Can you sort apps on ipad2

If you want to re-arrange the apps order/layout then you can do so by pressing and holding one for a couple of seconds, after which they should then start to shake - you can then drag apps (not too quickly) around the screens, or move one on top of another in order to create an app folder (you can then drag more apps, up to 20 in total, into the same folder). To move an app to another screen drag it so that it overhangs the edge of the screen and after a couple of seconds the display should change to that screen. Press the home button to stop the shaking. You can also re-arrange apps via the device's Apps tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.

I have tried signing out and in, still does not work.
Still just get the previously mentioned "messages".
I wanted to restore, but then you have to turn off "find my ipad/iphone" but this is not allowed, as I cannot connect to the itunes/icloud or app store. The units work with current apps. EG; email etc, and with apps that do not require current updates.

Why can't I sort songs with !'s next to titles??

Why can't I sort songs with !'s next to titles (meaning these songs don't exist in Library but actually do)? I really don't want to scroll through 5,000 titles to remove these items.

Where is scroll bar for notes? can you change sorting for notes to A-Z?

is there a scroll bare for NOTES in icloud? Can you change sorting to A-Z?

Are you asking about viewing your Notes on https://www.icloud.com/#notes on a Mac?
In Safari the scrollbar will appear, when you start to scroll the note list with a trackpad or a mouse.
In the Notes.app the scroll bar will always be visible, if you enable the scroll bars in System Preferences > General > Show Scroll Bars > Always
In the Notes-app the list can be sorted by title from the "View > Sort by" menu, but on icloud.com I do not know of a similar option.

ITunes 11: In the store, I can no longer sort by name/artist/album

I can no longer sort by name or artist or album when I'm in the store with iTunes 11. Yes, I discovered the View Options in the Menu Bar. By when I select it nothing opens. Same for Command-J. It doesn't do anything either. I've tried hitting Command-J repeatedly, but nothing.
The fact is, it seems utterly stupid to have this work differently than when you're in your library---by simply hitting name/artist or album in the bar at the top of the list. Having to sort lists in the Store via a completely different method than the lists in one's library is totally counter-intuitive.
But back to my problem: The View Options won't open for me. Anybody know how to fix this?
I've got a lot of music I wish to buy, but I need different methods of sorting, otherwise it'll be a nightmare trying to keep track of things.

I have the same exact problem. I am using a Windows computer running Windows 7. I was able to see them prior to the installation of 10.4. I have this problem on 2 computers and have a hard time believing that no one else is having this problem

Just downloaded the newest version of software and I can't even sort by song or album??

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want. Which view, exactly, are you trying to use? Almost certainly, you can do what you want...
In iTunes 11, I have the sidebar showing ('cos I prefer it), and :
although I have ringed Composers, this view of my Library is sorted by Song title.
And "group albums" by ...
title?
or artist?
If you can be more specific about your requirements, then perhaps we can give you better help.

How come we can no longer sort by album, only "Album Artist"?

Total BS. If you're listening to a soundtrack album with a ton of artist, you have to know the name of the first artist listed to find it in your library. They used to just have an "Album" sort field, now it is "Album Artist" and "Album by Artist", riddle me the difference because I can't just sort by album. Trying to find out info here is an insult too. If the iPod wasn't so great, I'd totally never come back to Apple. I'm in the market for a new phone and you just made an Android customer.

Nevermind, Apple gave me a link to a similar problem after creating this. Marked the album as a compiliaiton for anyone interested.

Can no longer sort RAW with JPG files together by capture date.

Suddenly I can no longer sort JPG and RAW files together by capture date. I have two Canon SLR's shooting in RAW and one Canon point an shoot shooting in JPG and want to collate the photos in LR4, which I was able to do up to now. I cannot find out what I did to make this happen or correct it in LR preferences. Any solutions?

I read some of the earlier posts about using an app, "Safari Sort." However, I was unable to find an app named that. How or What do I need in order to put my bookmark folders in Alphabetical order without have to drag & drop each folder manually(alpha order)?

I've been watching this (general) thread for years and waiting patiently for Mozilla to address it, w/out any success at all - obviously. And, no, the answers are NOT helpful to me!
I understand many people have no interest in bookmarks but clearly lots of people still use them. If you're going to have the feature that purports to sort bookmarks, for pete's sake, make it work. I'd think it would be an embarrassment to have a part of your program malfunction for so long. I mean, what are you folks? IE!?! Why don't you just ask someone to spend a couple days addressing the issue and get it straightened out? (Clearly i care enough about it but I don't code, so… I'm useless.)
For the record, a user shouldn't have to individually sort each folder within their Bookmarks folder. One should be able to pick an option that would apply to all folders. Sure, leave the ability to sort individually but add an "apply to all" feature to the mother folder. Then, find a way to have it automatically maintain that status, whatever is selected. Doesn't sound like that difficult a task, given all the other great things you guys and girls do all the time! That's my ¢.
By the way, I'm using a MB Pro 4,1 (early 2008), OS 10.6.8, and Firefox 19.0 beta. Thanks for listening to my bitching.

Can apps be on two iPads?

Hello ! My wife and I have apps from both our Apple-ID's on our iPad. Now she has bought an iPad Mini. I thought that the apps from our (now only mine) iPad which were bought with her Apple-ID, would vanish from the iPad when we downloaded them on the iPad Mini. However that is not the case. Now I wunder, can apps that were installed on the iPad with her ID also be used, with her ID, on the Mini ? I think not but I can't find info for this.
And since I'm already posting, sorry for the off-topic, am I missing something or is there really no email for Apple support, only the forums ??

As Niel said, yes they can. Your wife can download the apps that she bought with her ID on the Mini at no charge.
I want to make you are aware of something when using multiple ID's on one device. If you sign into your wife's ID on your iPad into order to download something that she has already purchased, you will associate your iPad with her ID and lock yourself out of your own ID for 90 days. The same thing will happen on her Mini if she signs into your account in order to download past purchases. I'm surprised you haven't run it no this yet or maybe you have and you are aware of it. If you were syncing the apps from iTunes, that's a little bit different, but as soon as you switch ID's so that you can download previously purchased content, you should be locked out of your own ID.

No. But you can do one, copy its settings, then seclect the rest and "Paste Audio Settings" to all of them all at once in a project.

Playlists can't be sorted

Most of my playlists, especially the longer ones can't be sorted by dragging the song name. Is there anyway to fix this problem? I have the latest itunes.

That is how it's supposed to work when you aren't at the computer that music was synced from.
