Can Boot Camp work with wirless Keyboard

Hey guys just wondering has anyone run bootcamp with a wireless keyboard...
P.S. I have a wired mouse though

According to Apple:
Are there any Macintosh features that I should not
expect to work when running Windows XP on an
Intel-based Macintosh computer?
Even after installing the Macintosh Drivers CD, the
Apple Remote Control (IR), Apple Wireless (Bluetooth)
keyboard or mouse, Apple USB Modem, MacBook Pro's
sudden motion sensor, MacBook Pro's ambient light
sensor, and built-in iSight camera will not function
correctly when running Windows.
Can you give me a link to that answer? The only thing I've found is the statement at the end of the install guide that says:
The following hardware features are not supported in Windows XP:
 iSight cameras
 the Apple Remote
 the Apple USB Modem
the keyboard backlighting on MacBook Pro computers
Where did you hear about the bluetooth keyboard and mouse not being supported? I'm typing with one right now, but can't get the eject key to work (AppleCDEject.exe IS running), nor the brightness and volume contorl via keyboard...

  • Does Boot Camp work with Fusion Drive

After having Boot Camp fail this morning while partitioning the drive, and now having to erase and restore my entire hard drive, 500GB worth of crap, I am wondering -- does Boot Camp work with the fusion drive?  My new iMac has one of these things, and I am wondering if that is maybe the reason it did not work.
    Thanks

A virtual machine is less risky because it doesn't modify your hard disk. However, it gives you less performance because it doesn't use all the hardware of your computer.
While that is true the actual performance available depends on how much resources you have, and how much is made available to Windows. (Win 7 in BC on my iMac gets a 5.9, in a VM it gets a 4.8) all the reduction is in the graphics performance. Disk performance in the VM is faster. I have 16GB or Ram, the VM gets 8 of that when it is running.
If games are to played a VM is useless.

  • Will boot camp work with XP

I have a new MacBook Air and would like to use Boot Camp to split the drive.  Will it work with XP, or do I have to load Win 7?

I agree with SP Forsythe recommendation, you can buy Parallels Desktop 7 ($79.95) or VMware Fusion 4(49.95) these programs make what is called a virtual machine on your iMac it's like any other program, but is is designed to run Windows and other OS along side of your Mac OS no need to restart your iMac, the main advantage.  Note: You will need to have a full version of Microsoft Windows.

  • Planning to get New 27" Does Boot camp work with the 1T and 3T Fusions Drives

I am planning to get a NEW 27" IMAC [if they ever come out] and use Parallels Desktop® 8 or Bootcamp for Gamming.
    Going with:
    27" 3.4GHz quad-core Intel core I7 with 8MB L3 cache
    8GB Ram - Upgrade to 32GB 1600MHz DDR3 from Crucial or OWC
    3TB 7200rpm Fusion Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX Graphic processor with 2GB of GDDR5 memory
    AppleCare Protection Plan
    Samsung SE-506AB Slim Portable Blu-ray Writer =+$89.
I work with Photoshop, some Video and Play World of Warcraft.
Planning to do Gaming on the PC Side with using Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop® 8.
As you see I was planning to get the 3TB 7200rpm Fusion Drive.
But I don't know if it would work with Bootcamp.
Not sure if a separate Volume need to be made for the PC side?
If a 768 SSD would work?
Or do I have to go with Regular hard drive?

    Hello,
Kind of funny, the 3 TB isn;tsupported for BootCamp!?
    Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to configure Fusion Drive?
When ordered with a Fusion Drive, your iMac or Mac mini is pre-configured.
Can external USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt hard drives be added to Fusion Drive?
An external drive cannot be used as part of a Fusion Drive volume. Fusion Drive is designed to work with an internal hard disk drive and internal flash storage.
Can I add a partition to the hard disk with Fusion Drive?
Using Disk Utility, you can add one partition to the hard disk on Fusion Drive. Once you add the partition, the "plus" symbol in Disk Utility to add additional partitions will be grayed out. You cannot partition the Flash storage.
If I create a hard disk partition is it part of Fusion Drive?
The additional partition is not part of Fusion Drive. The new partition is a separate volume that is physically located on the hard disk drive.
Can I add a Windows partition?
You can create one additional partition on the hard disk with Fusion Drive. You can create either a Mac OS X partition or a Windows partition.
If creating a Windows partition, use Boot Camp Assistant to create it, not Disk Utility. From the Go menu, choose Utilities. Then, double-click Boot Camp Assistant and follow the onscreen instructions. For more information on Boot Camp see the Boot Camp support page.
Note: Boot Camp Assistant is not supported at this time on 3TB hard drive configurations.

  • Will Boot Camp work with the new Macbook Airs?

I want an 11.6" MBA now, but I want to be sure I can put Windows 7 on it if I need to. Will this just work like the other MacBooks? Does the new MBA software USB key come with the Boot Camp setup files? Thanks!

I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my MBA 11" using a USB flash drive and a program called rEFIt, http://refit.sourceforge.net. it's a free program that also lets you install Linux too. you can even triple boot.
i have had no problems with my MBA and i've had it for a few weeks now. it's awesome.
for those curious how i managed to install Win 7 via USB flash drive, i used a free program from MS that you can find here. http://store.microsoft.com/Help/ISO-Tool?err=t2#at2
    i hope that helps.
now i must go post a new thread with my problem of enabling AHCI on the MBA!

  • Why won't Boot Camp work with 17" MBP??

Hey guys, I saw a thread earlier yesterday about this and didn't think much of it, however now that I'm trying to install the boot camp driver disk once windows is installed I keep getting that "this software is not compatible with this hardware" message and the drivers won't install!! Does anyone know a workaround on this yet? I hope apple addresses this soon because I need to get at some windows files soon. Has anyone found a solution to why the driver disk that boot camp makes won't install when you're on windows? Thanks.

I would assume because those drivers are made specifically for the 15'' MBP.
I believe it uses drivers for the trackpad, etc....which are probably different on the 17''.
Lastly, I would assume that while boot camp is awesome, it might not be on the top of apple's priority list. Problems with "new released 17'' MBP's" are probably higher on the totem pole.
    Just my .02

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Boot Camp Support Software 5.0.5033 supports Windows 8.1 and can be used with that version. The Mid 2011 iMac is compatible with Windows 8, so you should not have any problem by installing Windows 8.

  • HT4753 Can auto save work with Photoshop 5.0?

Can auto save work with Photoshop 5.0?
    [email protected]

No. Autosave/Versions must be built into the app itself to use those OS features. It doesn't work just because it's part of the OS. None of the CS6 apps support it, either. The only Adobe apps that do are the latest versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. And that's only because the have to in order to be allowed in the App Store. In both cases, Adobe also gives users a preference to turn it off.
What Adobe did do in Photoshop CS6 is add an autosave feature of their own. It saves your work according to whatever time increment you choose. Then if the app crashes, it will try to reopen the saved data when you relaunch the app.
