Can anyone help me here i'm new here and with a lost and found ipod mini

hi everyone i found an ipod mini second generation and i think in order for me to beable to use it i have to have the c.d that comes with it. i already dowloaded i tunes 7 and tried everything for i tunes to recognize it, my computer recognized it but not i tunes, nothing happens i think i need a CD for an ipod mini to be able to use it i know that once u install the software u don't really need it anymore and i was wondering if anybody can mail it to me and i promise i will send it back if u want me to. pppplllllleaaaasee help !!!!

i already did that but since it wasn't register or anything they can't do nothing when you buy something and don't register i don't think there's a way for them to know the name or something else. now what would you do next????????? if i already did what i was supposed to do i even call the ipod company to see if they have any information and all they know is that the warranty has expired..

Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

First, I'd strongly suggest setting up a system restore point.

Head back into Windows Update and attempt to get updates again. If they still fail, this time with an 8000FFFF error code, try the following Microsoft document:

If you get Windows Updates flowing again, stock up on any you're behind on (restarting the PC when requested to do so). This may take some time and may have to be done in several batches, depending on how far you've fallen behind. Basically, keep going back to Windows Update until it stops offering you new updates.
After the updates have been installed, restart the PC one more time (in order to ensure that any pending installs requiring a restart have been resolved).
Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the 0x80070424 this time?

Can anyone help me!!! i have an i pod touch and the 4 digit passcode has been forgotten. i have tried a number of times to restore the factory settings on i tunes and have put the i pod into recovery mode, but attempts keep timing out

my son has forgotten his 4 digit pass code for hios i pod touch. i have been instructed to disable it and connect to i tunes to restore factory settings. when I do this the download time is anything up to 20 hours and it keeps timing out. it is now saying that i tunes cannot connect to the i pod because it is locked with a passcode and saying that i must enter the passcode - can anyone help?

I installed the Twitter application on my ipod, the newest ipod, I believe its the 5th generation, with the iOS 5.0.1 and everytime I open the app, where my timeline should be it just says "Protected Tweets" and whenever I try to compose a tweet it says "Error posting message. I've posted this in two other forums now and have gotten no responses so here's my last try.
I am having sync issues with my code. I wish to generate a certain number of samples - these correspond to raster scanning mirror positions. However, I also have a optical switch (PCI-6731) and camera (PCIe-1427) in the code. For each mirror position, I want to switch my optical switch and capture a camera frame. Seems simple enough but in practice it's proving frustrating!!
In an effort to sync everything, I outputted the CO.Pulse.Term to
(1) RTSI0 channel (camera) and to
(2) Ctr0Out which my switch is connected to.
I have used the IMAQ Generate Pulse.vi to trigger the camera. I know that my board does not have an RTSI frame trigger so in MAX I set Trigger Mode to 1 (Internal), Trigger Source to CC1, I have unticked the CC Lines source box and CC1 is set to External trigger 0. I connected my two boards with an RTSI cable.
Originally, I was grabbing triggered images and putting them in a folder but they were completely out of sync with the switch and took a long time to capture. I decided to grab the frames and save them to .avi instead and then split the frames afterwards. But I am still having sync issues. I tried to put in the IMAQ ConfigureTrigger3.vi to configure the action to trigger each buffer but I kept getting timeout errors so I removed it. The .avi capture is within a while loop, set to stop when is equal to the number of original samples (i.e. positions) I set.
Why is there a sync issue with the switch and camera acquisition if both are determined by the same sample clock rate? Does anyone have any insights?? Apologies for all the cross posting but I am desperate to get this up and running. Please see the attached code.

Thank you for your reply. I tried all that you suggested but nada! Nothing worked.
So I brought the Sony Camcorder back to the store (as it was brand new a couple of days old) and exchanged it for a Canon Legria HF R206 HD.
I can now easily upload the video and photos from this camcorder onto my MacBook and it all works fine that way.
But my MAIN PROBLEM is that iMovie in my iPad2 can't read the content of the camcorder using iMovie?
I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I'm using a different version of iMovie on the MacBook vs the iPad 2. Everything works fine using version iMovie 09 ver. 8.0.5 (820) on the MacBook.
I'm using iMovie version 122 ( 2010-2011) on the Ipad2.
After going back to the store and dropping an extra 20 Euro as I was advised that this Camcorder does work well with all Apple products, I now find that it may be the version of iMovie that is preventing the upload to iPad2.
Can you shed any of your wisdom on this for me please?

Can anyone help me get my Apple TV display to stop blinking on and off every second?

My Apple TV is a little under a year old its not version 1 I'm pretty sure it's 2... When I started it up the other night it came on but the display in the screen was blinking on and off about one a second non stop. The white light on the Apple TV is solid white. I was behind an update so I updated it using restore and when it came back on the display is still blinking on and off. When I restart it, the initial apple logo comes on solid which gave me hope but once it transitions to the initial menu screen it starts blinking again. Anyone have a solution?

Hi again,
A couple more things I should add. Everything else plugged into the plasma screen works fine, Xbox, satellite, wii etc...and I did change hdmi cables with the Xbox and the Xbox still worked fine and the Apple TV continues to blink on and off on screen.

Recently when im using a site (in this case it has happened on Gamefaqs.com) if i stay on the site but put my Ipad 2 to sleep for a while, when i go back and try to click a link another web site replaces Gfaqs called "Mobile-Communications.com" and i get a pop up saying "you have one new message" which i had to click "ok" to get away from the site (from what was loading it looked like some crappy chat site)
could this be a virus? My Ipad is not jailbroken btw.

It's probably just a nasty ad on the site.
You can go into the settings and clear your cache, but as long as the ad remains in the rotation on the site you'll experience it again.
You can stop visiting hte site, let them know they have a nasty ad, or look into ad blocking apps. I use weblock and find it works quite well (although it works by putting your internet through a proxy server so may not work in all situations.

Elements 7 wont recognise my raw files from EOS 500D. Can anyone help me as I am new to photoshop?

I have recently installed Photoshop elements 7 and everythng seems to work fine as far as I can tell, however, when i down upload my photos from a card reader or camera, it only imports jpegs etc, and tells me it doesnt recognise my raws. Is this a common problem? What can I do

What you need to do is update your camera raw files on PE7. You need the camera raw 4.5 update. The instructions are on the download page.

Where are the commas after the column names in the column list? The only column that currently has a trailing comma is ServiceType.
Where are the bind variables? You should not be concatenating literal values into the statement - you should be using bind variable placeholders.

My imac 21.5" 2010 model heats up in the top left corner (backside) when iphoto is on ad trying to generate thumbnails? Can anyone help as to why this is. It has been serviced and passed all heating tests? Thanks in advance

I just had my iMac sent away for repair as it kept heating up to the point where you could not touch the top left corner of the machine. It really only heats up when i open iPhoto and it is generating thumbnails for all the events. (Some reason it has lost all the thumbnails).
The Mac came back yesterday and they replaced the fans and cleaned out the machine and it has passed all heating tests.

As user Seventy one recommended above, the "iStatPro" Free software is very useful in determining just how hot your internal hardware components are getting. You could post some of the temp readings from it here so we can comment on them.
