Can flash send me a .PDF file of what a user created?

Hey,
Is it possible for my published flash site on the internet to send me a .PDF file of a character that a user has made on my flash site?
I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

That's a bit excessive. The website http://convert.neevia.com/pdfcompress/ can compress files up to 5 MB in size. You may want to print to PDF single smaller pages, or print the document and scan it one page at a time to PDF, and then use the PDF compress tools to shrink it further.

Can't send single-page PDF files to other apps

When someone emails me a PDF with multiple pages, the files appears as an attachment in the email and I have to click on it to view it. Once I click on it, I am taken to a full screen view of the PDF and I can scroll to see the other pages. When I tap the screen, the square with an arrow point up appears in the upper right corner. When I touch the square with the arrow, I am given the option to send the PDF to Messages, Mail, etc. I also have a app on my iPad called PDF Expert and I can send it to this app as well. PDF expert lets me draw on the PDF so I can sign documents.
So here's the problem. When a single-page PDF is sent to me, it appears in-line, in the email body itself. It does not appear as an attachment. When I click on it, instead of it taking it to another page where I can view it full screen, it gives me the option to Select or Copy. This doesn't help me at all. I have had this problem with images showing up inline in the email body as well.
Being able to see the attachment inline is a nice idea, but there absolutely needs to be a way to send it to another page to be viewed full screen and to give the option to send it to other apps.

I have been having the same problem... Here is how I solved it.
I removed all graphics from my automatic email signature line and then it worked!!!! For some reason, the ipad mail app cant handle a graphic signature block and an attachment.

How can I transfer a big .pdf file e.g. 9 MB from my Macintosh Performa 5200 and its OS 8.1 to an USB flash drive? E.g. is there any adapter available in order to connect the SCSI with USB? Or is it better to use a compression software and transfer it to 10 3,5" floppy discs?

Hello Emanuel,
The Performa 5200CD did not have built-in Ethernet as standard, so unless an Ethernet card (or an external SCSI or LocalTalk-to-Ethernet adapter) has been added, that method would not be available in this case.
Your suggestion involving compression software (such as an appropriate version of StuffIt) with segmenting capabilities could of course be one alternative.
If you have an internal or external modem for the Performa, another way could be to use the telephone lines for transfers. A communications program would have to be used on both sides (for example, ZTerm or the communications section of ClarisWorks on the Performa).
It is even possible to connect two serial modems directly. A simple line simulator (in principle, a 9 V battery in series with a 680 ohm resistor in one of the leads in an RJ-11 to RJ-11 cable), which can be built in a couple of minutes, is sometimes needed. Do NOT use a line simulator for units connected to the public telephone network.
Yet another solution could be a null-modem transfer to a PC with a (DB-9M) serial port. This would require a null-modem cable (can be designed by combining a Macintosh modem cable (MiniDIN-8M to DB-25M) with a normal PC-style (DB-25F to DB-9F) null-modem cable . HyperTerminal or another communications program can be used on the PC.
What do you have to work with (other computers/models/platforms)? Is this a one-time transfer, or do you plan to send additional files later? Is the intention to continue to use the Performa 5200?

Flash preview failing on PDF file

I have what appears to be a perfectly valid PDF file for
which Share seems unable generate a Flash preview.
The PDF file was created with a fairly old version of Acrobat
(PDFWriter 2.0 for Macintosh), but displays without error with
Acrobat 8 on Windows XP. When viewed in Share, I see message
"Creating Flash Preview" -- as is typical when a document is first
uploaded -- but the message just stays there, with no preview
created.

OK. Open your PDF with Preview and at the top of the window (near the file's title) you will see Locked in grey.
Click on it and in the menu that appears click Unlock.
It looks like this in OS 10.7.3 :
For information you can view the permissions of a PDF file in Preview by choosing in the menu bar Tools > Inspector, and then click Encryption (the lock).

No. You can set an option in an outgoing mail message to have a receipt confirmation sent to you, but the recipient can decline to send that receipt. (Spammers would be very happy if their junk would automatically acknowledge which are actually live email accounts.)

Send pdf file in an email by c# emailer, also sending a completed pdf file to server

I am trying to achieve two things: First I want to have a submit button on my pdf that sends the completed pdf to a asp.net C# file that sends the completed pdf file, as an attachment to a hard coded email address by a mailer, which i have already created. Then, I want to save the completed pdf file to a directory on the sites server using c# code, so I can make the file name of the pdf one of the fields from the pdf. I have been trying to make this work now for a little over a month with no success. Some insight into this would be GREATLY appreciated.

You'd probably want the LiveCycle Forms ES product on the server to
handle the merge from submitted XML data to a PDF on the web. Then you
could e-mail or store the data.

When a user opens the file in Acrobat Reader, they can fill it out and print it no problems. However, if they wish to send it via email, this is not possible. I looked on Google and found out that I must save the fillable PDF using "File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Adding Text In Documents" but this option doesn't seem to be available in the MAC version of Adobe Pro...

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Ever since I installed Safari 5.1 on my PC (XP) I can no longer access the pdf files on my website. I have no problems with Chrome and Firefox. I keep on getting a message from WebKit2WebProcess.exe that the LogTransport2.dill was not found. (I HATE PCs...) I tried reinstalling Acrobat 9. I tried reinstalling Safari. I even tried an older version of Safari. Nothing Helped. Others have tried it on their machine, and it worked fine. But I do not know what is the matter with mine. Hello pf1tarac, I don't believe that is possible. In order to create a PDF file, you would need Adobe Acrobat or some other PDF compatible product to save a scan to the PDF format.
There are some free PDF programs available. Here is a link to one of them.
