Can default TV Output be set to PAL?

Hi,
whenever I connect the TV Out cable to any of my devices (IPhone 4, IPhone 4s and IPad 2) they invariably forget my last settings and revert to NTSC.
Since I live in Europe I have to change the settings to PAL. Doing so manually everytime is very inconvenient.
Is there a way to make iOS remember my settings for TV out?
Thanks
Stefano

  • Set default analog output in MAX

    Hi,
I would like to set a default value (e.g. 10V) to my analog output of my NI6251 card. The current value is (I assume) 0 V.
Is there a way to change the default value without using labview?
    Many thanks

I'm pretty sure you can't set the default analog output of a DAQ card to something other than 0V even using LabVIEW.  When the device powers up it will reset and set all outputs to an inert state which is a good thing for safety conserns.
I'd recommend you redesign your system so it too uses this standard of using the inert state of a startup condition.  What kind of system do you have that you want the off state to be 10V?

  • Can PID (Parameter ID) be set as a default by TCODE or Role Level

Hi, Any one has any idea if PID (Parameter ID) and its value can be set as a default at TCODE or at Role Level?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, you have mentioned try creating a Transaction variant or a Transaction parameter.
    Here is my question?
    1. Can we set a default Parameter ID at TCODE level so, if any user execute a transaction who has access to execute it, he will have Parameter id and its value as a default?
    2. Can PID be set as a default for SAP TCODE or Custom TCODE, or can be done for both, if it can be done then, How?
    3. Can PID be set as a default for a particular Role or profile?

    Hi JC,
    Yes, I agree.
A small disclaimer however is that we dont know which transaction is being refered to.
Creating a transaction variant with the parameter set for it could enable the use to navigate further and back again and in doing so "shed" the screen which the transaction (initially with variant parameter and skip screen) originally gave them.
Using a user-exit to set the parameter can in some cases be closer to the functionality (irrespective of how the user gets there) and be more reliable. But in this case an adventurous user will be likely to trick it anyway if they want to.
If the decision is made to use PIDs in the coding, then it is a decision that the user can influence the value (in my view). If coding makes insecure use of PIDs, then it is a design error in the coding.

  • How to set default sound output

How do I set the default sound output?  I'm outputting to a USB converter but Mavericks switches to internal speakers on its own with no warning, most times in the middle of a song. Doesn't matter whether I'm using iTunes or a 3rd party music playback app.

I too have the same setup as you and use my streamer with all of my Apple devices. I've found it necessary to turn off Bluetooth in the devices I don't want to connect to when they are all within range of one another. If you don't need Bluetooth on your Mac turn it off. I've also found that if I'm connected to my Mac and a call comes in to my iPhone that the phone will take priority.

On your iPhone you need to change your password in 2 places:
    - Incoming Mail Server and
    - Outgoing Mail Server
To get to the password entry for the Outgoing Mail Server you have to tap on cell smtp.live.com and again on the second view.

  • Can I send Logic drummer separate tracks to different outputs?  When I select the separate drum tracks the output is set and not changeable

I am using the Producer drummers in Logic where the different drums parts,(snare, overheads, Kick, etc) are broken into separate tracks.  I would like to take some of these tracks (for ex. snare) and route it to a different output bus.   When I try to do this the output is not modifiable.  Anyone find a way around this?

The question is not to find a way around it, the question is why it behaves that way in your Project.
A Producer Kit is just a Summing Stack, were all the individual Channel Strips (Subtracks) are routed to the same Bus that the Master Stack Channel Strip uses as its input.
In the example of the screenshot, the Summing Stack uses Bus 2, but I selected different Outputs for the firstsix Subtracks, even a Surround Output, whatever is available under the Output Selection Button. Only the "Tom High" Channel Strip is still routed via Bus 2 to the Master Stack Channel Strip.
You can find more in-depth explanations about the Drummer in my graphically enhanced manual "Logic Pro X - How it Works".
Try to use a different Project and see if you can change the output routing there.
    Hope that helps

  • CTR1_GATE pin defaults to output?

My goal is to count pulses connected to CTR1_SOURCE using the Frequency Measurement VI. I've noticed that when I connect the CTR0_OUT to CTR_GATE the CTR0_OUT goes high but the VI indicates a timeout condition. I believe this to mean that counter 1 did not see a trigger on its gate input which is strange because I certainly did.
I discovered in the manual for the PCI-MIO-E series that all of the pins such as PFIx/CTR1_GATE are all configured as outputs be default. God only knows why one would want the counter gate to default to to output pin. I have no idea how to instruct the CTR1_GATE pin to become an input connected internally to the counter's gate. I'm running Labview 5.1 and I don't have access to all the fancy CVI function ca
lls that reconfigure the signal routing. There are the AO* and AI* VI's but those only work on triggering analog stuff. There is no mention of ay other VI's being capable of fiddling with the routing.
Does anyone know how I can make the gate and source pins become inputs?

Page 4-41, PCI E Series Service Manual
    Quote:
"Any PFI pin can externally input the GPCTR0_GATE signal, which is available as an output on the PFI9/GPCTR0_GATE pin... You can select any PFI pin as the source for GPCTR0_GATE and configure the polarity selection for either rising or falling edge... As an output, the GPCTR0_GATE signal reflects the actual gate signal connected to general-purpose counter 0. This is true even if the gate is being externally generated by another PFI. This output is set to tri-state at startup. "
This pin is certainly NOT input only. It may be tri-stated by default. I wish I knew how to select a PFI pin to be the GPCTR0_GATE from LabView.
I know how this frequency counter thing is supposed to work-it just doesn'
    t. There isn't enough documentation on how to control the routing inside these boards from LV.

  • How to change output file setting?

Everytime I export a project in Premiere Pro CS5 to Media Encoder the output file setting is always the same... a location for a project I did ages ago. I would prefer it to be saved in either the folder where the current edited project is, or a general output video file on my drive.
Now before you think I'm a total noob, please be aware that I have gone into the ME preferences and changed the output file location, but believe it or not this did not work. Files are still being saved to the old location. Next, I turned off the "Place output files in" option thinking that files would go to the project folder as Adobe Help says, but nope, they still go into the old project file. I've done all of these actions and re-launched ME several times with the same results.
Of course I can always click on the output file in ME and manually change it but for the life of me I don't understand why its always defaulting to a project I did long ago. I'm about ready to uninstall and reinstall ME but thought I'd take one last shot and ask here if anyone else has encountered this problem.

Note that the export path is controlled by the app that initiates the job.
when you export a job from Premiere, the initial export path is controlled by Premiere, which uses the last path that you manually set*; if you never set a path on export, then it defaults to the folder where the PPRO project is saved.
*PPRO updates this path only if you change it in the Export Settings dialog that is invoked by Premiere; if you wait until the job is in AME's queue, then PPRO is unaware that you changed the output path. I suspect this is the crux of the issue you're having with PPRO setting the path to a folder you exported to ages ago.
When you start in AME and import a job, the Specify Output File Destination preference is applied if that option is enabled; if it's not, then the path defaults to the path of the source.

  • Is there a way to have Firefox respect the default audio output device when it has been changed while Firefox is open?

I have been a Firefox user for many years and I still use it as my primary browser. One problem that has bothered me for years is the fact that when Firefox is open and I change my default audio output device, Firefox doesn't respect that change and continues playing audio through the device that was originally being used. Even if you stop the audio and continue playing, the output device doesn't change.
Is there any way this can be configured in Firefox? Now if I listen to music online (e.g. Soundcloud) I always use Chrome since it's respects the default audio output device change even while in the middle of playing audio.
    Reproduce:
    1. Start playing audio (e.g. from a YouTube video; HTML5 and Flash are affected)
    2. Change your default audio output device
    3. Audio will continue to play from original output device
    Thanks!

This is the same issue that has plagued me for years. I always thought that this was a Flash plugin issue, but it does occur on HTML5 as well. A friend of mine verified that this does not occur in Linux, but only on Windows. It would be great to have this fixed, as it's honestly the only thing that's making me use Chrome all the time, as I don't want to have multiple browsers open.

The way that Dropbox works is that it keeps a copy of all your files in your local Dropbox folder on your hard drive (which is, by default, directly under your home folder). Adding files to that folder will sync them to the Dropbox server.
You do of course have to download the Dropbox application to enable this (download link at the top right of http://dropbox.com ).

How do you switch output sounds   set to my external monitor that is connected via HDMI.

    Hello gail from Ajijic,
If you'd like to change the audio output of your Mac, you can do so by accessing the Sound preferences in your System Preferences.
Before you start, open the Output pane of Sound preferences (choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Sound, then click Output).
    Choose a sound output device
From the list of sound output devices, select the one you want to use. All sound output devices available to your Mac are listed, including the computer’s internal speakers, devices plugged into your computer’s sound port (), USB speakers, and AirPlay devices.
For any device plugged into the computer’s sound port, choose Headphones.

  • 'Send Print Request' button can send paystub output to R/3 print spool:

    Hi
    Portal Experts
Current state of the SAP environment  on ECC 5.0 and EP 6  SP17
'Send Print Request' button can send paystub output to R/3 print spool:
When I clicked on ‘send print request’, I expected a printout to my default printer but didn’t get one.   If the dialog user has the 'print immediate' option turned off, their paystub will spool up in R/3. When a user clicks on the printer ICON within Adobe, they get to choose their printer and know that it will go straight to the printer.  This could be confusing to R/3 dialog users.
Any solution,How to change the option from spool to print immediate.

  • Save Output to: setting not being saved

This has been driving me nuts for a couple of years, so I figured I'd finally ask if anyone else sees this behavior.
My script grabs a PDF and converts each page to new, separate, PDF files using a custom name and number. There are three components: Ask for Finder Items, PDF to Images, and Make Finder Item Names Sequential.
My problem appears in the PDF to Images part. I have the "Save Output to:" setting set to a folder ON my desktop (Outbox). Every time I open the script it has reverted to "Save Output to: Desktop". I can change it, run the script from within Automator, and it works fine. If I save it (or save-as), when I next open the script, it will have reverted to Desktop. I have tried every iteration I can think of to get it to remember to store the files in the correct folder, but it just won't save this setting.
I am in the habit of just opening the script first, and changing the setting, then running the script before I have closed it, so this is no big deal -- but it does make it two more steps, which kinda defeats the whole purpose of automator.

Understood, but you mentioned scripts and AppleScript is used extensively with workflows. If there aren't any in yours, then all I can suggest is peruse http://www.automatedworkflows.com/tips/podcast.html

  • Print outs have thin border when -default-background-color is set

Hey everyone.  In my application the print out have this very thin border.  The -default-background-color is set to #333333 (dark grey) and this is the problem.  When I set the color to #FFFFFF (white), the thin borders go away.
When I set the default-backgroun-color to #FFFFFF, my loading screen is white.  I don't want that.
Does anyone know how I can have my loading screen with a #333333, but not have the thin border lines around my print outs?  Setting the border properties on the printed component doesn't work.  The problem is with the background color.
    Thanks for reading.
    Tom

Still hacking away at this problem.
I thought I had the fix until I deployed the AIR application.  Setting the -default-background-color to white worked fine when running from flex builder, but when I installed the application.  The "borders" are still showing.
Has anyone had any experience with this?  I'm printing Point of Sale receipts and they look like crap with these lines around them.  On top of this, some printers print differently.  The HPs print a border around the whole component. The Brother printers just print the left and right.  One of my customer's printers just prints the bottom and right borders.
