Can anyone tell me if this error report information points to something specific wrong with my MacBook Pro?

Hi All,
I pasted the error report info below that the most recent error brought up. My MacBook Pro will, on occasion, freeze up on me and usually turn the monitor completely black. This also happens occasionally when trying to boot up from a Standby mode, the system just never recovers and the monitor stays black. A couple times the monitor has stayed up displaying the last screen before the freeze and the system will just be frozen. The keyboard stays lit up however. I end up having to hard power down the laptop (by holding the power button for 4 seconds) and booting it back up.
I'm assuming it's a hardware issue, if the below info has any indicators as to what might actually be the problem it would be greatly appreciated if you could share that with me =)
Thanks!
Adam

Another thing is, I'm trying to display chinese characters using jsp page. When I use Tomcat-3.2.1, i can view the chinese characters correctly, but when I converted to Tomcat-3.3a (due to the newer version of JDBC API available in Tomcat-3.3a), it don't seems to recognize the html META Header that I use to encode the jsp page.
Is there anyway if making Tomcat-3.3a read the header or what ???
Can anyone enlighten me on this ??
I really need to get the solution or the reason ASAP !!
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
I dont know whether you are still getting the error. This error seem to be result of closing the output stream accidently or manually for some reason. so look out for 'out.close' or other 'out' operations which deals either with flushing or closing the stream. By removing the statement I solved this problem.
if u have any questions: contact me on [email protected]
    Thanks.

  • Can anyone tell me what this Error Code is??

I just recently started having my computer go to sleep on me every so many seconds out of nowhere and i have tried everything i know of to fix it. I ran the apple hardware test and got this error..
    4mot/1/400000002: CPU-0
can anybody tell me what this means?????

Just FYI, a 4MOT error code indicates a problem with one of the fans. My guess is that the CPU fan has failed and the CPU is overheating. A trip to the Apple Store is definitely called for.
    Regards.

Usually, these errors from Native system are caused by our misuse of the language. But not always, it can also because of other external factors.

  • Can anyone tell me what this Time Machine error means? The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features?

Can anyone tell me what this Time Machine error means? The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features?

    AFP - Apple Filing Protocol
The Network Attached Storage (NAS) that you are pointing Time Machine at does not have the features needed by Time Machine in order to do its Thing.  Time Machine needs some specific features that are not typically available on generic networked storage devices.
There are manufactures that support the Mac OS X HFS+ file system formats and implement all the needed AFP protocol packets necessary so that they can be used with Time Machine, but apparently yours does not.
If you are not using a networked mounted volume for Time Machine, then more information will be needed about your Time Machine setup.

  • Please can someone tell me what this panic report means - I get this constantly!

    Hi  Everyone
I Have a 2012 mac Mini 2.0ghz i7  with 2 x 4gb ram and I keep getting panic reports at random times,  I have  reinstalled the OS and it still keeps happening.  I have removed and swapped each of the memory modules and it seems that  I get the problem if I have the top memory module  occupied(I have swapped the memory over and it still happens) .
At present I have just the 2nd(bottom)memory slot in use and all's well.  Can anyone tell me if this will mean I wil have to have the motherboard replaced or if its a simle fix? Or if its a common issue withh this model and year?
I would like to have it fixed but is it worth it?
The panic report is as follows - thanks for your help (in advance):

    Thanks Michael
Yes both memory modules work fine - I have swapped them over so its got to be the slot.  Its been like it  since I bougjht it (2nd hand) and the warranty had expired when I got it.
It does work fine with 4 GB but i need more memory as I want to use VM Fusion and run windows  as  I plan to study for a microsoft exam to improve my employment oportunities in IT once I get made redundant in the nextfew montths. Alternatively,  I could buy an old windows laptop which may work out cheaper than getting the mac fixed,  or perhaps buy an 8gb memory module and sell my 2x4gb module - decisions, decisions!
I will take your advice and get apple to check it out and give me a quote.

    Hello KCC4ME,
You may try booting your Mac in Safe Boot, as it can resolve many issues that may prevent a successful login.
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564
If a Safe Boot allows you to successfully log in, you may have issues with one or more login itmes (while the following article is labelled as a Mavericks article, it is viable for earlier versions of the Mac OS, as well).
OS X Mavericks: If you think you have incompatible login items

This is a known malware site:
    https://www.virustotal.com/en/url/16ffcd2699ffe17f14aefd48d09fa6789ac7bef1e981d1 4bc15b0b4241f078ce/analysis/1401447687/

The malware on that site cannot affect your iPad. In fact, there is no known malware capable of infecting an iPad, unless it has been jailbroken (ie, hacked to allow apps from outside the App Store). The question is, where did you come across this site?

  • When I switch libraries I lose the majority of the material in my main library and can only restore it by repairing the database. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can resolve the problem? Thanks

When I switch libraries I "lose" the majority of the material in my main library (or at least I can't see it) and can only restore it by repairing the database. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can resolve the problem? Thanks

I seem to have found a way around it. Rather than switching libraries by going into files/switch libraries I used Aperture Preferences to change them. I've done it a couple of times and it appears to work OK.
That is an interesting finding. It suggests, that your "Preferences" file "com.apple.Aperture.plist" may have been corrupted and you fixed it this way. Can you now switch between libraries the usual way? If not, I'd try to remove the "preferences" file from the user library to the Desktop and relaunch Aperture.
    The Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805
describe how to remove the user preferences.

Hi can anyone tell me if this is normal, my computer has been extracting an adobe download all night???? and it has cost me $60 in pre paid internet already, i hope it is going to work!!!

Where did you choose to download the install files too?

  • Can anyone tell me if this is correct ?

Can anyone tell me if this is correct ?
    String query = "SELECT * FROM " + tablename + " where RECP_MOBILE = '" + mobile + "'" + "and USER_ID = '" + id + "'" ;
( mobile and id are values from another place )
I tried to execute this, but as long as the user_id is right, it will return me the values even though the mobile is wrong.
    Thank you.

I think you should have a space before "and USER_ID"; I'm surprised it even runs without that. Otherwise, it should be okay as long as mobile and id don't contain any quote characters.

  • I am new to Mac Pro but am purchasing one online.  can anyone tell me how to get the information from my Toshiba onto the Mac.  there are no stores in the state I live in.  Do I need to find a location and will they do a transfer from my I Tunes etc?

I am new to Mac Pro and am purchasing one online  tonight.  Can anyone tell me how to get my information - Itunes, photos, and videos transferred onto the Mac from my Toshiba.  the state I live in doesn't have an Apple store but I could take it to Minneapolis when I go.  Any ideas where to begin?

You might profit from a visit to a Minneapolis Apple store. With a brand new Mac, I think they will be most helpful - not just with transferring files, but with other advice as well. And I strongly recommend you invest in a back up drive. The Apple folk can help with that as well.
