Hi Gurus,
I am aware BEX queries can access NearLine Storage data for reporting but can Business Objects Web Intelligency reports access NearLine Storage data Via BICS connection ( Bex Query as a Source).

I would recommend to let your SAP Basis guys do a security trace on the SAP BW side and see if some authorization check for the user fails when trying to fetch data over the universe.

I am calculating OTD SLA metrics using the Business Object Web Intelligence, but I am stuck with the WorkDay() how to use this in BO, as it is available in Excel. Requirement is that I need to add business days (Saturdays and Sundays should not be considered) to a particular date. Business Objects 3.1 reports are not working with IE 10.

Hi,
Recently I upgraded my internet explorer to IE10.. Since then business objects 3.1 reports are not opening in IE10.0
Getting error message "webpage can't be found".
I am not sure whether BO 3.1 reports work with IE 10.0 or not.
Please advise

Did you try with other browsers ?
IE 10 (Compatibility View display mode) with Oracle Java 6 / Oracle Java 7 is supported for BOXI3.1 SP6.
Please check the PAM for details of your SP level.

Web Intelligent Reporting Server not started

Hi Experts - I am using BO XI 3.1 with Sp - 2 and SAP BI 7.10.
When i run any webi report the Status of Web Intelligent Reporting Server become - Initializing.
If i restarts the the SIA , Again the Webi Intelligent server got start , but as i run any webi query in webi rich client it stops working and the status in CCM become Initialising... and its never turn up green untill i again restarts the SIA.
Is this a bug in Sp -2 , I haven't apply ant fix pack beyond Sp-2.

Hi
can you please activate the tracing of the webi processing server. Go to the CMC and under Servers->Web Intelligence Processing Server->Properties just add -trace xl in the command line argument and restart the server. Check the WebI log file created in the logging directory for error messages.

What SAP Business Objects Web Services to use with XI3.0

I'm new to BO and is tasked to install it.
What I've installed already is the BOE XI3.0 version and now want to install Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise.
What I can not figure out from the Xcelsius manual or SDN or OSS is what the Business Objects Web Services are the manual instructs you to install with Xcelsius.
I did find something called
BusinessObjects Web Services XI for Windows and downloaded it but is not sure if this is what I need to install as the business Object Web Services on XI 3.0
Can someone please direct me in the correct direction

Hi,
i am not sure if i understand your question. If you mean Query as a Webservice (QaaWS), this component should be part of your XI 3.0 Enterprise installation. You could also use the flynet (www.flynet.co.uk) which is part of Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP1.

How to deploy business objects web services on tomcat

Hi everyone can anyone tell how i need to deploy business objects web services on tomcat, i installed business objects on unix server.what r the steps i need to follow in order to deploy web services on business objects. this web services must be called by a java program externally, that the reason i am deploying web services.
i downloaded business objects web services portal sample zip file. the wssdkj2eeportal directory is created with ant_scripts,src, dsws.config and wsportalassemblyscripts.bat.
i am trying to configure the dsws.config, by modifying it to

Can Business Object Access Queries from the BI query designer?

I've started working with BOBJ and honestly I'm not impressed with it's functionalities, specially with the report layouts (SO many limitations!!). Anyway I was wondering if Business Objects can access BI Queries in the Query Designer since I can do most of the manupilation in Query Designer that I need. You might take a look at the very latest version of the Crystal Reports Viewer. It might have been added to the report designer as well, but I don't have the latest SP/FP of it yet. CR Viewer 2008 can be downloaded from SAP at no cost and can coexist on PC with the CR designer.

There's a new beta feature -a little button ( magnifying glass and chart, labeled beta) that lets you export the Crystal Report data to a demo of "Explorer in the Cloud". It's pretty cool, but is limited to 3MB of data. You can load your data to the demo Explorer in the Cloud anonymously, in which case the data is seleted when you end your session, or you can setup an acct (no cost) and have the data retained.
