Can anyone tell me what OTH stands for?

On my payments page I have a OTH payment of 400 dollars. I'm assuming it's my deposit put of my account as a bill credit since this month marks one year since I put the deposit down but I was told I would get at least half of the deposit if not all of it credited back to my account or mailed to me as a check?

    Domonique.I,
We would like to thank you for being with us for a year. I can explain the payment. It is your deposit on the account. They do apply your deposit to the bill. It allows you to have a credit on the account.

    Rotation Lock
Rotation Lock prevents the iPad display from switching between portrait and landscape mode. While Screen Rotation Lock is enabled, the following occurs:
The display remains in landscape or portrait mode, regardless of how iPad is held.
The Rotation Lock icon appears in the status bar.
A padlock appears in the rotation lock button (viewable when you flick to the left on the recently used apps list, after double-clicking the Home button).

  • I am noticing Itunes application detector in Mozilla? Can anyone tell me what it is for?

Lately I have experienced problems with re-directing and other issues with Mozilla. I looked in my add-ons list and there are several things there that i did not add manually.
(I have been having much trouble with ITunes and noticed a plug in in mozilla and want to know if it is necessary.)
Is there a way to keep this from happening? I have been using mozilla for years and liked it when I could do a basic install without any add-ons that I did not request.
Here is a list of the things that are troubling me - I am sure a few may be necessary.
I would appreciate any help anyone can give me with this?

Shutting down only returns a Mac to a certain default running state.
If the beach balling problem is there, it can and, most probably, will return.
Sometimes a shut down or restart can reset things, but if this was something that was nagging issue, it may return.
It's better for a Mac to sleep or hibernate than to constantly shut it down.
Shutting down and starting up a computer all the time puts more strain on electronic components than just letting the computer sleep and go into a reduced power mode.
Sometimes Safari ( or any web browser) can be the culprit as Adobe Flash Player, running inside Safari, can eat up a lot of CPU and RAM resources when on a website that needs extensive use of Adobe Flash Player.  Also, animations and pop- up ads in a web browser can have the web browser using up more CPU and RAM cycles, too! Other web browser factors like having a lot of windows or tabs active can increase the amount of RAM that the web browser is using.
Also, it a good idea not to have too many CPU and RAM intensive apps running concurrently in the background.
Also, some unknown process can eat up system resources.
From time to time if the beach balling returns, launch Activity Monitor app inside your Applications>Utilities folder a see if there are any processes that are eating up an excessive amount of RAM or CPU cycles.
Any antivirus apps are known causes of OS X slowdowns and beach balling as well as a lot of " crapware" like MacKeeper. Keep software like that off of your system.

  • Can anyone tell me what the codes following dictionary entries are in the Australian English dictionary add-on?

Most entries have codes after them, eg:
    abalone/MS
    abase/LDSG
    abaser/M
    abash/LGDhS
    abbreviate/nDGNS
    aberrantes
    aberration/SM
    Abilene/M
    abjure/yDNSnRG
I can't establish a pattern for them...can anyone tell me what they are for, and if they can be deleted?

That are flags to specify what kind of data that entry is and how it can be expanded with a prefix and suffix. The accompanying file *.aff define what those flags mean.

It's standard boilerplate javascript inserted by Dreamweaver when you add behaviors to your page. The block you posted contains three function definitions. The first covers preloading images (function MM_preloadImages), the second is what you need when an event in one place affects something in another (function MM_findOb) place on your page, and the third is for managing a group of checkboxes (function MM_nbGroup) I think!
To say whether you could delete them or not, we would have to see the rest of your page to see if you are using any behaviors that might require those functions.

    Hello KCC4ME,
You may try booting your Mac in Safe Boot, as it can resolve many issues that may prevent a successful login.
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

If a Safe Boot allows you to successfully log in, you may have issues with one or more login itmes (while the following article is labelled as a Mavericks article, it is viable for earlier versions of the Mac OS, as well).

We got a new Apple TV for Christmas and it works wonderful. However, my question is this. We are on a satelitte internet system and our bandwidth is limited. Can anyone tell me what effect it will have on using up my 10 megs of bandwidth? If I run over the 10 mgs, the service either slows way down until it is reset on the first of the next month or I have to purchase additional bandwidth and it can get expensive.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If you only have a 10MB limit on the Internet connection you might as well not have Internet access and certainly should not attempt to stream anything.
If the limit is 10GB, then you will need to be careful with streaming as most video is 1-3GB for a one hour show.

Instead of getting a wireless card for the Mac Pro, you might want to consider getting an 802.11ac wireless bridge device that would enable you to connect more than one device to it by Ethernet cable and to eventually take advantage of the faster 802.11ac wireless standard.

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

Can anyone tell me what that means?

Hello ElAnBr10! So sorry for any confusion over your order status. I would take that comment ("received and activated") to mean exactly as it sounds: The device was shipped, received and activated. In order to confirm that, I propose we take a detailed review. I've sent you a direct message as a follow up to your post. Please reply there!

    Hi Katherine,
yes and no . You need as well weblogic + soa files as the database schemas (soa_infra, mds...).
