Can cutomer with their Primary user ID run reports?
Hi,
Can customer with their user ID and password run reports in iStore?
Thanks and regards,
Ashish Indapawar
Hello Ashish,
You may meet some of your requirements by making customizations to the Order Tracker. Guidelines are in this document:
How can the iStore Order Tracker include additional fields? (Doc ID 334385.1)
This is the only reporting within the iStore Customer UI.
Otherwise, you need to run the reports via the Oracle Applications and give the user access to the application responsibility.
Regards,
Debbie

Is anyone else having issues with their I Phone 5 running ios 6.1?
As stated above: Is anyone else having issues with their I Phone 5 running ios 6.1?
I am having issues with the WiFi connection to my AT&T router and voice recognition.
It wont make post to Facebook half of the time. It is lacking the option to post videos to Facebook, only to mail, message, and You Tube. And finally the voice recognition messes up what it types in both Siri and messages.Not having any of those.

Changed to secure - can connect with mac but not pc running vista
I changed my wrt54gs from unsecured to secure by changing the wireless > wireless security > to security mode: WPA personal, the wpa algorithms is set to TKIP, i set up a password in the shared key area and the group key is set to 3600. I saved the changes and now i can connect with the password with a macbook pro as well as with a ipod touch but i cant connect with a laptop running windows vista. I would get an error saying unable to connect, funny thing is though i am connect (and it is the correct router, not a neighbors) but it says connected with limited access. I tried to run diagnostics and repair but to no avail. Any thoughts on what to door is limited access ok?
thanks,
DaveTry this :
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Network and Sharing Center >> Manage Wireless Networks, here remove all the networks present and close the Window...
Click on Connect to a Network and try to re-connect to your Network, it should ask for your Network Key/Password, enter the correct password/network key and click Connect...
It should connect...Once you are connected you should restart the computer, it should connect to Internet... -

Configure ePortfolio for Crystal Reports 9 Report Application Server for Users to Run Reports
Post Author: lacc
CA Forum: Crystal Reports
Sorry for this basic question but Crystal 9 is no longer supported and I am having trouble finding any documentation about how to configure ePortfolio let alone obtain any help from Crystal support.
I have a set of .RPT files and would like the simplest and quickest method of distribution to the users with as little coding and fuss as possible.
We have the ePortfolio page up and running but the users can only view the reports from ePortfolio. They also need to be able to run (refresh) the reports and enter the parameters which have already been built into the .RPT file. Providing access to the deactivated Schedule and History links would also be useful though not a priority unlike access to refresh and enter parameters.
I usually create reports to run from within an application which I can handover to the application developer so working out how to distribute via this method is pretty new to me.
I've also had a quick look at the Crystal Reports Viewer XI which appears to be backward compatible for Crystal 9 reports however this also appears to only allow users to view, not generate, reports.
Any recommendations? Or could you point me in the direction of some documentation that might assist?Post Author: lacc
CA Forum: Crystal Reports
I think I've worked out that we are actually using ePortfolio Lite. Would anyone be able to confirm if there are any configuration options for ePortfolio Lite? I think we only have the Crystal Reports 9 Advanced version, not Crystal Reports 9 Enterprise. Would this mean that we therefore only have ePortfolio Lite not ePortfolio? -
I give up. I am not a professional developer however I am pretty good at coding. But I have limitations and do not understand how all the pieces fit together when it comes to WCF, LightSwitch and Telerik Reporting service.
I have spent the better part of the past 5 evenings attempting to deploy a WCF service to my azure account to create reports for my application. I know this should be simple but I cannot find an example that ties all the pieces together.
I have a
working lightswitch application deployed to Azure
20+ working telerik reports created in a separate project (Reports have parameters that is one of the problems)
No way to get the two to talk together.
If you have experience and feel you can help me please respond to this post and I will set up some time for us to work together online.
Regards a very frustrated part time developer
Cliff
P.S. Sorry if this is an inappropriate use of the forum but I am at my wits end!(I am not in the running for the 'bounty' just trying to help on the WCF RIA part...)
When you deploy the application to Azure you should be able to hit the WCF RIA Service using:
site/{class name}.svc/
For example if you look at the reports I have in this example:
LightSwitch Survey: Handling
Complex Business Logic Using WCF RIA Services
You can use the live application at the following link: https://survey.lightswitchhelpwebsite.com/HTMLClient (use your
username and password from
LightSwitchHelpWebsite.com)
The call in Fiddler looks like this:
/WCF_RIA_ServiceData.svc/SurveyResults?$filter=(SurveyId%20eq%202)&$top=45&$inlinecount=allpages
This is what your reports should be calling. Can you get this far?

VB 2008, CR component and MS Acc: how to access with database(not user) pwd
These are the detail of the query:
1. MS Access 2003 and later database via OLE DB provide for entry of a u201Cdatabase passwordu201D to provide additional protection.
2. In VB 2005 and in VB2008 environment I have managed to establish a connection with a database password and open recordsets using ADO connection. See code below.
Note. stPassword is user password and stDBPassword is database password with the following code:
With cnn
'set connection string
.ConnectionString "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Password=" & stPassword & ";Data Source=T:\CPI.mdb;User ID=" & stUser & ";Persist Security Info=False;" & "Jet OLEDB:System database=t:\cpi.mdw;Jet OLEDB:Database Password=" & stDBPassword
.Open()
End With
3. When using Crystal Reports component supplied with VS 2008 I can only provide USER NAME and USER PASSWORD. No information is available how and where to enter DATABASE PASSWORD to the Crystal Reports component. As a result, Crystal Reports Viewer starts to run. Obviously access is denied because no DATABASE PASSWORD has been provided to the component. A common dialog comes up to enter database password.
4. User does not necessarily need know the DATABASE password and I am not interested in providing the database password to every user who runs reports. In this project database password serves as a form of protection from tampering with the database structure and contents through the use MS Access to access the database.
5. Here is the code to demonstrate logon via Crystal Component described above:
Imports CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
Imports CrystalDecisions.Shared
And then in a sub:
Dim cnnInfo As ConnectionInfo = New ConnectionInfo()
'cnnInfo.DatabaseName = cnn.DefaultDatabase
cnnInfo.UserID = stUser
cnnInfo.Password = stPassword
No place to input DATABASE password!!!
Does anyone know how can I input database password or provide a connection string or maybe ADO connection object which is opened within the project code.It seems like it is not possible to set the DB level password with the CR Visual Studio bundled version (as stated in the following KB c2010267). You would need to use the full version, and use the code below:
Symptom
A VB .NET application uses Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET as the reporting development tool.
A report is created that connects to a password protected Microsoft Access Database.
How do you pass a password (for database level security) or a password and user ID (for user level security) at runtime using the different connection methods(Native/ODBC/OLEDB)?
Resolution
To pass the database level password or a user level
userid/password at runtime, use the following code
sample:
'Add the following namespaces to the top of the code
'page
Imports CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
Imports CrystalDecisions.Shared
Dim crReportDocument As New ReportDocument()
Dim crConnectionInfo as New ConnectionInfo
Dim crtableLogoninfo As New TableLogOnInfo()
Dim CrTables As Tables
Dim CrTable As Table
crReportDocument = New CrystalReport1()
With crConnectionInfo
<**Insert code from below depending on the type of
connection and the version of Crystal Reports you are
using**>
End With
CrTables = crReportDocument.Database.Tables
For Each crTable in crTables
crTableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo =
crConnectionInfo
CrTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crTableLogOnInfo)
Next
CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource =
crReportDocument

Server busy, and Primary USER ID
Hi:
I keep getting the SERVER BUSY response. And often, it told me that I need to enter with my PRIMARY USER ID.
More often than not, I am unable to view my video recordings---that the SERVER IS BUSY.
Can someone in Verizon tell us that they are working on this problem?
S Lambobh002 wrote:
This is a common problem that has been going on for months. The server busy problem at least. Some days it records and you can view, some days you get server busy and it has not recorded, let alone being able to view what has been recorded. Has been frustrating us for a very long time.
Yep, I get about 40-50% functionality. I'd hate to think of what would happen if I actually needed a recording.
Lately it's getting worse though. No matter what I try to do, I get the same response:
Warning
We're sorry. The server is temporarily busy. Please try again later. -
A particular network user can't login to a mac in a classrom but other network users can. Then the network user can login to other identical macs in same classroom. Anyone seen this before? It has happen twice. Two different teachers in two different classrooms entering the correct user name and passwords and computer won't allow them to login. Then they try in different computers in same classroom and have no problem login.
Yes. I can login with a test user. And any other network user can login as well to this particular mac. Actually the mac has bootcamp and boots into either mac or windows. The same user entering the same login username and password can login into the windows side, but not the mac side.
I had this same issue last semester in another classroom, another mac and a different teacher. This summer I reformatted and imaged that mac and I asked that teacher to login today to that reimagened mac and she had no problem today doing so. -
Run Reports Builder with a remote WLS
Hi all,
Can somebody know if Oracle Reports Builder 11g can connect with a remote WebLogic 10 server Reports instance?
How can I do that?
Best regards!!!- not sure what you mean by this .
- builder will not connect to wls. for jsp reports development, it copies jsps to wls jsp deployment folder in same domain and runs (ie jsp runs in the wls container).
- yes, rwclient,rwservlet can connect to remote inprocess servers running in wls and can run reports in those reports servers. -
How we can get the current login user information.
Hai Experts,
How we can get the Curren Runnig user, while running the application,
I tried the below one, but it was not working,
Dim s As String
s = objApplication.Company.UserName
Regards,
Saidarao yakkalaHi.
Are you try to get and present current user name in workbook or WAD ?
You may use user exit variable based on sy-uname.
If you run WAD you may use built webitem info_field and show current user name.

I would like to suggest that ABC consider enhancing the Reports section to allow users to run reports on the Media Download items. I have a client that is interested in tracking their download activity of whitepapers and brochures off their website, and while you can go to each of the individual items and see the activity in a graph, this is limiting in a number of ways.
Activity is not able to be pulled into their own reporting system and they have to manually re-enter the numbers based on day, month, etc... to get the information. We should be able to export the information and have it pulled down via CSV like other statistics on the site.
It's cumbersome and time consuming to have to go to each individual item and look at the "Activity" one at a time. If this were added to the Reports section, users could go in and review the Media Downloads (in total) to see how many times information is being pulled off their site, but then use the sort/selection options to quickly jump to each of the individual Media Download items. As with #1, it would also be advisable to have this data exportable into a CSV file so that it can be used in Excel, then sorted that way.
It would also be good to add the Media Downloads as an option to the Custom Reports area, so that a client could save certain search options to pull specific sets Media Download items to see what's being downloaded from their site.
Hopefully this can get some traction in the ABC community, or if someone out there is aware of how to do this otherways, please let me know. I did chat with SBC support via Chat and they indicated that what I wanted to do was not possible at this time.
Thanks,
EricEric- While you are waiting for this feature to be added to reporting-- have you tried using Google Analytics Event Tracking to track the downloads? You'll get an accurate representation of downloads if you hook that up.
For more information on Event Tracking see: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/eventTrackerGuide
You might, for instance, make sure all your Media Download links have a class of "media-download" and using javascript can track a "Download" event when those links are clicked. -
Hello all:
In developer 6i i created a form with two buttons , one to run reports on the screen (P_RunReport('report_name','SCREEN'); )the other is to run reports directly to the printer (P_RunReport('report_name','printer');),
Now when i convert this form in developer 10g both buttons run reports on the screen,So how can i direct reports to printer within the same form?.
Thanks alot.I believe you'll be using Set_report_object somewhere in your code.
Shall you check exactly which value is going into that?
If you are sure that the value is going in is "SCREEN' or 'PRINTER', could you debug into the reports trace file?
That might help you.

Entreprise user to view Reports
Hi Experts,
i have a question about the BO authorization.
if i have one Webi REport based on Universe --> Bex Query with SSO to BW, can then a user with no BW user execute this reports?
or is it possible to map a BO user which do not have a BW account to a BW user ?
thank youPlease be cautious when you map your enterprise user to an SAP alias. If there was a user previously that was using the same BW credentials to login into the InfoView then after the mapping the Favorites folder of this user will not be accessible (maybe she/he had some reports stored in it) and if the user tries to login with the BW credentials she/he will be logged in as the enterpise account.
