Can anyone tell me the how to use the "ducking" process in Logic Pro 8?

I've tried following the directions in the manual but I just can figure out the steps necessary to use the ducking process in Logic 8. For those who aren't sure what ducking is it's for instance, when you want a guitar track's volume to be reduced when a vocal track is active. As an example, there is a way to trigger the volume reduction in the guitar track(s) using a compressor in the vocal track. Whenever the singer is singing it automatically reduces the volume in the guitar track. I'm just not sure how to do this. Any help with the steps involved would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the theory is you run say, the mix , through the 'ducker' or as I like to call it, the 'motherducker', then you simply sidechain say, a kick drum. That is to say, you route your kick to a bus or aux channel, preferably routed to a different output, then assign that bus or aux as your sidechain input in the ducker. The theory is that the through signal will duck on receipt of the sidechained kick.
Frustratingly, this ducker is the buggiest thing since a bug landed on a buggy while loading it into the back of a VW bug. It just doesn't work. well it works for a bit and then stops working. Or the kick comes through the ducker as well. Or some other manifestation of complete crapness. Come on Apple, sort it out - it's the sound that everybody wants!

I think it's pretty basic.
If you are listening to music on your phone, it should automatically mute it when a call comes in. A basic press of the call answer / end button should then do just that.
Have a go! You could try experimenting with a quick double press, that may recall the last number you dialled, but otherwise that's probably it.

I'm new to using addons, so please forgive my ignorance. I've installed LeechBlock and now I can't see where to find it. Can anyone tell me where/ how to access it? I've looked under Addons in the Tools menu, but this just has options to install more addons.
I had thought there'd be a button on the toolbar, or even a new toolbar, but I can't see anything...

Hi, you're nearly there! When you are looking at the Add-ons you need to select Extensions on the left-hand side, and you should see it, together with your AdBlock plus. There might also be a button in the 3-bar menu - but I'm not familiar with that particular Add-on so can't be sure about that.

Apple could not tell you who else might be using your credit card, so there's no point in trying to contact them. All they could discuss with you is your own iTunes Store account, and if there's nothing in your purchase history, the charges almost certainly aren't coming from there. Again, you should take this up with your bank/credit card company and report these charges as fraudulent. They probably will cancel your card and issue you a new one.

I can't find any sort of "Talking Tom Cat" that provides message notifications, and without jailbreaking I can't see how it would be possible. The only Talking Tom Cat app I can find it a self-contained novelty app. If that's what you're referring to, just search the iTunes Store for "talking tom cat" and if the app is available in your country, you should find it. Be aware that while the app is free, the "gold coins" for all the accessories are definitely not free.

You can't purchase an iPad or any Apple hardware via the Apple online store in another country and have it shipped to your address in another country. That would be against the export/import laws in the country where the product was purchased and in the country where the product was shipped to.
For example, Apple cannot ship an iPad purchased via the U.S. Apple online store outside of U.S. borders.

Flash content will normally be above any other content, you may be able to force the image above the flash content using the css z-index property, but this will not work for all your users, even if it works for you.

Unless you know exactly what state it was in before, and by that I mean that you have a record of all installed files and their cryptographic hashes, there's no way to be sure. You won't find a file called something like "Keylogger.app." It will be well hidden and disguised. You also have to consider the possibility of a hardware keylogger, which isn't software at all.
If this is your Mac, and you have reason to suspect it's been tampered with, the only thing to do is erase the boot drive, reinstall the OS from known-good media, and then restore all your applications from known-good originals and your data from known-good backups.
If it's not your Mac, you should have no expectation of privacy while using it, whether it has a keylogger or not.

The only way to locate your phone is through Apple's Find My Phone service. However, you would have had to setup/activate Find My Phone before your phone was lost/stolen, and it must be turned on & the phone have internet access. You would then login to iCloud.com, from any computer, & hopefully locate your phone. If you didn't setup Find My Phone, there is no way to locate your phone. Report the loss to the police & your carrier. Change your passwords.

I have to write a program that asks for the speed of a vehicle (in miles-per-hour) and the number of hours it has traveled. It should use a loop to display the distance a vehicle has traveled for each hour of a time period specified by the user. Such as 1 hour will equal 40 miles traveled, 2 hours will equal 80, 3 hours will equal 120, etc. This is what I've come up with thus far. Any help is appreciated.

You seem to be trying to reuse the speed and hours variables in your loop. That's probably a mistake at this point. Keep it simpler by defining a loop variable.
Also I don't see the need for two loops. You just want to show how far the vehicle has traveled for each one-hour increment, assuming constant speed, for the number of hours it has been traveling, right? So a single for loop should be sufficient.
