Can films bought from iTunes be played from a PS3?

I wondered if a film bought from the itunes store could be loaded to the PS3 (either via USB flash drive or by media server link) will play from a PS3. I just wondered if the files were compatible or protected to only work via iTunes or Apple TV?

I have virgin cable tv which has the iPlayer built into it's on demand interface which is great. I wish I could buy films online and then play them through my TV without having to purchase another piece of kit (ie the AppleTV). For the first time in my life I am actually envious of Microsoft Users. I have a mac and a PS3 because I love the elegance of their technology. However it seems all that elitist attitude has resulted in a barrier preventing this potentially lucrative partnering of the two machines/systems.
Mind you, the PS3 works brilliantly with Microsoft media servers and microsoft in manufacturing the XBOX have to be one of SONYs biggets rivals; so who knows what the future holds.

Anytime you open an app that has a persistant sound stream - a movie, a podcast, some games - it will overide the music app's stream. nothiong you can do to change it.

I have the latest version of iTunes on my MacBook Air, on my iPhone 4, iPad2 and Apple TV, as well as, I have an Apple ID and Imatch account. I hardly tried to watch the films that I bought on iTunes store in my apple TV, however it have been impossible. I need inform that I can acess my music through icloud, but not the film. Ah.. I also have turn able the home share on iTunes and also on apple Tv. What I am doing wrong?

To watch purchased films on ATV home-sharing must be enabled on ATV and iTunes. Your computer must also be up and running iTunes. Then you navigate to the computers tab and go into the movies sub-menu.
For music, if you are subscribed to iTunes Match then just sign into your account via the music tab.

How to get films bought in itunes via windows pc on my new iMac.

Locked into itunes on my new iMac I am only able to download music apps and books from my account. Previously I operated the account on an laptop with windows system. How to get the films downloaded on this device transfered to the iMac? Consequently to be captured via a TC. I always believed everything bought in itunes can be downloaded again. So for instance in case of a harddrive failure. If this is not the case, do I need to make backups.
Being a first time user here I am keen to expereince the community support here.

Find the movie file on your windows. This shouldn't be too hard. They are usually stored in /user/music/itunes/itunes music/
Drag the files onto an external disk.
Move the disk to your mac machine.
Copy the files off of the disk and onto your mac, then import them into itunes again.

Can I wake up iTunes to play from a selected playlist on remote speakers (with a fade-in)?

Is there a way to get my MacBook or iPhone to use a selected playlist from itunes as a wake up alarm - ON REMOTE SPEAKERS? Loads of alarms start up with a selected playlist or song, but they play only on the computer or iPhone or plugged in speakers. I want to wake up to my remote speakers in the bedroom via the wireless AirPlay function. Any ideas would be welcome.

I have practically the same problem, but only with podcasts. From a smartlist having all my podcasts, autofill only puts two onto the shuffle. From a normal playlist, none. I can drag them all into the shuffle. I'm on an iBook with Panther, iTunes 6, September 2005 iPod updater.

Try this:
Launch iTunes Store.
Tap "Purchased" tab.
Tap "Movies" tab at top of screen.
Tap "Not on This iPad".
Tap the movie you want to download.
Tap the "iCloud download" icon (the downward-pointing arrow coming out of the cloud icon).
Once the movie downloads, it should be available in the Videos app.

You can use the phone in Sweden if it is unlocked, but you won't get a 4G signal because all the frequencies vary greatly between countries, especially European countries and Australia/New Zealand, so it won't be compatible and they can't cover all frequencies in one phone, which is why different models are sold in different countries.
If you want to use your phone in Sweden on the Swedish 4G networks, then you'll have to purchase a new phone in Sweden that will work with the 4G network. Your other phone will work, but NOT on 4G.

The songs i bought on itunes wont play on my ipod

they used to work, but i just bought a new cd from i tunes now all the songs from i tunes wont play on my ipod.
how can i fix this. im not going to "restore" and loose all my songs.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

My ipod (160g classic) won't play some movies and tv shows I bought on itunes. they play fine on my mac and sometimes when I resync my ipod they will show up and play and sometimes they don't? anybody got a clue as to what is going on????

stupid ipod wont sync some of my tv shows. they worked before i updated it then i erased everything on it tried restoring it to factory setting that didn't work. some of them say that it isn't compatable and they were downloaded on it before. does anybody have an answer to what the problem could be?

no not really the means it cant find the song so since there scattered you would need to find each one of those individually and if that doesn't fix it ur lookin at removing and reinstalling

I can't play the songs bought On iTunes. It will skip them and shuffle to the sync songs from computer.

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to automatically update. If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to manual in the iPod preferences. One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

Yes. Use the iTunes command File > Add Folder to Library and point it to the folder where the music is stored. Start with one folder so you can see how it works. iTunes will add whatever is compatible.

iTunes is only designed to sync Apple devices. However, the songs in your iTunes library can be used for other purposes. Follow the instructions that came with your player.

Video that are parts of album bought on iTunes: no images

I just received my new apple TV. All my videos streamed from ipad3 or iphone 4s play well. Only the video that are "bonus" fromalbum bought on itunes wont play. Can only have the sound, but no image. Is it normal ? What can I do ? All home sharings are on!

If you are referring to iTunes LP, that is not compatible with ATV 2 or 3. Only the 1st gen can accept at this time. In regards to whether it will be made compatible with the subsequent models, we are only users.
