Can Bridge create an interactive Gallery?

Can Bridge be used to create a Flash based Gallery that contains SWF and MP4 content besides just static images?  If so, how?  Currently when I try this the normal way that I would create a gallery it gives me an error stating that "some of the content is not valid image content" when I try to build it from swf files.
I can of course do this manually but part of the advantage of Bridge is that it collects and builds the HTML file with all of the content named appropriately rather than me having to type manually all of the swf and mp4 and mov content and use the correct "html codec" if you will to display the content within the page (when I say html codec I am referring to the appropriate tags that when encasing the file name will display the file within the browser).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've used Max 2012 and Flare3D and it was pretty simple. It came with a plugin for Max to convert objects over to f3d objects. The 'name' of the object in 3dsmax became the reference name inside Flash. I could easily reference any object I imported into a Flare3D Flash scene, move it, rotate, etc. I have no reason to believe you couldn't do the same with Away3D although I haven't tried it (I'm happy with Flare).
The complexity of the object, vertex count and material application really come into play here. Anything with complicated shader based materials may need to be entirely re-skinned using framework compatible materials before importing into Flash.

  • FAQ: How can I create a scrolling gallery of images?

You can use Flash Catalyst to create galleries, for example a scrolling list of thumbnails that display larger images when clicked. Here are some tutorials that explain how:
Create a photo gallery (using list interactions), on the FlashCats blog
Create a data list component -- Don't let the title scare you, a "data list" is a really powerful component to get to know better; it enables creation of very creative visual things like galleries. When you need repeating items, consider using a data list.

    Hi there,
You can create a scroll motion where the image will fade out on scrolling, you need to use the Opacity tab under Scroll Effects Panel.
If you particularly need the image to be blur out, then you need to edit that image in any image editing program and make one copy of that image as blurred, then place both images (actual and blurred) on that page and use scroll motion or fade option to replace images.

  • Can't creat a Web Gallery

I am running Bridge CS4 on windows Vista and when I click "Outpout to web or PDF" I do not get a templete like I used to, to create a web gallery. I did go to  Adobe Bridge Preferences , selected the Startup Scripts panel, and selected Adobe Output Module. I then restarted Bridge but still I do get the template. Sorry, can't do a screen shot since the drop down menu disappears whenever I click on the snipping tool.
I used to be able to do this all the time and have no idea as to what has happened.
Any help would be appreciated .
    Thanks,
    christian

If it worked before and you have made no changes to software or hardware I would try resetting preferences.  Hold down the Ctrl key and start Bridge.  You should get a reset window with 3 options.

  • How can I create an image gallery with "next" buttons?

So I am almost done with my portfolio site (YES!)..now I just need the actual content (the images). My site is written in AS3.
I've watched many tutorials on how to create an image gallery (auto scrolling ones, scrolling ones that require mouse hover, etc etc), but those aren't what I am looking for.
I want a gallery that looks exactly like this one here:
    http://jalbum.net/res/help/integrating-tutorial.html
I have a lot of work to display in my porfolio so there must be arrows at the end of the thumbnails so I can add more stuff. So I am just stumped on how to make the image gallery work with the ability to scroll for more photos with the click of the arrows.
    Any ideas? Thank you.

Watching tutorials and learning from them are two different things.  If you have learned from them you should be able to use what you have learned to devise a gallery such as the one you link to.  If you have learned from them and cannot use what you learned, then you probably need to find/learn more.
If you study the design you linked you should be able to reason out what elements you need to devise... it is not overly complicated.
For the large picture you could have a Loader into which you load whatever image is selected from the thumnails. To get a brief transition you could just set the alpha of the Loader to 0 when an image change is occuring and gradually fade it in after the image has loaded.
The greatest challenge you are likely to face is in getting the thumbnails to advance back and forth depending on which is selected.  All of the thumbs would be placed in a container (movieclip or sprite) and that would be masked so that only a portion of them is visible.
All thumbs that are not selected have their alpha property set to some value less than 1.  Selecting one calls for the file it associates with to be loaded into the Loader.  If the choice happens to lie off screen, then you need to move the movieclip that contains all of the thumbs some set value in the right (+x) or left (-x) direction.
If you want the thumbnails to wrap infinitely then when one leave the thumbnails area for movement in a direction, you need to take that thumb and relocate it to the other end of the thumbs in the container.

  • Can I create an interactive PDF without distributing it?

    Hi guys,
I am very new to this and I have been asked by the development team here at work to play around and create a form. The idea behind this is that we want to be able to create an interactive PDF form that can be saved without uploading it to anywhere by one of our users (as they may not have access to the internet when they are filling out the form). At a later stage the user will need to upload the PDF into our system which will read the form's content and upload that data to the database. Our system is a Java web based back office system.
Likewise - we will also need to pre-populate data into the form if it is present in our database when the form is downloaded for use.
So I am basically looking for some way to change the security settings on the PDF. I know it is possible but I cannot see how to do it and I cannot find any help on how to do it and it's driving me completely insane!

    Hi,
You can do this in LC Designer, but I strongly recommend that you have a look at our summary of restrictions depending on how you deploy your form:
It is available here: https://acrobat.com/#d=3lGJZAZuOmk8h86HCWyJKg and here: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Using_LiveCycle_Forms_in_Acrobat_and_Reader-16518.html
You can send out a form, but if the users have Reader they will not be able to save data that they fill in. They will be able to submit the data, but only as xml.
If you reader enable the form to allow users with Reader to save data, then data connections is turned off.
    Good luck,
    Niall

  • Can you create a web gallery from Stacks?

    Hi.
I have several stacks totalling 108 images.
How do I create a web gallery that shows the images, not the picks from Stacks? Is that even possible?
    Thanks,
    Scott

I would keyword the stacks in question then build either an Album or a Project from the keyworded images, and a web gallery from that.

  • How can I create an HTML gallery for video? (in Lightroom..?)

    Hi,
I use Lightroom for photography and am able to create HTML and Flash web galleries using the Web module.  I find this very useful. However, my day job requires I shoot video and needs a way to create HTML galleries that will play video (.mov) files when the thumbnail image is clicked.  I can import the videos to LR and it creates the gallery happily but only goes as far as showing the thumbnail image. It doesn't handle the video at all it seems.
Is there a way to do this? If not in LR, in Bridge or something else?
    Many thanks

    You may need JavaScript/HTML5.
The landscape is changing for video including 14k as an advance on 1080p.
LR6 may have some advances, when launched although unlikely to usurp Premiere Pro/After Effects/Speed Grade.

  • Can't create web photo gallery with modified RAW files

I can use CS-2 to create a web photo gallery using unmodified RAW files, this seems to work fine.
However, after I tweak the exposure of a RAW file and a .xmp file has been created, if I try to create a web photo gallery, the program goes through the motions but no thumbnails or (bigger) jpg files are created. The resulting web photo gallery pages are just filled with broken link icons.
    What's up?
    Windows 2000
    Photoshop CS-2
    Cannon RAW files (.CR2 extensions)
    Thanks,
    Mark

I believe it may be to do with the sidecar files. My girlfriend has similar issues on Windows XP.
I have tried to recreate the problem here (on Mac OSX) but it all works fine for me, so i can't fully test it, but here is what i believe may be happening....
The sidecar file has the same name as the actual raw file (except the extension of course), so when the web gallery script is processing it, it does the raw file, then overwrites by trying to process the xmp file as an image, but of course it can't and then you end up with no image file in your thumbnail, or image directories in the web gallery for that image.
    Two options you can try...
    1) go into bridge and select the images to process in there (xmp files shouldn't show up there) and then use the Tools/Photoshop menu to access the WGB and choose 'Selected Bridge Images' as the source. (this has been tested successfully on win xp)
    2) in the camera raw plugin, go into preferences and change the 'sidecar xmp' option to 'camera raw database'. You will then probably need to delete any sidecar files for the folder you wish to process and reapply your raw adjustments. If the problem is what i suspect (as above) this should also work, though i haven't been able to test.
Obviously you don't need to worry about the 'down rezzing' mentioned above as the web gallery builder should already be doing this for you...unless you changed it.

  • How can I create an interactive form in Captivate 5?

    Hello...
I'm creating a Captivate project for an elearning course that will be posted to an LMS.  I'd like to create an "Action Plan" at the end where users can click various actions they want (from a list) and then print that page to use as a take-away reference.  Is this possible in Captivate 5?  Are there other programs that could create this function and then be dropped into Captivate?  I don't need to track the results, just have the interaction on the page.
Appreciate any help y'all can give!
    Lisa

Hmmmm...I don't have any screen shots yet....it's in the planning stages.  But, think of it like a grocery list.  You would have a list of items already identified and each would have a checkbox or something next to it.  You could go down the list and click next to each item you want to purchase on your next grocery visit.  You would then be able to print a screen copy of the list showing the items you checked (unchecked items could still appear on the print copy as long as you could clearly see your chosen items).
Hope that helps!  Thanks for inquiring...

  • Can I create an interactive checkbox?

I am creating a catalog of world paper money in InDesign, and exporting this catalog to PDF.
I would like it if collectors could open the PDF and toggle the setting of a checkbox to indicate if they own a particular note
Right now I have checkbox characters in InDesign, but these are treated no differently than any other text character in Acrobat.
So my question is if there's any way that I can replace the checkbox text character in InDesign with something that will function as an interactive checkbox that toggles between empty and checked states when clicked in Acrobat?
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

But you do want them to be able to save the PDF with the boxes checked so they show on screen the next time they view it? I'm a little shaky on forms (and I'm pretty sure this is an Acrobat form as soon as you add the checkbox), but unless it is "Reader-enabled" I don't think they can save the states of the checkboxes, and you should check the licensing restrictions.
I think you'll be OK, because if memory serves you can distribute as many as you want if you don't collect more than three hundred, but you should definitely double-check to be sure. I ran into a problem with this and an application form at the local community college. We couldn't post it as a PDF on the college website and take electronic submissions for automated processing because we had to be able to receive an unlimited number of applications, and the college wasn't willing to invest in the additional software and licensing to allow that.

  • Can I create an interactive page w/ CS4?

I have Creative Suite 4 Design Premium and am currently learning via Lynda.com and using the programs - I have fair to pretty good knowledge of all of them but Flash. I've been asked to create a 3d interactive page for a friend, in which the viewer clicks on objects within a room and they move and open up other pages. Perhaps the viewer could click on a book within a shelf and the book would slide out and open up.
I know I can learn fast, but I'm beginning to wonder if I have the tools to do this project. My computer does not have the proper video card to make 3d objects in photoshop.
My friend showed me http://www.jimcarrey.com/. I'm pretty sure he's not looking for me to do something quite as ellaborate - I hope not. I'm looking at something more like http://www.chrisvanallsburg.com/home.html. Can I do that much, sketching 2d objects in illustrator and/or photoshop, perhaps giving them something of a 3d feel, then making them move with flash?
Or should I tell my friend right now that I can't help him?
I'd really appreciate some good advice. If you know of other tutorials than the ones I'm using, that would be a great bonus.
    Thanks.

  • Can you create a interactive slide rule as an interactive PDF in InDesign?

I'm trying to create an slide rule tool as an interactive PDF (or swf if need be). So an object needs to be able to be selected and dragged vertically with a mask above it. I created this years ago in flash but ActionScript 2.0 no longer works and an interactive PDF would be a better format.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I think it would be best to create it in InDesign and export as a swf. Do you know if is there a script I could use drag the objects InDesign? Below is a link to the old swf created with ActionScript 2.0. I was just trying to avoid having to recreate it with Actionscript 3.0. Also, I placed the old one in InDesign and exported as an interactive PDF, and it worked. FYI
Here is a link of the current swf:
