agreed to a contract.
I understand early cancelation fees after having sold Verizon and other cell service for years. I was very happy with Verizon service for many years. I
tried countless time to get the monthly cost down but never succeeded in getting anywhere close to other providers. I was only leaving because the cost was to high and I found another carrier that met my needs better.
I never asked for a contract, agreed to extending my contract year, or made aware of the extention(until I ported the number).  I do not understand how they can charge me an early termination fee. Any advice on how to deal with this would be helpeful.

I know how you feel...like you were scammed!  I can't answer your question but wish I could.  I feel the same way on a similar situation where I was told by two different Verizon customer support reps, at two different times, that I could activate a phone without a data package, and I gave the MEID number to the reps to be sure, and I even confirmed that when I activated the phone.  Of course that was wrong and now I'm stuck paying the $30/month data package.  I called several times after I realized I was receiving data and all I got were apologies for the misinformation and "that should not have happened".   So I am now patiently waiting until May 27th and I, too, am leaving after several years with Verizon.  I can get all six of my lines with another carrier for less that I am paying Verizon for five lines.  If I could even come close to the $$ amount I would probably stay with Verizon...but not now that I feel I was lied to and scammed!  So, my advice to you would be to call and speak to a supervisor (I know that's not easy!) and if that doesn't work then pull out the big guns and talk attorney!  In the big picture the bottom line is Verizon is not going to care or change for your account or my account, because they have so many customers and good cell service (not always good customer service though) but eventually if they keep treating people like this it will have a snowball effect and they will either change or lose.  Good luck to you!

    Based on what I can tell, you may have to go to the second hand market in order to get a MBP that will run a compatible OSX.

    Using iTunes 10.5.2.11 on a PC running 64 bit Windows 7
    First did a full back up of  iphone using iTunes
    Put iphone into Recovery Mode ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 ). Erases all user data and settings!
    Disconnected USB cable from iphone
    Powered off iphone by holding down Sleep/Off button until slider appeared, slid to off, waited until screen dark
    Pressed and kept holding Home button while plugging cable back into phone
    I still saw the graphic on the iphone that said to plug into iTunes, so I unplugged and re-plugged cable. (I may have released the Home button too soon)
    Recovery Mode alert came up in iTunes.
    Followed all iTunes prompts to restore phone - it downloaded and sucessfully installed iOS 5.0.1
    iphone did not appear in iTunes due to missing pairing file (that made me nervous)
    iphone was now at factory settings. I followed prompts on iphone screen to start reactivation process
    Eventually the iphone asked if I wanted to restore from a back-up (whew!)
    A window opened in iTunes and I was able to select my previous back-up file for the restore
    A full restore from back-up then occured
    I also allowed a carrier settings update to occur when prompted (not sure that happens in all cases)
    When the restore was done I had to re-enter some passwords, but everything was there
    iOS is now 5.0.1 (9A406). The whole process took about an hour.

    Buy the "AT&T" model iPad, not the Verizon one (which does not support SIM cards used most everywhere in the world).  The ATT model comes with a SIM card, but you can then get one from a UK provider.  Be sure it's a "microSIM" card, not the larger kind when back in the UK.

    Sir, Thank you very much for your prompt response.  I have already done this.  But the problem is still persisting.  Actually, I want to upgrade my WhattsApp application and as soon as I click the upgrade button in App Store, it asks for the password of previous apple i.d., which I don't have as I have bought this phone from somebody.  There is no option for log out or log in.  It there any other way out to upgrade the WhatsApp ????

    When transferring PO idocs from R/3 to the middleware, some idocs doesn't reach the destination due to one buyers address segment not getting populated.
    Since this segment contains the address where it needs to to sent is missing, the idocs does not reach the concerned place.
    But when the output is repeated, this segment gets filled up and idocs correctly reach the destination
    In the program this segment is populated on the following condition.
    The address number from the table T001W should match with the address number from the table ADRC..
    if sy-sucrc eq 0, the segment gets populated else it does not.
    But when the output is repeated in the PO, the sy-sucrc becomes zero again.
    I don't understand the connection between when the output is repeated and the above condition.
    How the above condition is getting successful when the output is repeated..
    Can anyone put some light on this issue.

    I have one customized field 'ZCOORNAME' in the DS 2LIS_05_Q0NOTIF. I have changed this field in Tcode- QM02 and checked the changes in TCODE - LBWQ (Extraction Queue) and I got the Changed entry but now when i am trigerring the V3 Job, these changes are not getting populated in RSA7 (Delta Queue).
    For standard field changes, it is capturing delta properly, the problem is with only customized fileds..Can anyone put some light on this issue ....

    he customer exit is hit before the entries are populated in extraction queue. Actually, when the transaction is done, the changes are written to database table and at the same time into the extraction queue. Just before going to extraction queue, the custom fields get populated in customer exit.

    Sorry, but there is no iTunes Store for Afghanistan and you are not allowed to use the iTunes Store of any other country, so unless you physically go to another country and have a valid payment method issued in that country (an Afghani credit card will not be accepted), you cannot purchase apps.

    I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
    (Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

  • Having problems with Verizon iPhone 5 using excessive data. Verizon will not help can anyone give me advice? Have family plan never went over 8gb of data in 6 years, now avg 14 a month and are not using anything different other than having iPhone 5.

    Switched to iPhone 5 on July 31st.  Since then our data usage has doubled.  Verizon will not help find out what the problem could be, they claim they are unaware of a problem.  I told them to look on the customer support page and many have complained about the problem.  Now on the apple site I see it may be an apple problem.  Some one needs to fix this.  Apple you want us to use your products, please do t make it cost us more money just to do what we did prior without problems.  Prior phones were iPhone 4 and we never had issues and never went over 8 gb's for 4 phones.  Now we are doing 14.  Can anyone tell me what is going on.  Getting ready to stop using cell phones all together.

    Well you could Restore it from your backup and see if that helps. If it doesn't Restore it as new and manually add things back until the problem starts again.
    I would also suggest trying a different SIM.
    Without iOS 7 there is no way to isolate what is using the data.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
