Can final cut pro x remove vocals on mp3?

I want to Karaoke 'Try' by Dolly Parton on Blue Smoke as there are no available karaokes of it commercially, so I want to remove the vocals on the song but keep the musical arrangement.  Can Final Cut Pro X do that?  Thanks, GoDeAn

I don't know anything that can do that. If you find one can you let us know?

    My questions is simply...
Can Final Cut Pro 5.0.4 run on MAC OS X TowerVersion 10.5.8Processor: Dual 2.7 GHz PowerPC G5Memory: 6 GB??
and how do I found out if it is intel based?
I am trying to sell my mac and there are people asking me very complex questions.

A G5 is a PPC processor, NOT Intel.
Final Cut Pro 5 will run on a Power Mac G5.
Yes, your tower will run it.

  • 60 HOUR Movie! Can Final Cut Pro Handle My Movie??

    Hi,
I'm currently working on an art film, which when completed will be around 60+ hours. My assumption is that I'll have to get an enormous external hard drive to store all the files + playback. I planned on playing the film off of the external drive through a laptop and then to a monitor. My question is can Final Cut Pro handle a film of this length if I have the storage, and can anyone see any issues I may encounter with the mentioned setup? Any advice, or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You aren't going to need an enormous external hard drive as in one - you are going to need several external hard drives. If you work with just about anything over DV you will need plenty of space.
FYI, we edit classes captured over the course of the semester. It is 40-50 hours of video captured in DV-NTSC format. It requires around 400-500GB of storage space per class. If you work in any format larger than DV-NTSC you will need much more storage space.
As per your question, Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 timelines only go up to 12 hours of video (or 6 hours for sequences with high audio rates). There isn't generally much of a need for anything more than that.

  • Can Final Cut Pro 7 be run on the New MacBook Air

Can Final Cut Pro 7 be run on the New MacBook Air (just for looking at footage and assembling a rough cut) or is the graphics processing inadequate? Also wondering the same about Photoshop CS5 and Aperture 3.1.3.
    Thanks,

You can install on (1) Tower and (1) Laptop, as long as they are both used by you, and NOT at the same time.  This is for when you edit on your tower, but then need to edit at home, or on the road.  You cannot use one copy of FCP on multiple machines at the same time.  You need one copy for each machine you intend to use at the same time.

  • Can Final Cut Pro 7 be installed on more than one computer?

I am looking to purchase a Final Cut product, maybe Final Cut Pro 7, and wondering how many computers I can install the software on.  I'm doing some basic video editing stuff for a sketch comedy team and we use more than one computer at times for editing.
    Thanks

  • Can Final cut pro 7 and Final cut X live together

I just spoke to one of my friends who installed Final cut pro X and told me that it basically crushed his version of 7. My idea here was to install final cut X to start learning the new workflow and keep my version of Final cut 7 for compatibility issues. Question is can these two live together on the same machine?
Please note my friend is the type of guy that if he does not see the software icon in the dock it basically does not exist.
    Thank you in advance everyone

  • Can final cut pro x open a final cut pro 7 file?

I editied a file on Final Cut Pro 7. I am looking to purchase Final Cut Pro X and I am wondering if I can open and edit my Final Cut Pro 7 project in Pro X?

You have to use Intelligent Assistance's 7toX to be able to bring it to FCP. If you're talking about an FCP project. If you mean an exported file, most likely, but it depends on exactly what you exported to.

  • Can final cut pro X handle xvac-s format?

I am trying to find out if Final Cut Pro X can handle xvac-s format?

This is one of FCP X's best features - it's unbelievably good for syncing multicam - just remember to give each clip a different Camera Angle Name (do this in the Inspector) and the App sorts the rest out.

  • Can Final Cut Pro Open iMovie projects?

I am just curious because I have a lot of clips into a project of imovie that I wanted to use in final cut pro but I could just copy all the clips but I wanted to check in advance to see if that was possible.

You used to be able to just open iMovie 06 projects in Final Cut but Apple made it a bit more complex.
In iMovie 08, select the SHARE menu and then click on "Export Final Cut Pro XML"
    Save the XMl someplace fun.
Then exit iMovie if you're finished.
Back in FCP, right-click in the Browser window and select IMPORT and then click on XML.
Navigate to find the XML you just exported from iMovie, click on it, and open it.
A new sequence is created and you simply need to load that sequence (By double-clicking).
    Everything is wonderful.
Warning, do NOT use the File | Open menu sequence which can locate and open the XML because this will cause the new COLOR program to load the iMovie Project and that wasn't so much fun.

  • Can Final Cut Pro 606 work in Maverick

Im running Final Cut Pro 606 OS 10.6.8 and want to know if it works in Mavrick?

    Hi there avcreations1,
It looks like Final Cut Pro 6 is not supported in OS X 10.7 and later. The article below states that only Final Cut Pro 7 and X are compatible with Mac OS X Lion (v10.7).

  • Can Final Cut Pro do what Final Cut Express couldn't?

Recorded monitor screen actions using Snapz Pro movie mode (for tutorials, college course, I'm the professor). Now I need to somehow get a final QuickTime movie output, with as close to the same quality as I had in the original recordings.
Tried using Final Cut Express to put all the Snapz Pro clips together and the final output is blurred and out of focus. Was advised on the Final Cut Express forum, by a very knowledgeable guy (Tom Wolsky), that Express won't work (I found that out) and the only way to go is by using Pro. He advised to make the Snapz Pro recording in Photo-JPEG mode and said Pro would accept this and give me a good shape QuickTime output.
Question: Before I invest in Pro (on a limited budget and just purchased Express) I'd like to be certain I can do what I'm hoping to do.
Any help of this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

FCP will do this. I have recorded several tutorials using SNAPZ Pro and edited them with FCP just fine. I used a neat tip that made it easy in FCP 5:

But I don't think you need that with FCP 6.

  • Can Final Cut Pro edit MPEG?

    Hello,
I work with HD MPEG files. However, to edit them in FCP is a painstaking task. I must always convert all the video files to .DV to speed up the editing/rendering process. In turn, I am forced to sacrifice video quality. Is there some way that I can set a project's format to .MPEG so that real time playback and rendering are just as quick as .DV files?
    I appreciate any help.

What format would you suggest for importing and editing videos in FCP to maximize editing speed/ease.
    Anything other than .dv.
There is a long list of compatible formats supported by FCP in the manuals and on the marketing pages at ahttp://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/
You will not find .dv on that list. Which brings up a question you need to answer for yourself (but not for us because the answer is not relevant to this dialog), who told you to use .dv? They were terribly misinformed.
