Can disjointed rollovers be responsive?

Hi All:
My client wants a tool develped for his website that will allow customers to develp their own widget. The website is currently built to be responsive (i.e. elastic to adjust to whatever viewport size a customer might visit the site with whether a desktop or a mobile device). My first question to this group is can disjointed rollovers created with Fireworks be responsive? Thanks.

Thank you for the help. I think I may be confused by the addition/need for linked text in the target image.
I know I should code things in Dreamweaver, but I do not know how to add the text to each target image. You see, I have a navigation bar with simple icons. Above this bar, I have one slice that is to contain sub-navigation links.
For example, I have a slideshow icon. When the user rolls over this icon, I want the slice above to display with listed text that is linked to the appropriate slideshow page.
Is there a way to do this? I know I have seen it is some sites, can't find them now though.
Any advice?

I have a table with several columns of text--a list of names of artists. I want users to be able to move their mouse over the names and small rollovers appear on another part of the webpage--disjointed rollovers.

I created my site in GoLive years ago, and I'm updating this particular page in DW CS3 for the first time. Now I understand GoLive didn't write proper JavaScript code, and the disjointed rollovers there now aren't the way DW CS3 wants them to be coded. (GoLive called them "remote rollovers")
My prob is this: when I try to make a simple change to the rollover--such as, add a name to the list of artists, and I use the Behaviours panel, use the swap image command, etc., all the other JavaScript effects on the rest of the page go kablooey.
Someone told me that I'm going to have to recreate my page over from scratch to rid the code of bad JavaScript codes. Is this true? Should I just go back to GoLive for the one page--for now--until I can recreate the page from scratch?

The answer really depends on the code on the page. Things don't just go 'kablooey' - it happens for a reason. Looking at the code will tell you what that reason is.
There is no a priori reason why adding a DW behavior to a page containing GL markup would cause a kabloeey event. Can you show us the page in its broken state?

Use menu rollover with disjointed Rollovers

I am using a menu with disjointed rollovers but I want to know how I can have rollover images on the menu as well without using the restore image function. I want to have a rollover swap image on the menu item and when it is clicked on the main image changes and stays changed until another menu item is clicked. I can do this but the menu rollover image stays "on" even when the mouse is not over it.

i finally figured it out. i opened the html file in dreamweaver and in the behaviors panel, change the tag to "MouseClick" swap image.

Caption in disjointed rollovers

Using Dreamweaver CS3 (WinXP), is there a simple way to add captions to disjointed rollovers?
My aim is to click on a thumbnail, and when the image is projected on the poster, I want a caption appearing underneath.

Without a link to see what you have so far, it's hard to make recommendations. Not too sure how you're creating your disjointed rollovers (scripts or CSS). Below are some links that might help.

CSS disjointed rollovers with animation?

im redesigning my site and for some reason my rollovers arent working. the top two thumbs are active.. nike and coke:

would it make sense to try this in CSS? and can CSS do disjointed rollovers with animated gifs?

They work for me, but you are not doing yourself a favor by letting the QT file auto-play. It will block UI interavctivity in many cases. As for you otehr question - an image is an image. CSS doesn't care whether the format in itself is animated or static.

The response file is associated with a specific login (as determined under Edit > Preferences > Identity) so you cannot retrieve it if you're using a different login.

Hi there,
Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.

Sending form via email - can't see user responses in returned PDF

I created a form in Form Central. I chose "save as PDF form" and saved it on my computer. I attached this form to an email and asked employees to fill out and send back to me as a pdf. When people email me back their filled in form, I can only see the responses when I click on each individual box. When I print the form, the responses do not print.
Would appreciate help since I distributed the forms to the company, and realized there was a problem as responses started to come in today (I only tested it on my computer and had no issues)
I would appreciate any help you can give. Especially:
Why is this happening?
How do I prevent this in the future?
Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue, without having to send out an updated form?

The users filling out your PDF are not using Adobe Acrobat or the Free Adobe Reader to fill out your form - FormsCentral forms have to be filled out in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
Also, make sure that you are also using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to view those PDFs.
The way to resolve this is to instruct your users to use Adobe Reader to fill out the form.

Can I get a response back when I use HTTP adapter

Hi ,
I am doing a integration between SAP and ThirdParty Product using PI 7.1.
The scenario is ThirdParty -> PI -> SAP ,using HTTP adapter between ThirdParty and PI , and IDoc adapter between SAP and PI.
So,its a HTTP sender and IDoc receiver.
So I was just curious to know if the IDoc posting failed in SAP ,can I send a response from SAP to Thirdparty regarding the failure along with some error message.

Hi,
It may lead to some timeout problems if you design your scenario as synchronous i.e sending response back to HTTP..
as SAP may take time to process idoc and need to provide response back to PI ..by that time the connection may become invalid and thirdparty may receive response as timeout error...
As anyway PI has the option of Alert managements..you can trigger the error mail to the third party recipients for letting them the status...

Application can't locate Impuse Response Files

I recently replaced my failed hard drive. After restoring from my backup, Logic can not locate impulse response files. If i am loading a preset in space designer, or loading a software instrument that has the space designer set, Logic tells me it can not find the response file and asks me to find it.
I know the location of the files, but it is annoying and inconvenient to have to locate the files every time I want to change instruments or load a preset.
How can I get Logic to permanently remember the location of the Impulse Response Files?

There is no such path System/Library/application support/logic/impulse responses on my computer. The Impulse Response files reside in HD>Lib>Audio>Impulse Response.
This difference of opinion between bill borez and immo gave me an idea, though. I put an alias of the folder into User>Lib>Application Support>Logic. Bingo!

Resp. will be tied to a Top Level Menu, which in turn would be launching a Home Page Menu. You can forward to this Home Page Func., to achieve your requirement.

I was practicing disjointed rollovers and driving myself
crazy. They just wouldn't work in the browser preview (I use FF as
my browser) Finally I tried to preview in IE 6 and it worked fine
as it did in Opera 8 and Netscape 8. Is there something stange
about FF for this behavior?

How can I view submitted responses in their entirety?

How can I view submitted responses to FormsCentral in their entirety? The forms were created in Word, made fillable in Acrobat XI, and made submittable in FormsCentral Plus via our company's website. I'd like to receive the completed form in its original format rather than sorted by question. Is this possible?

For imported PDF files, you currently can not save a response into the original PDF. We will be adding this capability at the end of January (in a few weeks).

From the output of the query in the note referenced above, you can run "Users of a Responsibility" concurrent program then to find out the list of users who have access to a certain responsibility.

can i redirect the responses to my form to a specific email address verses being sent to the response section on formscentral??

Currently we only support sending Email Notifications to form author. I'm not sure which specific email address you are talking about. Is it also a FormsCentral ID? If so, you could share the form to it, and make it as Co-author. Then you (or the owner of the ID) open the shared form and enable the Email Notifications in Options tab.
