Can Etherchannel be monitored in LMS3.2?

I am trying to view traffic information for a Port Channel on a 6509; however I can only select physical ports.  Does HUM enable any sort of capability in this end?  Anyone have any suggesstions of how I might check this information and have graphical output or reports for this channel link? Much appreciated!

I don't see why not. Even if HUM doesn't do it out-of-the-box (which is rather surprising to me), it would seem entirely possible through the Custom Template feature of HUM:
First use the Snmp Walk tool in Device Center to query 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2 (ifDescr) against the 6509. Look for the ifIndex number corresponding to the port channel in the output.
With that info, query the cat6k again for 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6. (ifHCInOctets). That output (or lack thereof) should indicate there's BW counter stats to report or not.
Then create a user-defined template in HUM to report on it, as well as 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10 (ifHCOutOctets), to round out the duplex picture:

  • Can you resize monitor to fill the screen?

Anyone know if you can resize the monitor to fill your laptops screen rarther than just taking up a small area of it? I'm guessing you could change the letter box ratio? But I'd like to just resize the window leaving the ratio alone as you would for anything else.
    Thanks
    Richard

Many Thanks answers part of it - is it possible to drag the side or something to make it fill just the amount you want instead of going to full screen. Sorry my mistake I wasn't clear enough. I'm wanting the screen say to fill most of the the width with out an empty space but still have enough space to show say the recorder controls or something underneath guess you get the drift.
    Thanks

  • Can OC/RDC monitor a user's last logon date?

Can OC/RDC monitor if a user has not logged in for 30 days, or 60 days, and send them an email, or lock their account?

    Hi,
If you are looking for the option to email the users - > you have to have your own custom code .
enable the audit trail to DB level. sys.aud$ will store all the login details - you can schedule a job to run every day and see if users didn't login for > 90 days send out email.
If you are only looking for the way to lock the account then its gonna be easy - create a new database profile with the settings you need.
How does one enforce strict password controls?
By default Oracle's security is not extremely good. For example, Oracle will allow users to choose single character passwords and passwords that match their names and userids. Also, passwords don't ever expire. This means that one can hack an account for years without ever locking the user.
From Oracle 8 one can manage passwords through profiles. Some of the things that one can restrict:
    * FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS - failed login attempts before the account is locked
    * PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME - limits the number of days the same password can be used for authentication
    * PASSWORD_REUSE_TIME - number of days before a password can be reused
    * PASSWORD_REUSE_MAX - number of password changes required before the current password can be reused
    * PASSWORD_LOCK_TIME - number of days an account will be locked after maximum failed login attempts
    * PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME - number of days after the grace period begins during which a warning is issued and login is allowed
    * PASSWORD_VERIFY_FUNCTION - password complexity verification script
    Look at this simple example:

  • Can a iview monitor the loading of another iview?

    Hello,
We created some IAC iviews and these IAC sometimes takes upto 1 minute to load completely. While doing so, there is no indication that the page is loading. In workplace, there was a image(similar to the webdynpro loading image) but this is not available in the portal. We poked around  and concluded that the image was being loaded and unloaded by the base frame. How can we accomplish something similar in the portal? Specifically, can we use EPCF for it? Biz has ruled out modifying IAC pages to fire EPCF events. Can a iview monitor the loading of another iview?
    Thanks for viewing this question,

To make app maintenance easier, I'd prefer to define the logic in one button and have the second button
simply do whatever the first button is defined to do -- as if it was the one that was clicked. Generally a button either submits the page with a request (i.e. 'CREATE') or executes some Javascript. You can make multiple buttons on your page that when clicked issue the same submission request. In that case, the Processing designed to run on that request will run regardless of which is clicked. Likewise more than one button could execute the same Javascript function.
For example, I have several apps that my userbase makes use of, and some people make use of several. To make it clear which they are logging into, the login screen of each has a graphic that indicates the app name (the same as defined in the application's logo). That graphic is actually in the screen as a graphic button and when clicked will submit as 'LOGIN', so it matters not whether someone clicks on the image or the Login button, the login logic will execute.

    Hi All,
Can't we monitor in SXMB_MONI if the  IDOC is Posted From R/3 to XI  ???
    What Could be the Reason
    Regards
    Vamsi

    Hi Vamsi,
The IDOC will be in SXMB_Moni only when it is sucessfully posted to XI system.
So we monitor whether the IDOC have reached the XI by the Tcode IDX5.
If in case it as failed, it may got failed in R3 system in SM58.

  • Sharing: Can Software Metering monitor Modern UI Apps?

Some customers are wondering whether Software Metering is able to monitor Modern UI Apps. The answer is No.
Software Metering is designed to monitor executable files for the following purposes.
    1. Determine how many copies of a specified software application are in use on the company network.
    2. Determine whether there are any unused copies of a specified software application on the network.
    3. Determine which users regularly use a specified software application.
Windows Store Apps use a very different way to start up and this cannot be monitored by Software Metering agent.
If you really want to monitor the Modern Apps running status. Here is a possible workaround.
When a Modern App launches, an Event Log will be generated under AppLocker Category as shown in screenshot below.
You may centralize the event logs, then use event filter to get the information you want. Please refer to the following document to configure computer to forward and collect events.

Actually, you can use software metering for some modern apps, it depends upon their underlying architecture. I don't remember the details (because I'm not a modern app dev), but there are in fact multiple types of modern apps that are executed in different
ways. The ones based on HTML5 can not be monitored but the ones based on the WinRT can be (or something like that).

  • Can the 30" monitor run on the new mini?

Can the 30" monitor run on the new mini and is the new mini more powerful/faster than my current original 20" iMac intel duo?
Thanks in advance for everyone's feedback!
PS. I know the 30" is due for a refresh and would wait....

You would need the mini-DVI to Dual-Link DVI adapter, but the 30" would work with that up to it's maximum 2560x1600 resolution.
However, while the new mini will be a little faster than your existing 20" iMac (assuming by 'original' you mean the 2.0GHz 'early 2006' model), it's not going to offer you a significant performance boost. The mini would offer you greater maximum RAM (4Gb instead of your current 2Gb limit) and has a significantly faster bus and greater L2 cache, and it has 11n wifi rather than your existing 11g, plus a number of other minor enhancements, but you need to consider whether the benefits in terms of better performance and greater flexibility of buying this system, and the display to go with it, are sufficient to justify the costs.
Much may depend on which software you are using, or plan to use. If you are habitually running legacy software which needs Rosetta, and often need more than one such application open at a time, your maximum of 2Gb RAM may be limiting system performance overall by quite a bit. A mini could help significantly simply by allowing you more RAM. Alternatively, if you are running little more than basic and common applications such as web browsers, email, etc, and have just 1Gb RAM, you might find that a better investment would be to increase the RAM in your iMac to 2Gb, and keep using that for a while longer - perhaps while you decide exactly what your future needs are going to be and thus which hardware is best suited to meet them.
Alternatively, if you are just feeling that it's time for the iMac to retire and you want a new system, the new mini looks to be a very credible choice for a wide range of users - and pretty good value too!

  • Since I updated to 5.0.1 on my iPad2 my Apogee One no longer works correctly. I get loud  pops and crackles and my monitoring has changed completely.  I can no longer monitor through the Ipad headphone socket

On previous ioS Garageband worked perfectly.  The crackles now make it impossible to record with an external mic  or with the built-in mic on the One.  I used to be able to monitor via headphones plugged into the ipad headphone socket.  Now when I plug the Apogee one into the iPad camera port I get sound for 1-2 secs and then nothing.  The only way I can monitor then is through the Apogee One headaphone connection but it is loud and distorted.

Minor update:  I have multiple PC's in my office.  This same iPad and other apple devices properly work and sync with their connection to this other computer.  Both computers are running the 64bit iTunes and both have Windows 7 64bit OS running on both machines.  I tried deactivating firewalls and even deleted the iTunes with a fresh installation with no avail.
Something is keeping my Apple mobile devices (iPods, iPads) from being recognized within iTunes.  However, they all are properly recognized by my PC.

  • Can't Get Monitor to Work

Recently upgraded to 2012 from 8. Cannot get Monitor to work. I can browse to the 8200 port and get a blank webpage. The individual web pages for the POA, GWIA, MTA, Webaccess and DVA all work. This is on SLES 11.1. Maybe it is not supposed to work. If that is the case the Admin Documentation is not clear, since it says somethings only work with a Windows install and implies that other components will still work with SLES. [I did initially have a problem with the DVA monitor where the IP address did not get written to the config file, so something along the same lines may have gone wrong on install.] Thanks.

Here is a little more detail, although as mentioned, if I attempt to reinstall, I get a report that the rpm items are installed already:

  • Can't view/monitor copy-pasted video prem elements 7

    Hi folks
Wierd one this.  We've got Premiere elements 7 in college on some awfully slow computers (2GHz dual core cpu with 1GB ram).
Sometimes, when a student has copied some video and pasted it on another track/later in the session, they'll try and play it but it won't show in the monitor.
The screen goes black, but you can hear the audio.  However, when you double click the video itself, it will open in that  window you use for fine tuning a cut, and you can see it playing ok.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers
    Bob

1GB RAM is nowhere near enough to run PRE7 comfortably (I'm quite surprised that it works at all). Other likely problems are inadequate free disk space and out of date drivers.
Work through these basics to see if it cures your problems.
    Install all Windows Updates.
Install latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.9 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites.
    Install PRE7 v7.0.3 update.
Delete BadDrivers.txt (in Windows 7 this is likely at C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Premiere Elements\9.0\BadDrivers.txt)
    Run Disk Cleanup.Run Defragmenter.
    Reboot your PC.
Temporarily disable any anti-virus realtime scanning.
And give us some information about your clips and hardware:
Use the GSpot Codec Information Utility to analyse the file and post screen image.
What project preset did you use?
Where did the clip come from?
How did you get it into PRE?
