Can anyone tell me all about " mac anti-keylogger device?
I would like to know where to look for this device or software, how much it costs, how complex to install and monitor, etc. Does Apple have such items?
you can make keyboard loggers which intercept the keys directly
or detect the keys by the audio of typing
or using the webcam
not sure there is one device which could block every keyloggger attempt
but rest assumred then if you did not install a keylogger on your computer then there is not keyloggers are not something which works across the Internet without anything being manually installed in your end first

Could anyone tell me please what Mac Shield is?
yesterday whilst surfing the net, this presumably Anti virus program got installed on my laptop informing me that it is infected! Now i keep getting pop ups about having spywares and how I should get rid of them!
Can anyone tell me please what Mac Shield is? and whether it is fake or not?
Very much appMac Shield is a fake program. You are not really having so many virus or spyware as it claims, the real thing should be removed is that fake Mac Shield.
I find peopel discuss this topic on this page:
http://blog.teesupport.com/how-to-guide-remove-mac-shield-macshield-virus-manual -removal-instructions/
There should be videos on youtube to teach how to remove fake Mac Shield, you just need to dig more information yourself.
Good luck to you. -
Can Anyone tell me eScript is needed r Not?????
i have a doubt,
i do all the things via script is it good for siebel. can anyone tell me all the
good and bad things for eScript. My advice to developers is normally as follows:
Examine the requirement. Determine if Siebel can do it "out of the box".
See if basic config can meet the requirement e.g. make field read only.
See if Bus Comp user properties can meet the requirement e.g. FieldReadOnly Field for conditional read only based on other values.
See if you can use a workflow process with in built Siebel processes.
Finally as a last resort use scripting but make sure scripting best practice is followed.
Read through technote 591 - Declarative alternatives for scripting for more info. -

ThanksYour welcome, gald to be of help
Welcome to Apple Support Communites and to the Mac, after a little time you will be flying!
Make sure if you have not done so yet to run software update to make sure you MBP is up to date, you can do this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left on your menu bar, and clicking on Software update.
One other thing that will help you when posting here is to make syre your profile is up to date/correct. You have in your profile as of now your MBP model and year which is freat, but you have for your operating system, iOS(mobile devces) 7.02, which would be for and iPhone, iPad, iPod. Your MacBook Pro operates on OSX (which in your case should be 10.8.5, you can find this info under the Apple logo, About this Mac) having this info available to anyone reading a question post is very helpful for them offer advice/sugesstions that may apply to your particular OSX, as well as eliminating confusion.
Thank you for the green check, by marking your respones it helps other users to find solutions if they are having a similar issue, if you are looking for something, after typing yor question, check the right hand side bar under "More Like This" and sometimes you may find an answer there.
Synergy is a great thing.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities and enjoy your new Mac.
One more suggestion is to purchase AppleCare it will extend your warranty to 3 years and you will also have free phone
in-store/online for the entire period. I have done this with my families machines and found it to well woth the relativly small investment. -
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of tlb search? It unfortunately entered into my mac. Whenever I use safari, a pop-up window opens with some ads. Please help me to find a way to remove this malware.
You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
/Library/Application Support/VSearch
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
/System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. -
I have mac os x10.4.11 Tiger , i tried to update and after I did that when I tried to use itunes, but it doesn't open.. can anyone tell me what I have to do to fix this ??
Hello,
Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
* Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
minimum system requirements
* 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
* DVD drive for installation
* 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
Classic/OS9 Apps no longer supported.
Trouble is Apple no longer sells it, check eBay & such for the Retail version, not the Gray Discs...
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=mac+os+x+leopard+retail+10.5
There are workarounds if the 867MHz CPU is the only hangup...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/leopardassist/
http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/unsupported.html
So we know more about it...
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, report the version of OSX from that window, then click on More Info, then click on Hardware> and report this upto but not including the Serial#...

Can anyone tell me how to find what OS I'm using on the Mac?
Tiger or Leopard?
Also, how do I update from 10.6.8 to the latest version?Go to the Apple menu and select "About This Mac". You will get a window similar to this one -
You current OS X version number will be shown as I've marked.
OS X 10.4.x is Tiger, 10.5.x is Leopard, 10.6.x is Snow Leopard, 10.7.x is Lion, and 10.8.x is Mountain Lion.
Whether or not you can go to the latest OS X version depends upon your hardware -
You will need to purchase the retail set for the OS X version you want; there is no pint in getting and installing any intermediate versions. Once the retail version has been installed, you can update it to the latest release for that version via download updater. -
Hi everybody, new to Mac, can anyone tell me please, do I need to do any maintainence? ie. Disc cleanups or a de-frag?
den.thed is spot on in his assessment. The maintenance scripts run in the background, if you want to see when they were last run or to run them manually download and install the Maintidget Widget by clicking the link.
Also as far as malware and antivirus software, this is something you can also forget about with a Mac. OS X is incredibly secure and there are no viruses for OS X. Shocking but completely true. Using a little common sense such as never download from a site you are not familiar with or trust. If you get a popup telling you to download something then ignore it. Run Software Update at least once per month ( you will find it under the Apple Symbol in the upper left of your screen) and this will keep your system up-to-date.
Finally considering you are new to OS X I'd recommend you bookmark and begin using:

Can anyone tell me how to delete previous "keep file" files? Im trying to free up some space on my mac.
You can upgrade to Mavericks free, just run the App Store program and search for Mavericks. But before you do upgrade I recommend the following:
1) make sure you have a recent backup. TimeMachine is fine.
2) Mavericks is somewhat more memory hungry than 10.7 was. You will need 4 GB of RAM and I strongly recommend 8 GB.
Go back to the Apple menu and select About this Mac - look under the OS info you just looked at. You'll see how much RAM your computer has now. Then click on the More Info button. There you will see your computer info listed as in: iMac, 21.5" mid 2010, for example. Return back with that information and we can tell you how far the computer can be upgraded.
If you decide to procede and you have enough RAM upgrading to Mavericks is quite simple. Click on the download button and let it do its job. -
Can anyone tell from this log why my mac keeps crashing and forcing a restart?
Can anyone tell fromm the log below why my iMac keeps randomly crashing and forcing a restart? It is happening way too often now and it's driving me crazy!
Only just a few days ago I wiped my drive clean and installed a fresh OS copy of mountain lion, I then though it may be a Ram issue but a thorough test said everything was ok and I had a memory monitor window open last time it crashed which showed that barely any of the memory was in use!?
Really need some help here guys!
Thanks in advance!

Can anyone tell me how to move my email addresses from Mac Mail to Thunderbird
Hi all.
I've been having so many problems with Mac Mail that I decided to give Thunderbird v17 a go. It automatically imported my emails and account settings but hasn't imported my email addresses. I know they'll automatically be added as and when I reply to incoming emails but I assumed there would be some way of adding my existing contacts in one go. Searched the net for a solution but came up empty-handed. Any help you can give me will be much appreciated.

PRESS AND HOLD THE IMAGE IN THE EMAIL UNTIL THE OPTION TO 'SAVE IMAGE' APPEARS THEN TAP ON THAT.
See how annoying really large text is? Don't do that next time. -
Hi, can anyone tell me the best way to transfer my everything including itunes a/c to a brand new mac, thanks
Hello i recently transfered to a new mac and i have it perfectly figured out so first off dont use migration assestant if you don't want to get your old computer exactly on your new computer. In my opinion starting on a fresh computer is best, BUT you still want your files so i have a video you can watch if my instructions don't make sense.
1. Go to finder and find your music folder
2. click the folder labled itunes
3. click itunes music or find the folder with all the folders in it that have names of artist or albums
4. then select all those folders with the artis or album names with commant A this will select all those folders
5. then drag these to and external hard drive or connect to your old mac from your new mac wirelessly to find these folder
6. if you did wireless sharing option just drag all those folders to the itunes icon if you used an external harddrive find the folders on there and do the same.
7. any questions please reply watching video will help.
