I use Verbatim, not only for DL but for all others as well (CD-RW; DVD-RW; etc.)
Never had problems with them.

Can't really say, since I never used such.
Memorex is a brand often mentioned to have problems with Macs (or vice versa).

IBook flashing solid colors and goes black. Can anyone please help?

My 14-inch iBook has been flashing solid colors (green, red, blue, three different kinds of white) before going black for about a minute, and then start flashing again. I tried restarting repeatedly, and sometimes the normal screen would appear for about 1 minute before flashing colors again.

iBook G4Most likely its a problem with your logic board, specifically, the video memory. Apple has admited to this problem for the G3 ibook after a class action lawsuit was filed. My ibook, a g4 933mhz, which was made shortly after the computers that were part of this lawsuit has the problem. I stupidly paid apple $300 to fix the problem, because they told me that as long as the damage was not caused by me, then it could be fixed for $300. After i paid them and they shipped the laptop to their repair center, they called bacl to say that my logic board was damaged because i had spilled something on my keyboard, and that it would cost $700 to fix. I told them to ship it back, and of course they charged me $300 for nothing. I then tested the keyboard and inspected the laptop for this alleged "water damage" and found nothing. Apple offered no recourse to dispute their findings, and said that there were no problems with my laptops logic board that they were responsible for, despite the online petition having been signed over 700 times. They said that i could pay them an additional $70-$80 to have the apple store take my laptop apart and verify the water damage, and that it didnt guarentee anything, it would just make my case for demanding that the laptop be repaired stronger. Also, even though they orginally said that i had spilled something on the keyboard to cause the damage, when i told them that the keyboard was functioning, they said that i must have placed the laptop in water.

Good luck with your laptop, obviously, unless yours is still under warrenty, i dont recommend sending it to apple for repairs. I should also note that they did originally think that my laptop was part of the problem batch when i brought it to the store, but after they checked the serial number and determined that it was not, then mysteriously the damage was caused by me, and they pocketed my $300. -

My PC has finally died so I need to purchase a new computer but I am getting conflicting advice about synchronising a PC via iTunes or buying a Mac which I'm told is more reliable than a PC and syncs more smoothly. Can anyone please give me so I unbiased advice to help me choose. I generally use a computer for Internet access, ie buying, searching, etc and for storing documents created in Word and Excel and photos, plus I use iplayer etc. I am not a gamer! Any advice is welcome!

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

After several attempts to get some help from Apple, it has become clear to me that my i phone 4 has no options within accessibility to reduce the motion picture.
I have a serious problem with the new software but unfortunatly i cannot go backwards with this update. Apple for obvious reasons will not advise any downgrading options. Can anyone please help me? If you have a podcast in the iTunes Store then it's there for the world to see - they might search on its subject or title, for example, even if they don't actually know about it from you. For the last month or so my icloud won't back up, it keeps telling me that there is too much storage and I need to delete some data. But I have deleted between 3-400 photos and it is still saying the same, can anyone please help
If they were deleted from your camera roll that should have resulted in a corresponding decrease in the estimated size of your next backup.
If it's still saying that you don't have enough storage to back up, read through this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847. It provides some suggestions for reducing your iCloud storage, such as deleting unneeded email.
The other area to look at is your text messages. These are included in the backup. If you have lots of photos and videos attached to your messages, that can significantly increase the size of your backup. If that's the case, deleting these may make a big difference. -
I posted a couple of days ago about a problem my iPhone 4 was having trying to stream video via WiFi
Basically, since I upgraded to iOS 6.0.1 I cannot stream YouTube videos via the app or via Safari, Netflix will not work nor will services such as BBC iPlayer.
I've also discovered this evening I cannot stream any radio apps either.
All of them will play for 10-30 seconds then stop buffering making them impossible to play.
I was given several pieces of advice including restoring the phone to factory settings, restoring it as a new phone, hard resetting twice in a row, deleting all the cache/data in Safari but nothing that has been suggessted has solved the problem.
I know it is not a problem with my internet/WiFi as I have a laptop and a PC both using it and streaming YouTube/raddio stations etc. with no problem. Also, my girlfriend has a 3GS with the old YouTube player and that works with no problems at all.
Can anyone please help me out as it's getting a bit frustrating not being able to use the streaming function on my iPhone.
One thing that is odd, I have no problem surfing the web on the phone via WiFi or streaming over 3G. It is only a problem when trying to stream video/audio over WiFi.

Upgrade from v10.5.8 on an iBook G4? No. The next OS X up from v10.5 Leopard is v10.6 Snow Leopard.
Requirements for Snow Leopard include an Intel procdessor. Your iBookG4 is PowerPC.

When my ipod touch is in recovery mode (when I try to re-store it) the itunes page sayes the website has been timed out and so it won't re-store. There is a limited time, whilst restoring the ipod, it lasts for approx 5 mins, then asks to start again all over again. Can anyone please help me?

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. Well, i lost my iPod at school i dont know if it was stolen, it fell out of my pocket or what but either way it is gone. I have the find my ipod app, and contacted the local police, but i just want it back. I have turned the WIFI off because it runs down my battery and i dont get service at school. Can anyone please give me some advice as to what i should do? Retracing my steps, looking at home, backpack, car, room, clothes have all been looked through. Someone please help! It was a gift from my dad. Its really important to me!
There is nothng special you can do without wifi being on.
Report it to the school and change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod. Apple will not help with anything. -

Make sure you are dealing with the correct product for the serial number. If the serial number is for a full creative suite then you need to get the suite, not the individual application, and vice versa.
