Can clone be set to sample the original targeted area with every click (regardless of location)?

Can the clone be set to sample the original targeted area over and over again regardless of x/y coordinates? it currently pins the original area to the result- it won't let me apply the targeted area in various locations (unless I target the specific area after every click). I am used to GIMP, where this is default... Thanks

That sounds horrible. There are a number of reasons it could occur.
The first thing to do is ensure you have adequate backups, because what you describe can be a symptom of impending disk failure.
To help determine the possible causes of this behaviour read the following. None of what follows is intended to fix anything, but it will provide the additional information required to advance troubleshooting. There are four separate parts to it; read everything first.
Boot OS X Recovery by holding ⌘ and r (two fingers) while you start your Mac. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
When it finishes restart your Mac and test again for operation. If it's still not behaving as you expect it should, please post the results of EtreCheck in accordance with the following instructions:

EtreCheck was designed to remove any personal information (such as your computer's name and serial numbers) but if you see anything that looks like an email address or any other personal information that should not be divulged to others, please delete or obscure that information when you post the reply.
When you are finished with EtreCheck, quit the program. It occupies very little space, and you can keep it or drag it to the Trash as you wish.
After completing the above please determine if the problems also occur in "Safe Mode":
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.
System performance problems for reasons that cannot be isolated to any other cause justify an SMC reset. Be sure to read the procedure carefully and follow all the steps exactly as written, even if they seem inapplicable or trivial.

I was not complete clear.
Since you never changed the settings in the advanced section of iTunes preferecnes, you have to chech that your music is really in the location setted in the folders reported in the advanced section. If not you have 2 ways: reset the position of this folders or in the actual disk organisation or in the pointing on the preferences.
If you press the reset button you just give to itunes its default setting as for the position of the music files: probably this will be a good choice if you have never changed any default preference.
But before I would check the folders and see if the songs are really there

Software applications are usually installed in the Applications folder on the Macintosh HD and are accessible to all users.
I would advise you to check the Applications folder and see if your software is in there.
Next step would be to Control Click or Right Click on the application and choose "Get Info" and make sure the permissions are set to "Read & Write" for all users. The article below provides more details:

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? The five number is the number of computers that can authorized to use a single iTunes account. You can syncan unlimited number of iDevices t one iTunes account. You need to find one of the five computer that you not longer want authorized for the iTunes account and then deauthorize that computer. If you computer crashes and you have to reinstall the operating system the "old" installation still remains authorized. To cover that case Apple allows you to deauthorize all computer one a year so then you can authorize the needed computers. See:

Sorry, you can't. If your phone is carrier locked, you will need a sim card from that carrier, to activate it.
