Can anyone help me add my Tungsten T5 to iSync?

When I try to hotsync through the palm software, it freezes on the isync conduit.
When I try to add the Tungsten T5 to iSync, iSync doesn't see the device.
Any suggestions would be of great help.
I am running OS X 10.4.4 on a powerbook G4 17", isync Palm conduit 1.2, isync 1.5 and Palm desktop 4.2.1Revd.

If you are correct in profiling your configuration, you have serious problems and it's no wonder that your Tungsten won't synchronize. In fact, I don't think that your setup could be any more broken than it is!
If you are using Mac OS X 10.4.4, you should have iSync 2.1.1 installed. iSync 2 was installed when you updated to Mac OS X 10.4 originally. You should not have installed iSync 1.5 or the iSync Palm Conduit 1.2 - neither one are intended to work in a Tiger environment.
The first step is to absolutely determine what is actually installed - iSync 1.5 or earlier or iSync 2 or later. If it is iSync 1.5 or earlier, you will need to remove it using the iSync Uninstall utility. It's no longer available for download from Apple, so send me an electronic mail message and I'll reply with a copy.
You will then need to reinstall iSync 2 be extracting it - using Pacifist - from your original Mac OS X 10.4 Update or Install DVD. You'll find that application here:

There is no way to download iSync 2 or later from Apple. The iSync 2.1 package is an updater, not a full application installer. Do not install any version of the iSync Palm Conduit - the updated version is built into, and only available from, iSync 2 or later. It is installed automatically for you as one of several steps involved in configuring iSync 2 or later to synchronize with a Palm device.
In summary, you'll need to…
• verify which release of iSync is installed
• remove iSync 1.5 or earlier using the iSync Uninstall utility
• extract and install iSync 2 using Pacifist and your original Mac OS X 10.4 DVD
• update to iSync 2.1 using either the Software Update mechanism or the downloadable iSync 2.1 package
• update to iSync 2.1.1 by reapplying the Mac OS X 10.4.3 or 10.4.4* Update
Both the Mac OS X 10.4.3 Combo Update and the 10.4.4 Combo Update are configured to upgrade iSync 2 directly to iSync 2.1.1, so you could reapply whichever is appropriate for your configuration and skip the iSync 2 to 2.1 update step.
If you are unsure of any of these steps, stop and ask what to do. If you don't execute them properly, you will end up having to start the process all over again. [Apple clearly has not made this easy.]

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Hi,
To configure your ODBC DataSource, go to Control Panel ---> DataSources(ODBC) (If you are in a Windows environment).
Select the tab System DSN. If you have not added your data source, then do so by clicking on the Add button. If you have added the datasource, click on the Configure button to configure it.
Give the datasource name, then the database name.
You have to give the hostname, service name and server name. I guess, in most cases, the datasource name and host name will be the same, service name and server name will be the same. If you are using TCP/IP, the protocol will be onsoctcp.
There will be a file named Services under C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc where you have to give the port number for accessing this server.
It will be like this <service name> <portnumber>/tcp

Help ... My wife got an old laptop working again today. On there was an iTunes which she hadn't used for a year or more.
1. Marie plugged her 6 month old iPhone 4s into iTunes (the first time she had done this)
2. iTunes said she needed v 10.5 or above
3. She downloaded iTunes 10.7
4. She plugged iPhone back into iTunes
5. her iPhone showed the iTunes install screen
6. The screen message said an iPhone has already been synced with this iTunes (in fact it was an iPod Touch). She was asked whether she wanted to add this as a new iPhone, or if she wanted restore to "Marie's previous iPod Touch settings?"
7. You can guess what happened next. Marie mistakenly pressed Restore.
8. After she had done Restore, the phone asked her if she wanted to join iCloud and use location services etc. She clicked yes. However, by that time I am pretty sure she'd blanked the content on the iPhone by the mistaken restore from the old Touch.
8. We now have no photos, videos, contacts or text messages on the iPhone.It has been Restored with the content on what was a more or less blank iPod Touch.
QUESTION: I think she has replaced all of our content with, basically, nothing. We had many cherished photos and videos on there. Is there ANY way we can get our photos, videos etc back? Marie doesn't think she did a backup before Syncing her iphone.But would the phone have backed up previously, without her knowledge? Given that she had never plugged it into iTunesbefore...
First time we've used the Community. Marie is utterly distraught at the thought that we've lost tons of videos of our 2 year old daughter.

Have you rebooted mac? Then don't, until you checked the temporary directories. If your Aperture library went offline for some reason, Aperture may have written the images to the temporary caches.
Check these system folders, if you find any iPhone images
Quit Aperture.
Open a Terminal window and enter the following two line:
open $TMPDIR
This will open a Finder window with cryptically named folders. Dive into them and look for Aperture's Media cache folder. Are there any image files in the folder "com.apple.Aperture"?
Sometimes Aperture will write to that directory, if it cannot write to the Aperture library.
Also check the following location:
open /tmp
Added: Is there something special about the photos? Are they HDR photos, or taken i burst mode?

iTunes Match is a subscription system that allows you to upload your own music (e.g. coped from CDs) to the cloud so that it shows (in the cloud) on your devices and computers without having to sync/copy it.
Automatic downloads allows to, for example, buy an app on your computer's iTunes and have it automatically download on your phone without having to connect and sync it or go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your download and download it yourself - but doing that, going to the Purchased tab and redownloading an app, should get it associated.
But no, I'm not aware of any problems that not having it associated causes.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.
10.6 software is not downloadable. You must purchase a DVD disc. You can order it from the on-line apple store

There are no files like that in that folder (com.apple.safari). They all have long numbers with .jpeg or .png at the end. That's what I meant by I cannot find any files like those mentioned in all the helps I read today. BTW-it's still crashing - no particular pattern to it at all.
The only two things I have downloaded recently is a new version of Flash and a Mac-driven update to Office.

Re: check that the appointments in my phone are going into iCloud calendars....exactly how do I do this? I fear this is a really stupid question!
My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud?

Well, in that case, you need to log into your account at female.net and get the mail setting from there.
Mail accounts have nothing to do with your carrier - they just provide your phone connection, so it's not really surprising that EE were not helpful, because this e-mail account has nothing to do with them.
Go to female-net and get the mail setting from there because the account is with them.

I can't access my Facebook settings within 'Settings' either but when I try to use the app it asks me to enter my password into my Facebook account in settings, but I can't do that either.
I've updated my software, restored and backed up my phone but it still doesn't work. Troubleshooting doesn't cover this.

Go to Settings>General>Restrictions. Do you have restrictions on? If so, that would prevent you from making changes in some areas of the iPhone.

Do you get a crash report? if so cut and paste the first 50 lines of the report here.
Are you really using Aperture 2 on Lion?
You can try making a new empty library and see if the ad vault command works with the new library. If that fails try making a new user on your system log in as that user and run Aperture on a new library and try the command. Doing these two things will help determine if the problem is system wide or if it is something in your account/library.
