Can ANYONE help? Just trying to get a straight ans...

Hi guys, first time poster and hoping someone can help!
I am currently on Sky BB, but can only get 2.5Mb -- but I do keep that maxxed out a fair amount of the time!
Yesterday evening, 2 nice and genuine (well they certainly seemed it!) guys from BT knocked on the door, saying that we were going to be upgraded on our street to infinity by the 31st March 2011, and would I like to switch? AWESOME thinks me! and gets everything sorted...
Well I woke up this morning and thought...'better check', so I went onto the infinity website and checked for Milton Keynes -- due to be upgraded by March 31st - GREAT!, but phone line checker says 'no plans'
I have since rung BT FIVE times to try and get a straight answer from them, but I can't -- I have heard everything from you SHOULD be getting it right through to Def. not.
I only want to switch if I can get it, but if I can I do!!
Any ideas what I could do?

The date given is only an estimate and may be subject to change between now and the 31/03.

You could try Apple software sales at 1 800 MY APPLE and see if they still have original system discs for the eMac in question.
You would need to give them the model and serial No. of your eMac.
This is located behind the panel that opens the CD/DVD drive tray or on the drive's front panel when the drive door is open.
Be advised that if they have these discs , it will be a set that would have come, originally, with the eMac model.
The OS will not be up to date. I believe your model eMac came, originally, with OS X 10.4 or OS X 10.4.2 Tiger.
OS X10.4 Tiger is seven years old as of this year!
You could just spend the $129 dollars to buy OS X 10.5 Leopard retail discs.
Call the same number and ask of they have anymore OS X 10.5 discs still available.
There are no new iDevices that will sync and backup using 10.4 Tige any longer.
So, getting 10.5 maybe a better alternative for you.
Your eMac is fast enough to handle 10.5 Leopard with no, appreciable, issues.

FaceTime is builtin, there's no icon. Use your Contacts app and if the recipient has iPhone 4/4S, iPod Touch 4th G, iPad 2 or Mac, you can FaceTime them using Wi-Fi.

Can anyone help, how do I get sound?

In a nut shell, I am using my TV as a monitor for my Mac Mini. It works great and I've been using it like this for some time. My problem is... I'm having a hard time working out what I need to connect my computer to my TV so sound will come out of my TV speakers.
At the moment I have a cable coming out of my Mac to the TV so I get a picture. I can only assume a second wire is needed to carry the sound.
Currently I am using a normal computer speaker system (2 speakers and 1 subwoofer)... It's just a cheap set up, but works fine. But it makes no sense for me to have separate speakers when my TV has some built in.... can any one help?

using this cable, then I recommend purchasing
this cable for the audio. One end connects to
your Mac Mini's optical digital audio
output/headphone out port and other to your TV. I
believe this will work, but the type of Mac MIni and

I'm connecting it at the moment from the mac to the TV using something like this cable:-

There was a small adapter that came with the mac so it can be plugged into the mac and into the wire that I just showed you. When I was setting up my mac agers ago, I had a box full of extra wires that have accumulated over the years. I had the same idea of connecting one of those cables with 1 end yellow red blue and the other into the headphone socket when I found it in the box. But I'm shaw it didn't work. Maybe it was because it wasn't a mac one or it did actually work and it's just me being thick again. lol. If you guys are faily shaw that would work, then I'll be more than happy to go and buy one, but like I say, I'm pretty shaw it didn't work...

Since the new version of xocde did away with the /Developr folder, xcode through Dreamweaver no longer works. Does anyone have a solution? Even if it's just how to open up xcode as a standalone app and get the Dreamweaver project in there.
I just want to use xcode for the emulator portion of it.

I get this... but I can't test it... I keep getting "Cannot find main program" from the acm framework.
I don't think there's anything "wrong" with my code, except that maybe acm doesn't support packages, which would be a big stretch... Beats me why these pork chops (the acm authors, not the OP) think that taking something perfectly simple and making it complicated is an improvement on the "core" language... think about it... they've taken a simple main method, replaced it with something that involves some funkyassed command line parsing which evidently doesn't work (reliably), and complicates even the most basic program (like HelloWorld.java) by making it inherently multi-threaded.
Acm gets my vote for the "WTF of the Week" award.

iMessage (the blue bubble) will only come through via a data connection - cellular or wifi. With cellular data turned off, those messages will not come through until you have a wifi connection.
SMS (green bubble) should still come through, but you would need to verify this with your carrier in Canada.

This seems to be related to network connectivity or port being blocked on the firewall. verify the network connectivity first and then ports on the firewall. For ports you can use portquery tool which can be downloaded for free and can be installed on the server.
