Can CS3.0 software run on a Windows 8 64 system?

I just bought a new computer -- it runs Windows 8 (64 bits). I would like to install my CS3.0 Design Premium software.  Will it run on this system?  Is there anything special that I need to know before installing it?
A second question -- I also have a CS5.0 Design Premium license.  Unfortunately my previous computer died.  I am taking it to the shop.  I was able to deactivate the software, before turning off the computer the last time.  However, I can't find my program disc to install it on this machine.  I called Adobe, to see if I could get a replacement disc, but they say they no longer have any of those discs.  They suggest I call a retailer.  If anyone has a suggestion of what I can do, I would appreciate it.  (I saw on the internet that if you have a license, you can download a trial version of the software, then activate it with your own serial number.  Is there any place that I can still do that?  Thanks for your help.  I really hate to have to buy a whole new version of the programs, since I just bought them 18 months ago.

First for Creative Suite 3 Design Premium you are welcome to attempt the installation.  It has not been tested in anyway by Adobe.  Feel free to respond to this thread if you receive any error messages.  Please do be aware though that there may not be a solution as Windows 8 was not even developed when Creative Suite 3 was released.
Finally to locate the installation files for Creative Suite 5 please see http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html.

  • Can Crystal Server 2011 run on a Windows 2012, R2 server?

    Hey,
I purchased Crystal Server 2011 in April 2013.  Unfortunately, due to a heavy workload I'm just now ready to install it in a test environment.  Will Crystal Server 2011 run on a Windows 2012, R2 server?

If you update your CR Server to SP 5, then yest, it is supported on WIN 2012.
    See the PAM.
To get SP5 you will have to loin to the SAP Market Service Place.

Is there a PDF Restriction Remover for Adobe Reader version 10 running on on a Windows 7 operating system?

To remove a password, you would have Acrobat (not Reader). Go to File > Properties, set No Security. Enter the password when prompted.

  • Can Cisco IME software run on desktop without admin privileges?

I do workstation support and our network administrators do not have admin on their Windows 7 workstations, is there a way to install the CISC IPS Manager Express and have it run without needing admin permissions on the desktop? I thought I had it working (with shims and Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit) then it said it needed the admin permissions for making the SQL connection.
Please let mw know why this application requires admin and if there is a work around.
    Thank you!

I'm afraid I have no personal experience with what you're attempting to do...
All I can remember is that Full Admin rights were supposed to be granted to the user account during the entire installation of Palm Desktop, and a successful HotSync performed.  Whether the check-out routine is doing this is beyond me.
Once the above is complete, the rights can be revoked back to "User".

  • Is there an iPhoto software available for a Windows XP operating system?

I downloaded 85 photos into my 20GB (4th Generation)iPod (software version 3.1.1)today via an iPod card reader. When I came home to transfer them to my Windows XP system I discovered that I can't do it. There's an icon for movies, but not photos. I haven't tried, nor do I need to transfer movies into my iPod library.
Well, when I clicked on <Help>, I think I found out that I would need a Mac system. So now I've logged into this forum to see if any of you out there know of any possible way to make my iPod work with Window to transfer and store photos. By the way, I don't know how to find my computer's model number.
    Thank you for your time.

  • Trouble running LPC on windows 7 64bit system

downloaded OK, on expanding the zip file I get an error message - looking for cxcell100.dll.  I looked around and it was part of the zip file - do not know what to do about this - I am assuming that the OS verison I have needs another than what was specified- there are other dlls there too - maybe trouble with them as well.
So maybe I am jumping to conclusions - any bright folks out there who can help me out?

    HI Michael,
The "missing" cvcore100.dll is included in the zip package. Make sure that you have unzipped everything. Other than that, if you are still running into issues, your OS might be missing the required Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries. You can get it from the Microsoft site,

I have an original version of Photoshop CS3.  I run Windows 7 32 bit.  After an update of the operating system by MS, my Photoshop refused to work, whereas before the MS update, the software worked perfectly.  Please help.  Ernst

    Dear Sir,
I have an original version of Photoshop CS3. I run Windows 7 (32 bit) on my PC.  After a recent (±2 months ago) update/upgrade by Microsoft of Windows 7 (32 bit) on my PC, I lost all functionality of the Photoshop software despite the fact that I have been running Photoshop CS3 on Windows 7 for the past 2 years without any problems. I uninstalled the software from my PC and tried to re-install it again.  It would not re-install.  After I press the software “setup” function to install the software, a window appears and a blue band runs across it, but then everything disappears from the screen again without leaving any message as to why the software would not install.
I have been informed by Adobe Helpdesk that Photoshop CS3 does not run on the Windows 7 OS.  Due to previous experience that Photoshop CS3 had in fact run on my PC on Windows 7, I find it totally strange that I could not install the software again.
In fact the, same version of Photoshop CS3 is currently running without any problems on my laptop under Windows 7 (64 bit).
    Please help if you can.
    Kind regards,
    Ernst Odendaal

  • How can I get iTunes running on Windows XP as well as a newer laptop running Windows 7 to both recognize my new iPhone 4S?  It seems to work fine with Win 7 PC so far, but not at all with the XP OS separate laptop.

How can I get iTunes running on a Windows XP machine as well as, separately on a newer laptop running Windows 7 to both recognize and sync with my new iPhone 4S?  I have different libraries on each machine which I need to sync with the iPhone, both in iTunes.  It seems to be workiing fine on the Windows 7 machine, but not even reconizing the device at all in iTunes on Windows XP.
    Thank you for your assistance.

Hi turingtest2 - thanks for the reply. As you say It is how it is - and I have three workstations in this home (not counting three for my children and one for the family) and I pretty much always have more than one OS on each - that's how it is for me. I shouldn't have to worry about how many OSs I have (or how often I change them) just to have music while I'm working - through the PC sound system that is. I never have to worry about any other software, only iTunes. Once in a while (in the past) I've made a vendor call if I changed to many things to often (like CPU, GPU, memory, etc - or even a replacement MB) - but that hasn't happened in a couple years (at least since Vista) so I think (hope) they have fixed that for good. And even then it was a quick call and problem resolved. The only (glaring) constant problem is iTunes - limiting my own use of my own music (by counting an OS as a physical PC). Even with VM (which is just another OS) - although you can Attach things to multiple active OSs - it's still your own (purchased) music - and all on one PC. Thanks again!

  • Xcode 4 - Can xcode 4 run on a windows os

    Hi,
Can xcode 4 be run on a Windows OS. If so does anyone have any links or instuctions how.

No.  Xcode is Mac OS X only.  You can use cross platform development tools like Mono Touch, Marmalade, Shiva etc. to develop Mac/iOS applications on Windows, but you will eventually need a Mac with Xcode if you wish to publish to the app stores.
