The client wants the Employees to submit their Grievance(complaints) electronically through ESS?
Is any functionality available in ESS so that EE can enter complaints and send or do we need to customize this?

Latha when you look at developing grivence system then it all depends on what kind of system do you need.
You can look at EIC as one option but there are no escalations involved in this.
It is a system where you as an employee can raise justified errors like "error in payslip" that can be proved.
Otherwise you should go for a development and that can be using hrforms adobe or for that matter any technology.
Chris any suggestion.

But this functionality is available in the ITS. So, it is very straight that this has not been provide on the ESS Webdynpro.

Can one form submit to different servlets? Urgent!!!!

          Can someone tell me how can I submit one form to two servlets?
          The case is:
          Some of data in one form need to pass to one servlet, and the rest of them need
          to pass to another servlet. E.g. an Order form in some site, the financial info
          will go to some secure SSL credit card payment gateway, the product and delivery
          infor will goto another servlet. How do u handle the case? Does anyone know?

This sounds like a candidate for a controlling servlet that handles a single
          request, then forwards 'pieces' of each request to different servlets.

If that field which you wants to add is available in one of the structures like EKKO,EKPO then you can add that field just beside the other fields
If that field is not there in the any of the structures then you can define a variable using define command
/: DEFINE &VAR&
/ &VAR& = <some value>
or you can write subroutines to fetch the data from outside tables and can use those fields data in the script

Hope its a new development and i didnt come across any standard services as such. You can do it in the below ways
1. Develop a Adobe PDF display form in R/3. This requires ADS setup.
2. Develop Adobe PDF display form in NWDS and deploy it in Portal Java server. This requires ADS.
3. Develop clasical ABAP report to display text and develop a smart form to convert it to PDF output. Refer HR_ESS_PAYSLIP_TO_PDF.
4. Develop a jsp application.
Let me know if i understood the requirement rightly.

i had a requirement in complaints transaction where an acknowledgement of it should be sent to customer and the employee/ service employee as well . So how can it be done pls help me out..
how can it be possible so that the acknowledgement is sent to both of them.

Dear Amit,
Using Action Profile You can send your complaint acknowledgement to your Customer (Example – Initial response of complaint or you can say it’s under process) and Service Employee (for assign call to Field Service Person)
When you creating action select Partner Function and assign relevant Partner functions to here. And processing type will be as per your requirement. means If you want to send email or Print Select – SMARTFORM

I am trying to assign an employee on the system to ESS user profile and the message I get is personnel number 00000001 does not exist. When this employee has full record on the system and is an active employee What am I doing wrong?

IT 0185 can be used for India payroll. This is for pan no, gratuity.
This will not affect payroll.
OR
We maintain subtypes in table v_t591a. Goto tcode sm30 --> v_t591a --> select maintain
OR
Check his Infotype 105 and see if there is a valid record for the employee.

My first post. I had the same problem - when I clicked on submit in Compressor the drop down box appeared and in the Cluster box it said "none" and the submit button was greyed out. I've fixed mine and it works perfectly now. Here's how:
Go to System Preferences and select Sharing. A box appears with your computer's name at the top and a list of things you can share. Select File Sharing and to the right, it will say something like: FTP Access:On with a message underneath which contains your computer's IP address e.g 10.6.4.3. Make a note of this number.
Open Compressor and go to Compressor > Preferences. The Preferences Dialogue Box appears and at the bottom it says: Enter IP addresses or ranges for manually selected computers. Click on the + button at bottom left and then enter your computer's name and the IP address you noted earlier. Online will probably appear under status.
Next time you start a job in Compressor and click on submit the drop down box will now say This computer in the Cluster box and the submit button will no longer be greyed out - BINGO
this is what I did and it worked for me. Good luck.

I think the problem in your case coould be that the Concurrent Program you are trying to run has not been registered in the responsibility from which you are runnig it.
For eg. You are trying to run a program from Inventory Super User responsibility and the request group attached to the responsibility is say 'RG Inventory', but the concurrent program which you are trying to run from your inventory super user responsibility is registered under some other request group say 'RG Order Mangement' which is not attached to the nventory responsibility.
So register the program under correct request group and see if this helps you.
Other possibility is that check if you have permission to submit request from that responsibility. You can check this by going to the Menu ->View If the Request menu is disabled then you cannot submit the request.

To your question regarding the Pocket PC version of Reader, I downloaded Adobe Reader for Pocket Pc 2 and installed it on my HP iPAQ . I then loaded my test PDF file onto the iPAQ. The Reader for Pocket PC preformed an email submission fine. However, I received no indication that anything happened when I tried an HTTP Post. So I think you can only do an email submission.
In general, I have been testing to see how much I can do without the Live Cycle Reader Extensions, since for sure I will never be able to purchase them.
