Can Apple help find a ancient iTunes account?

I had an iTunes account in college, my computer literally started on fire and by the time I started using iTunes again it was years later. I don't remember the email used, I've had a lot, Is there anyway apple help find it? I could verify any personal information, I went through a non-tech phase. AKA I dated a really rich girl, so never used anything of my own. So any who here I am years later, minus RWG, & I was thinking whatever happened to all that music I had? Could I get it back? So I am asking can apple phone support or anyone help you locate your ancient iTunes account from the past?

  • Pls can you help? Setting new itunes account, new laptop, same ipod, separating libraries

I have my 2 kids ipods set up as different libraries under my own account, which works fine, as up til now they did not have their own computers
but now one kid has their own laptop, I would like to get their own itunes account. and put their library on their laptop How do I do this please,
Ideally I would like to set up a new apple id, on their laptop, and then plug in their ipod nano and ipod touch, so that it is all there for them....without losing the music that is already on it.

Hi iamjulia91, I am experiencing a similar issue with iTunes 10 but so far have not found a fix or a post advising what further can be done to sync with latest library. Like yourself we have soooo many playlists, purchased music, podcasts, games etc that just cannot be sync'd. Sorry I'm of no use but I will keep an eye on your thread too in the hope that someone can stop me from pulling ALL oif my hair out

  • Can Apple help finding iPad with new "Owner" via serial Number?

VERY sadly I lost my 3rd Generation, wifi-only iPad in a taxi in Mexico (my parttime home). I tried using FindMyPhone app to find or lock my iPad, but it NEVER worked. Last Saturday, someone connected online (despite what the FindMyPhone said) and a handful of photos showed up in my DropBox. I have a very general idea where it is (not the city, only state of Guanajuato) and appears to be owned by a teacher.
BUT!!! Why can't Apple use the serial number to keep the person from creating a new account, tell me when and where it is online? I know people are getting robbed of their iPhones, iPads, etc often.
I do suspect Apple does not want to help, as victtims become new purchasers.
    Any suggestions?
P.S. This weekend is Mexico Independence and I will go to the equivalent of our school district on Tuesday to see if anyone recognizes the photos of the classroom the apparent teacher took. So close, yet so far.
I am pretty heartbroken as it is a bit too expensive to replace.
P.P.S. AND, NO there is NO geolocation information in any of the photos. I have tried all the usual ways to recoup my 64GB baby.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

  • Can I have more than one itunes account on my apple tv?

Can I have more than one itunes account on my apple tv?  We have two accounts in our family and would like to be able to switch between them.

Thank you.  What I was really trying to find out is if there is a limit on switching iTunes accounts - I have a vague memory of reading that changing from one iTunes store account to another was going to be limited in some way, but maybe this is on iTunes itself?  Or perhaps my memory is incorrect?   We have two iTunes accounts and swap back and forth regularly on our iPhones and iPads to buy and update apps without a problem.  I couldn't find any reference to it on a quick search yesterday so what I have done with the AppleTV is leave it set to one account, and we watched the other account content via my Macbook.

  • HT204053 Can you have multiple apple ids that access one itune account??

I need to know if I can have multiple Apple Ids attached to one itunes account.  Trying to set facetime up on these separate devices and it keeps failing.  Any help would be appreciated.  I tried to add additional emails, but I all I get is verifying and it never verifies it.

yes you can still sync all the devices on itunes using one master itunes/appleID account.
    Music:
If you want to select specific playlists for your kids, DON'T enable iTunes Match on their devices, otherwise they will get ALL the playlists on their devices (learned that the hard way)
If you have wi-fi synced enabled that should still work.
    Apps:
I manually select which apps they get on their devices using itunes. It only changes when they re-sync.
Don't enable AUTO downloads on their devices for Apps or Music purchases.
Since I also have young kids using these devices:
I have restrictions setup on their devices. I don't allow them to install/delete apps, nor do I allow them to make any account changes on their devices. This way their devices stay in order and get backed up to icloud. I can easily restore their devices if I needed too.
Once in a while I will disable the restrictions so I can update all their apps.
    Hope this helps!

Can anyone help me? The iTunes update corrupted my program. I uninstalled, and then reinstalled iTunes; only to find an error message about iTunes Helper. After several fruitless, repeat attempts, I am at a loss. Please help…

    Many thanks.
With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

If you mean that you don't have a rescue email address set up on your account as described on the page that you posted from (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

  • HT3819 How can I transfer songs from my ITunes account to my daughter's who has a different Apple ID but same account info?

How can I transfer songs from my iTunes account to my daughter's, who has a different apple ID, but the same account information?

Purchases cannot be transferred between different Apple IDs.

  • Can I use more than one itunes account on apple tv?

I live in a household with more than one iTunes accounts.  Is it possible for Apple Tv to have more than one iTunes account set up?  We have 2 Macs with 2 separate iTunes accounts.

you can enter information for only one iTunes account on TV.
however, as long as home sharing is set up properly, you can stream content purchased with up to five Apple ID's to TV.

  • Can I use more than one iTunes account with my apple TV?

Can I use more than one iTunes account with my apple TV?

That depends what you mean. If you mean can you purchase from more than one iTunes account on the Apple TV, then the answer is no. If you mean can you stream from more than one iTunes library, which use different accounts, then the answer is yes, so long as they both use the same ID and password for homesharing.

  • Can you set up apple tv using 2 different itunes accounts from 2 different macs in same household?

can you set up apple tv using 2 different itunes accounts from 2 different macs in same household?

No, you can only connect to one Home Sharing account at a time. If you want to see the content of the other Mac's library you will have to turn off Home Sharing on the Apple TV and log back in with the other iTunes account.

  • My apple id attached to my itunes account has expired and i have forgotten the password that was attached to it! I have created a new apple id but cannot transfer it to my itunes which all my apple products connect up to on my mac?! HELP!

My apple id attached to my itunes account has expired and i have forgotten the password that was attached to it! I have created a new apple id but cannot transfer it to my itunes which all my apple products connect up to on my mac with all my pictures etc on!?! HELP!

My apple id attached to my itunes account has expired
They don't expire. As far as anyone knows Apple IDs live on forever - if you forgot its password use https://iforgot.apple.com. Good luck with the answers to whatever security questions it asks.
... I have created a new apple id but cannot transfer it to my itunes which all my apple products connect up to on my mac with all my pictures etc on!?!
Right! That's the reason you do not create a new Apple ID.
As far as Apple is concerned a new Apple ID is a completely different user, with absolutely, positively no access to anything available to any other Apple ID.
Concentrate your efforts on resetting the password to your old Apple ID. It has not expired, and is the only way to use all your existing iTunes purchases, App Store purchases, computer authorizations... etc. Forget about the new Apple ID you just created.

  • A month ago my iPhone was stolen, I turned on Activation Lock but it never came out BUT an hour ago somehow my apple ID was changed and someone removed from the account both iPhone and iPad and the iPad was also removely wiped. Can Apple help me somehow?

A month ago my iPhone was stolen, I turned on Activation Lock but it never came out BUT an hour ago somehow my apple ID was changed and someone removed from the account both my iPhone and iPad and the iPad was also remotely wiped. As soon as I saw it I recover the password and return the access to my iPad. But iPhone is not registered for my apple ID any longer. Can Apple help me somehow? I have all the documents and the iPhone box. Will they lock the iPhone and return me access to it. I'm sure it's been attached to another apple ID.
PS. the apple ID I'm using on the discussons is not the hacked one.

Try contacting the Apple account security team and ask: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

  • HT1688 I have lost my iphone.  I have my locator on. can apple help me find it?

I have lost my iphone.  I have my iphone's locator on.  Can Apple help me fine it?  I have 30% battery life left on it.

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, all a thief or whoever finds it has to do is force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. While this deletes all data on the phone, it also removes the passcode so the phone can then be used as a phone or touch.

  • Can I use more than one iTunes account on my apple TV

We just purchased our AppleTV and my wife wanted to use her Mac and her iTunes account to listen to music when I am at work. I setup the AppleTV using my iTunes account. Can I use more than one iTunes account on my apple TV?

You can have both libraries available to the Apple TV at the same time. As I say the key is understanding your iTunes account ID and your homesharing ID are different things (although there is nothing stopping you using one of your iTunes account ID's as the homesharing ID - I do that)
You need to make sure that the ID and password you use on both libraries and the Apple TV are all the same.
Also, no need to apologise, the wrong thing to do is not ask and suffer in silence.
