Can contacts groups be shared?

Trying to share multiple contacts with parent (novice user) - is there a way to share a group?

 Hi,
  Thanks for Posting.
Affinity groups are a way you can group your cloud services by proximity to each other in the Azure datacenter in order to achieve optimal performance. When you create an affinity group, it lets Azure know to keep all of the services
that belong to your affinity group as physically close to each other as possible. For example, if you want to keep the services running your data and your code together, you would specify the same affinity group for those cloud services. They would then run
on hardware that is located close together in the datacenter. This can reduce latency and increase performance, while potentially lowering costs.
Affinity groups are defined at the subscription level and currently it is not possible to share the same affinity group across subscriptions.

  • Email a sharable contact group

    Hello,
    scenario: Exchange 2010 SP3
    Outlook 2010 SP1
A user created a contact group and shared it with a bunch of internal users. These users see the contact group in their outlook profile. One of these users would like to email to this shared contact group. He opens up a new email and tries to find the sharable
group. He is unable to. He chooses address book and looks into his contacts and nothing there.
Is it possible to email a sharable contact group in outlook 2010? If so how?
    Alexis

    Hi Alexis,
Please drag and drop the shared contact group from Shared Contacts folder to the contact of My Contacts folder. Then the shared contact group would be copied to the user's own contact folder and can be selected from Address Book for send messages.

  • Sending to a shared contact group with subgroups fail

    Hello all,
I am hoping someone can help me with this one, as I have researched non stop and cannot find an answer.
    SCENARIO:
Outlook 2010 (with all the latest updates)
    Exchange 2010
    Windows 7 x64
We are a group of 15 users. All 15 of us add a shared mailbox used for communications into our Outlook client so we can access and monitor the entire mailbox, including contacts.
When trying to send a communication to a Contact group that is in the shared mailbox contacts, it will work fine unless there is another contact group within that group (subgroup).  The email will bounce back with the following error:
[email protected] #550 5.4.4 ROUTING.NoConnectorForAddressType; unable to route for address type ##
If you send to a contact group with a subgroup from your own local contacts, it works fine.
If you send to a contact group without a subgroup, it works fine.
If you log directly into the shared mailbox and send from there, it works fine.
This issue appears ONLY to occur when sending to a contact group that has a subgroup within it from a shared contact list.
Based on my investigation, it appears that Outlook is trying to look for the subgroups within the local contact list, not the location of the actual contact group itself. Perform the following steps:
Add an additional (or shared) mailbox to your Outlook profile.
In the shared mailbox contact list, create 2 contact groups. (Test 1 and Test 2).
Add Test 2 into the Test 1 group. In Test 2 group, create/add a contact. (This may easiest be done by the shared mailbox itself)
Ensure you are logged into your original profile, and Right click the Test 1 group and Create->Email.
You will notice right away if you expand the Test 1 group, it will show up Test 2 (Unknown) and if you try and double click Test 2 to see it's properties, it says it cannot find it. If you perform this same step while logged into the shared mailbox directly,
it is able to locate the contact.
Any information I have found on this bounceback references a bug where a link in an email who try to send to a contact using MAILTO instead of SMTP. However, this is not the scenario I am in.
It is currently not feasible to have everyone add all these contact groups into their own contact list, as these groups change all the time.
If anyone has any ideas how this could be fixed, or have maybe other suggestions of how to use and access groups with subgroups for communications without logging into the shared mailbox, that would be great. We are unable to login to the shared mailbox
directly anymore as we are doing away with shared passwords.
    Thanks all

    Hello,
How did you select the recipients when composing email? Did you click the To button and select it from the Address Book or use the auto-complete list? If you select from the auto-complete list, please try deleting the contact group from the auto-complete
    list and then test again.
In addition, since the bounceback error is similar to the MAILTo bug, we may try to install the hotfix to take a chance.

Everything that you have checked in your icloud settings will be shared between devices using the same Apple ID.  If you don't want icloud to share that information, then simply turn off that process under settings > icloud

  • How can I specify which contacts group is my preferred/default for my iPhone?

Similar situation as others I've seen...
My wife and I share an iTunes account.  We also use that account for our iCloud account.  We want to share our calendar(s) with each other.  We enjoy having access to the number of contact groups we've put together over the years.
I want to be able to designate one of the contact groups as my default reference for my iPhone so that when I recieve messages and calls they are recognized by the identifiers in my phone's contacts list (not as if they are my wife's contacts).  Sure, we could set up multiple iCloud accounts...  We feel we shouldn't have to, besides, that wouldn't allow us to share our calenders and contacts anymore.  It seems to my that the most "Apple" way of fixing this would be to have a "Settings" option in the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" - particularly in the "Contacts" grouping to have a "Primary Contacts Group" (if more than one is detected) option to choose from.
Is this something that can be done or do I need to submit this as a requested future feature to something like the Apple Bug Reporter?
    Thanks all!

Is there a way to specify which network card (IP
address) that the jvm will use as default? (Whenever
opening a connection such as URL.openConnection,
sockets without specifying the local address etc.)No there isn't, but if you are only talking about outbound connections and the network cards are on distinct subnets, unicast routing will ensure that the most appropriate outbound NIC is used for the target IP address, so configure your firewall accordingly.

  • How can i move my contacts into different contact groups on my ipad

i have created contact groups on my ipad through icloud, i now want to move contacts into different groups, but can't work out how to do it!! any help would be appreciated.

If you have a Mac, create the groups in Address book application.
You can also log into icloud.com and create the groups there. They will sync to your iPad.

hei , i was window user an just switched to ipone 6 , can i merge my contacts group from windows to IOS ? please quide

Right, I finally managed to get it sorted out.
iCloud only accept version 3.0 vcards, and the one I was using were version 2.1 so that's why it wasn't picking it up. So the easy way to get that sorted out is, use a gmail account.
I know you don't wanna do it because you think it's too much hassle and stuff, but trust me it only takes 5 minutes and that's it.
    1. Create a Gmail Account.
    2. Export your Old VCard files to the Gmail Account.
    3. Now Import them from Gmail to your PC again.
And, that's it, that's just makes the new imported version in 1 file contains your all contacts in version 3.0. Now you can just upload that on icloud and then sync it with your iphone.
That's what I did and it worked, and I am sure if you wanna replace this file in the Contacts folder under your User Account in Windows and then try to sync Contacts in Tunes, it should work, but as I said, I did it with iCloud and it worked for me. So aye, that's pretty much it. Phewwww..
Been searching for it for the whole day and it took 5 minutes in the end, badass...
Anyway, don't lose hope and always Google for everything!

  • Can't modify/delete Outlook 2010 Contact Group

I've got a user who created a new Contact Group in Outlook 2010 and now can't modify or delete the group.  Other groups she's created before or since do not exhibit this behavior.  Also, when you bring up the properties of the group, the window
looks different than the other groups and the icon in the top left of the window just has the card with no people in front of it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
A Contact Group, known in previous Outlook versions as a distribution list, is a grouping of e-mail addresses collected under one name. A message sent to a Contact Group goes to all recipients listed in the
group. You can include Contact Groups in messages, task requests, meeting requests, and in other Contact Groups.

  • How can I group contacts on iPad Air

Must be missing the obvious, I am having trouble trying to work out creating a group of contacts. I have them created in Outlook, but for some reason cannot import/Sync with my iPad. My contacts came in fine from outlook, but not the group. I am trying to update iTunes on my PC and it fails, so I figure that may be the problem. Any suggestions welcome.

You are not doing anything wrong. Unfortunately, you cannot import groups or create groups in the built in mail app on the iPad. You can create groups in iCloud.com and sync those groups to your iPad, but you still cannot email to those groups with the built in mail app.
There are third party email apps that will allow you to create groups and email to them.

  • I have Lion and I have an iPad.  The contacts on the two machines are not properly linked using iCloud (I can create groups and add names, but sometimes the names are not updated between the machines)

The problem I am seeing is that there are contacts on the iPad that are not showing up on the Mac

On the iPad, look in contacts and see if you have more than one group.  If it says "all contacts" on the top and there is no red slash to chose lists, then you have just one group.  If you see the slash and can choose contact groups, then obviously you have more than one.  You probably have a mail account on the iPad setup for contacts and iCloud also setup for contacts.
Go to that mail account on your computer and export those contacts to a vCard file, and import that to iCloud contacts (using the web interface for each).  Now with one list, turn contacts off for that account on your iPad so you don't see duplicates.

  • Can I make a paper group address list from a Contacts group list?

I can't find a way to do this now. It used to be a simple thing -- with the aid of  a third party app--  to print all pertinent info for members of a Contact group in an compact list.
Anyone know how to do this, or how to post such info into the Cloud?
    TIA

    From Contacts help:
    Print information
Select one or more contacts or a group. If contacts in a group have multiple email addresses, street addresses, or phone numbers, you can choose which to use.  Select addresses for group members  Choose File > Print. Choose the print style from the Style pop-up menu, and then set related options. If you don’t see the Style pop-up menu, click Show Details.  Mailing labels: Click Layout and choose a label type from the Page pop-up menu. To set page margins and gutter space between labels, and how many labels to print per page, choose Define Custom. Click Label and choose the address to print from the Addresses pop-up menu (for example, print a label for each contact’s home address). Use other Label options to specify the print order, include a company for business mailings or a country for international mailings, or add a graphic.  Envelopes: Click Layout and choose the envelope type from the Layout pop-up menu. If you’re using a non-standard envelope size, choose Define Custom, and then enter the dimensions. Click Label and specify whether to include your return address. Choose the contact address to print from the Addresses pop-up menu (for example, print a label for each contact’s home address). Use other Label options to choose the print order, include a company for business mailings or a country for international mailings, or to add a graphic to the envelopes.  To choose the direction in which to feed the envelopes into the printer, click Orientation.  Lists: Select the paper size and orientation, and then use the Attributes list to select which fields to include. Pocket Address Book: Select the paper size and orientation, and then use the Attributes list to select which fields to include. Choose between the indexed and compact formats using the Flip Style option. Show Tips for printing a pocket book
I haven't tried it because I don't use groups. I hope this helps.
