Can dreamweaver perform auto refresh?

Is there any option to turn on live auto refresh whenever I edit changes to the html code?
For example. In split view mode when I make changes to css or html code, I would like to see the changes being reflected
on the design window automatically.. instead of having pressing F5 or the refresh button to see the changes.

No, there is no auto refresh. However, clicking in the Design view section of Split view also refreshes the display.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Hi there! How can I disable auto refresh in Safari 4.0.4?

I find the auto refresh of websites irritating. Sites even refresh while viewing an imbedded video, forcing you to restart the vid.
Some sites specifically: Drudgereport.com & Instapundit.com

Sadly this did not fix the problem. Also having turned JavaScript off, trying it out, and reverting to JavaScript back on, now videos don't play in Safari. Also, I asked for info on Safari 4.0.4, which should have been 5.1.5.

How can the browser auto-refresh not be considered a bug?

I have been browsing these forums and I have seen this issue over and over again being discussed and the answer is always "that's not a bug, that's how it works, you can't change or disable it."
Here is the problem. In ios 7, when you are using Safari (or any other browser, I have found), if you exit the browser to do almost anything: your phone rings, you open the camera and take a picture - anything at all - when you return to the browser, the current page will almost always reload itself. Anything you have done on that page, any comment written, any checkboxes checked - everything - will be lost.
This is an important issue for me, because I have written a web application that I use every single day for work. My web application is a 560k page of pure html/javascript (no third party or plugin content at all, I wrote it all by hand) with about another 80k worth of graphics (buttons). You load the page and javascript functions move you from div to div, with different sets of checkboxes in each div (there are some 87 such divs in the page). At the end of this process, you click a button to finish your checklist, which will save it to a database and you're done. Unfortunately, this process would never get to the end because of the page constantly refreshing.
So I rewrote the page to save via ajax at each major section (there are 8 major sections). Dividing it up this way meant that all of your work is never lost and that you only have to go back and redo at most one section. When I rewrote it this way and I was still using ios 6, it was only a minor annoyance. I might have to redo a section once or twice a week because of a page refresh. Ever since the upgrade to ios 7 however, it has become a pain again, because now the page refreshes almost every single time. The problem is that while doing this checklist, I have no choice but to go to the camera to take pictures documenting what I am checking boxes about. This switch to the camera and back again almost always forces a page refresh.
It strains credibility to think that a 640k web page has to be cleared out every time you do anything. I have only this page open in the browser, nothing else going on, nothing else loaded, all apps closed - and still, the browser will be force refreshed every time I do anything. The iphone 4s has 512M of memory, so my page occupies 640k of 524288k, or .001% of the available memory. Do you really have to refresh this thing every single time I sneeze?
How can this not be considered a bug, clearing out everything that can be cleared out regardless of what impact it might have on the user experience?
And finally, can anyone at all suggest any kind of a workaround? People have been complaining about this since at least 2008. I'm at my wits end, its making my web app nearly unusable.

OK...after better keyword choices I did find that the 'change location' solution does work, but only if the calendar is first shared with the world, and then has its location changed:

FWIW, I did try sharing privately to just myself, so that I could then subscribe to the calendar on the serving machine and push it out as a .ics file...but I cannot share a calendar with myself. Boooo.

Page can't be auto refresh in IE 8

I have a enviorment dependency which force me to use IE 8 for some spesific application. But since last tow days we face an unwanted issue that the IE webpage is not getting updated or refreshed once the content of the page value is changed. We need to refresh
it manually.

According to your description, only domain uses encounter this issue, thought you mentione that you have checked the GPO, I still recommend you run rsop check what kinds of GPO applied to the users, other GPOs might have effects on this issue. As a test,
we can temporarily remove the GPOs to confirm the issue.

How to auto refresh planning application -- using ABAP Class?

Hi
I have written few planning functions and attached them in one single planning sequence. One of the planning function in this sequence is de-activate data slice checkmark in planning modeler. If I execute this planning function indiviually then it works great however when I use this function in sequence then second function in row doesnot identify changes made by first function(data slice inactivate) and thus throws errors.
At the same time, if I refresh my planning session and re-execute the planning sequence then it does works as REFRESH activates the changes done by first function (de-activate data slice).
I am wondering if there is any ABAP class that can trigger this auto refresh in background else some other method to do this auto refresh ?
Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this one.

Hi Al,
The planning fn to deactivate was ineffective in a sequence was because the sequence which executes the functions does it on the data in the buffer and not actually on saved data, while your deactivation would work on the data after its saved.
You could perhaps run that function separately from the others in the sequence and save the data first and then perform your "deactivation" function.

Your webpage will refresh indefinitely. Change the 0 (zero) to a higher number in seconds.
Anyway, you will annoy your visitors.
Leave it to them to clear the browser cache. Do not decide too much for others.

Need help setting up auto-refresh

I need help figuring out why auto-refresh is not available in my situation:
I have a SQL Data source with the following settings:
Status
Ready
Gateway
Cloud Access

Then I created a spreadsheet with Power Query table and Power View chart. Power Query is using one and only view enabled in the data source. Data table has been added to the data model.
Now, when I upload the spreadsheet to Power BI site, then enable it for Power BI and try to setup the auto-refresh, I get the following:
You can't schedule a refresh for this report because it contains no data connections.

Thanks for getting back. Your workaround helped a lot. Now I can see the auto-refresh settings. However, when I try to "test connection" under the auto-refresh settings, it is giving me the following error:
OnPremise error: Sorry, the data source for this data connection isn't registered for Power BI. Ask your Power BI admin to register the data source in the Power BI admin center. Correlation ID: 4d4a7553-1177-43f3-9afd-14bd1b0263ec
The data source is configured the following way:
Enable cloud access = yes
Searchable in Power Query = yes
Enable OData feed = yes
Data source type = SQL Server
Please advise as the error message is misleading. Thanks a lot.

Stop Dreamweaver auto refreshing files

Dreamweaver auto refresh of files is causing an issue with our cloud storage. If we don't save every few minutes, we loose all our changes because Dreamweaver reloads the previous saved version of the file. How can I stop this?
This doesn't usually happen on a computer, because Dreamweaver is aware that the file you're working on is the same as the one on the drive. However for some reason it doesn't realise this on the cloud, and so it reloads the old version, overwriting all of your changes.

The setting isn't there.
Its under Preferences -> File Types -> Reload Modified Files.
There is no general setting for "site manager", its labeled "site".
At least not in the Edit -> Preferences, under Site you can get to manage sites.
but as I said I don't use that part, and neither does dreamweaver when no sites are configured.
Setting "Reload Modified Files" to never fixed my issue.

FireFox won't auto-refresh specific site, other browsers do. How can I get FF to auto-refresh?

I have a Help Desk application (everything HelpDesk) with a web interface. I keep my queue screen open so I can see new tickets come in and check status of existing tickets. FireFox does not auto-refresh this queue page so that new items or status changes show up. The page must be manually re-loaded in FireFox. However, other browsers (Chrome, IE, Safari) auto-refresh the queue page just fine. How can I get FireFox to auto-refresh this page?

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Hi all,
I have a workbook with a set of scheduled refreshes (powerquery via the gateway from web api). I've modified it by adding a new source from the azure marketplace. I've successfully added it to the DMG
I've uploaded the new report and I'm able to browse it successfully in powerbi
But when I try to schedule a refresh I get the following error against all the data connections

I don't think that's it. I deleted all the powerview reports and worksheets containing pivot tables/charts, and the refresh worked with the function.invoke() call.
The only reason that's in there is because the execution stops there when I dont have it and i have to manually click an 'invoke' button. If there's a way to get around that i'll happily try that instead.
Hmm.. i think I found it, but i'll need to do some testing next year after the holidays to verify
I had added two text boxes (name and desc) to one of my worksheets. I was able to test connection/schedule and run a refresh once I had deleted them.
Weird, because o365 excel services had no problem displaying the worksheet containing the text boxes, but it looks like workbooks that contain text boxes don't work on a scheduled refresh

How can I make firefox highlight new unread items on Drudge when the page auto-refreshes

So I read Drudge Report and checkit a few times a day. It would be nice to have the unread news items highlighted. The new items that appear after the page auto refreshes. It just occurred to me whilst writing this that I would have to open every link on the page to make the task of highlighting new content easier. I don't know but if there's a way to have the new unread items highlighted it would save time scanning the whole page for new stuff.

UDF at header level will not auto refresh before & after adding the invoice.

Hi All,
I have a FMS query in the UDF at AR Invoice header level. I have set the FMS query to auto refresh when tax rate field changes but the UDF doesn't auto refresh when there is a tax code in the document.
I will need to add the invoice first then open the added invoice and press shift+F2 to get the calculated amount in the UDF to update the invoice.
How to get the UDF to auto refresh whenever the tax code has changed? Or after the invoice has added?
The FMS query:

I solved the problem following the steps in SAP note 633285 - Printing the total Vat amounts in each Vat group, https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/0000633285
In order to print in the order the Vat amount in each vat group Please perform the followed stages:
Go to Tools (in the SBO tool bar ) and chose Manage User Field
In Marketing Documents (Rows) add new fields according to the Num of the vat groups that you are using in Orders (e.g. A1, A2 ,A4) The type : Units and Totals - the Structure: sum in the order each column will represent the vat amounts in the line but only for certain Vat Group
in order that each column will display the vat amount in the line only if it belong to certain Vat group we attach a query to each column: (e.g. we have 3 columns : A1, A2, A4) .the queries are;
SELECT $[$38.82.NUMBER] WHERE $[$38.18.0] = 'A1' FOR BROWSE SELECT $[$38.82.NUMBER] WHERE $[$38.18.0] = 'A2' FOR BROWSE SELECT $[$38.82.NUMBER] WHERE $[$38.18.0] = 'A4' FOR BROWSE Now each column will display the vat amount only if it in the relevant vat group
in the order document printing template you need to add those Vat column in our example we add 3 data fields : the file: Order - Rows , the Field: A1/A2/A4 - you can hide (un visible ) this columns as needed
in the Repetitive Area Footer add a calculation field for each vat groupthe Type: Column Total , the Column: Order; A1/A2/A4 in each calculate field you will get the sum amount of the vat in the relevant Vat group. (in addition you can add text fields with a relevant description for the calculation fields)

ADF Application gets auto refreshed

Hi
i have my ADF application deployed in one of the weblogic clustered server. There are four weblogic managed cluster.
In my application i am reading a csv file and performing some user operation with OIM.
It is taking much time around more than 5 min (i guess performance issue) and after that the application gets refreshed and back to home page is displayed where as in logs i am getting the debugs of file read.
Its only the application page that gets auto refreshed....
Please help !!!
from where the application get refreshed? is this a weblogi clustered application issue??
i tried the same application in another server where the application process the same file quickly(with less time) and no refresh of application happens.

i just checked the web.xml... the session timeout is not set in my application... so for that is there any default value for the application to get timeout?
and in my scenario i am not getting session time out message in my UI .... that session has been timedout please refresh or retry ...
the page gets totally refreshed.
i guess this is the problem of failure of HTTP sessions in clustered web logic where the connection in promary fails trys to connect secoundary cluster and if that fails the HTTP page gets refreshed....
can u please suggest if i am getting the problem correct or not ??

BO dashboard auto-refresh

Dear all,
I have a dashboard with multiple analytics within it. Currently, for refreshing of the dashboard, we need to click on the submenu name.
Kindly advise if there is any way to auto-refresh the dashboard (without clicking on submenu) say, every 5-mins interval. Hopefully we can leave the dashboard open without clicking on the submenu for refresh while data feed is coming in continuously.

No specific refresh option within the out the box system - but its prertty simple to create a html based component you can hide in the dashboard page that runs a little script that calls a parent frame refresh that would do the job - used this type of solution a few times now. Rather depends on what version of DM youre using for specific examples.
