Can Creative Cloud subscribers enable social sharing?

Hello,
I'd like to be able to link to a web view of a DPS folio that I've published. I've read this article about enabling social sharing for DPS folios, but I the "Account Administration" tab is greyed out in my Folio Builder, so I can't access the part where I can enable web viewer. As a Creative Cloud subscriber, do I have access to this?
Thanks.

No. Social Sharing is only available for Multi-Issue Apps, thus only DPS Professional and Enterprise Customers can enable Social Sharing.

  • In what ways will Creative Cloud subscribers benefit from Adobe's purchase of Fotolia?

I read an article linked below on Adobe's purchase of Fotolia and initially was excited.  But as I continued reading, I found that Fotolia is not planned to be a free service to Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers. Subscriber will have to pay for images and video just as they would with any other stock image/video service.  My question is, as an Adobe Creative Cloud user, why would I cancel my current stock image/video service and decide to use Fotolia?
Thank you for taking the time to address my concern.
Adobe to Acquire Fotolia: Adds Stock Content Marketplace to Creative Cloud

I would guess that maybe there will be integration between CC’s new Library function and Fotolia’s systems, perhaps Adobe wants to use their content management to actually host CC’s library content or maybe they just want Fotolia images to show up in the CC Library area.  Or maybe there won’t be any integration and they are just diversifying their revenue stream.

  • Can Creative Cloud be installed on a virtual machine?

Can Creative Cloud be installed on a virtual machine?

    What do you mean?
Some people with a Mac prefer to use the Windows version of Adobe software, so they install a Windows emulator on their Mac to then run Windows software
If you are asking about installing on a network server... the answer is NO... the programs are made to install on individual computers

I'm trying to share a folder between users on a single mac.  I want both users to be able to read and write so the folder stays current on both accounts.  I put the folder in "shared," set permissions on folder so other user can read and write, enabled file sharing, but can't find the folder on the second user's account.  Any help?

Did you log out of one account and into the other or just used Fast user switching?
Is the permissions set to anyone?
When you move data to teh Shared folder is it copied or just moved?
If copied then it's not a folder both can access, just a way station like a USB thumb drive that things are coped too and off of likely.
You can run this #5 on each user account to reset the user permissions once they are taken back out of the Shared folder

Yes, as long as your machine meets the system requirements for Creative Cloud.

  • Can Creative Cloud apps be installed on a non-boot drive?

Can Creative Cloud apps be installed on a non-boot drive? If so, how? I want to install on a different drive on my current system because my boot drive (an SSD) is rather full.

Since I have an SSD drive with rather limited capacty, I did this, and it sort of worked. The Creative Cloud did not give me an option of where to install it. As soon as it installed, I did as instructed above and changed the default. However, Photoshop started installing immediately after I installed the Creative Cloud and did not ask if I wanted to install it. However, it installed correctly in the drive I stipulated in preferences. Photoshop did not install a shortcut onto my desktop, but I had to create one manually.
I noticed that certain items still installed on my SSD. There is an Adobe folder under Programs on the C drive, and there is also an Adobe folder in my SSD under Users.
The only other place I discovered to direct files is in the Photoshop preferences for where to store my scratch files.

Can Creative Cloud membership be paid by the year instead of monthly?

    Hi Dlwyer,
Not currently, closest option is buying a prepaid card from an Adobe authorized reseller, Amazon, BestBuy, Fry's Electronics, etc.
    Here is an example

Not the desktop products. You can go here https://creative.adobe.com/products and choose a specific products and then look at the System Requirements.
From the iPad you can use the Touch apps Ideas and Photoshop Touch. Also you can view your uploaded files from the browser.

  • Can Creative Cloud alert me when a client leaves a comment on uploaded / sync'd artwork?

As above really, Can Creative Cloud alert me when a client leaves a comment on uploaded / sync'd artwork? When clients comment on files at the moment I get no notification of the comment I have to check the files manually which is an extra step in our work flow and not ideal.
    Thanks

  • How will the scheduled changes in DPS affect Creative Cloud Subscribers effective May 01, 2015?

I would think that with Adobe's public announcement to retire DPS SE, the company would have the courtesy to inform its Creative Cloud subscribers, who seemingly will be affected, of the impact the change will have on them. I am calling on Adobe to address its customers concerns without further delay.

Here are two threads to look at:
The end of DPS Single Edition
What is going on with DPS?
Single Edition, SE, apps are available to CC members until 1 May 2015. These apps will remain on the App store but will be unable to be updated after 1 May 2015. That means they will not run on any new version of iOS.
There is now one DPS license. Pricing is done on a per client basis. Click the request for consultation link in Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS pricing options to receive a price estimate for your projects.
The alternatives to using DPS are using a competing product (outlined in the threads above), using a tool such as PhoneGap (html5, css, javascript hybrid app) or Appcelerator Titanium (native development), learn/hire/contract a developer for native development, and fixed-layout epub.
Others have suggested partnering with someone who was a top tier license to continue to keep your apps current.

  • Can Creative Cloud members pass on or sell old versions of CS?

As I am now a Creative Cloud subscriber, can I pass on or sell old versions of Ceative Suite (CS4) on CD?

Yes, if you're a Cloud member, you can definitely pass on or sell your Creative Suite perpetual license software.
Follow the license transfer procedure to complete the sale
    Transfer an Adobe product license
Just bear in mind that if you ever cancel your Cloud membership, or allow it to expire, then you'll be left with no software to use. There will be no fall back available to you. If you're OK with that then go for it.

  • Can creative cloud be used with intermittent internet connections?

    Hi,
I have a number of clients that like to "work on the ice" if you know what I mean. They ar eall ice fishermen or work in that industry. Can CC be used with intermittent internet connections?
    Thanks,
           Van

    Hi Van,
I copied this from the Creative Cloud FAQ:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html
Do I need ongoing Internet access to use my Adobe® Creative Cloud™ desktop applications?
No. Your Creative Cloud desktop applications (such as Adobe® Photoshop® and Illustrator®) are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis.
An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your desktop apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.
For annual members, you can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode. Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode.
    Hope that helps,
    -Dave

  • What legacy software can Creative Cloud software save as?

I am thinking of Signing up for Creative Cloud, however I still need to be able to save files to older versions of software.
How far back can the CS6 versions save to?

You need to understand the concept of the file format  , there are certain file format like PSD , TIFF, BMP, HTML etc which are universal file format.
You can open these file format in any version of Adobe software or Non-Adobe software which supports them.
However there are few file format like INDD , AI etc which need to be saved or exported specifically from there native application , to open them in older version.
The procedure of back-saving and exporting varies with applications.
hence you need to refer to the help files of these applications to understand the capabities of the applications
