Can FormGuide be saved as swf on desktop

Hi,
I know it is going to be a bizzarre question but I still want to ask.
I know we can save the PDF but what if I wanted to save the form guide itself for user, so that they can continue getting the same flashy app as they have been working with after they come back to work on it.
Thanks
Manoj

Hi,
Our experience is that while you can develop form guides within LC Designer ES; you need components of LC Enterprise Suite to deploy the form guide to the user. I don't think that you can save the SWF form guide; but check out http://blogs.adobe.com/formnation/2008/01/form_guide_documentation.html
Just came across this at http://blogs.adobe.com/lcformguides/:
NOTE: TO MEET the USER LICENCE AGREEMENT for Guide Builder, you must use LiveCycle Forms Service to generate the Guide SWF. The use of the Designer Preview is for Development purposes only.
Good luck,
Niall

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running?
How did you save your Timeline content which included the narration clip produced with the project's Narration Tool?
Publish+Share/Computer/ and then what? And, what preset? And, for that preset, did you use the default settings of the preset
or did you customize the preset under its Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
What other audio was in the project - any on Audio 1 or Soundtrack? Did you get involved with Smart Mix at all?

  • "screen shot can't be saved" and other permissions issues

After having my iMac at the Apple Store for four days solving a problem with "quit unexpectedly" issues with all Apple built-in Apps on OS X Yosemite, I got the machine back with those problems solved.  It involved re-installing OS X and restore files from backup.  I thought all was well; the Genius Bar dude showed me that it's fixed. He said it took so long because of bizarre permissions issues he'd never seen before.
Now that I've lugged this 40lb machine back home (after verifying the fixes in the store) I now find that several (other) functions don't work.  When I try to do a screenshot, I get this message:"Your screen shot can't be saved.  You don't have permission to save this file in the location where screen shots are stored."  Message could have been more helpful; the "location" is the desktop.  Pretty descriptive, though.  Seems I can't save anything to the desktop.
I tried creatng a folder on the desktop.  Got this message: "Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this".  Type password and new folder appears.  Drag the new folder to the trash, get same message..
I tried copying a file from a network drive to the desktop. I get this dialog: "Modifying Desktop requires and administrator name and password.  I clicked "authenticate" and after a 3 minute delay (with "Preparing.." ) I get this dialog; "Finder wants to make changes.  Type your password to allow this".  I type the password and the file appeared on the desktop.  Before the work at the Apple Store, this never happened.  BTW I have only one user account and it's marked "Allow user to administer this computer".  Thinking something might be goofy with the pw, I changed it (took 3 minutes to do, oddly) and rebooted. No joy. Same thing happens when I try to drag something from the desktop to the trash.  Long time "moving" message followed by having to provide and admin pw.
I tried to save a Safari attachment to the Downloads folder and got this message: "Safari could not download the file xxxxx because there is not enough free disk space".  Since I have more than 600GB of available space, I think the message is wrong and that it's really a permission issue with the Downloads folder.
Tried to reset the password again.  Click to unlock the Users & Groups panel, get "System Preferences is trying to unlock Users & Groups preferences.  Type your password to allow this".
All this tells me that somehow Yosemite is in "nag" mode (reminiscent of Windows Vista.
    Any ideas?

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Ipod classic with error message (-48) can it be saved without wiping it??

my ipod is coming up with an error message (-48) and saying it cannot be synched. I would like to put new material on it but cannot. Is there any way of rescueing it without restoring it to factory settings (as I do not want to lose things on it that I don't have on my computer)

    To answer your questions:
Are you loading them by using Preview>File>Open, double clicking, or dragging the file? None of the above. I am loading them through 4D. I generate a report on 4D and it opens in Preview.
When this happens can you Open another PDF from the same location? Yes, see details below.
Are you loading these PDFs from the Server or another Mac? From the server. The file is created by a 4D client that resides on my disk but the 4D server which it references is on another computer. I am still shared to that computer and my connection to 4D has not changed as far as I can tell.
I found today (details written in response to another question) that when this happens I can save the file to my own desktop but not to the server. It makes me think there may actually be something happening with my connection. I wonder does a server do any realigning (for lack of a better word) of connections as some connections are lost? While I had the document open (the one that I could not save to the server) I went to the server and opened a document that existed there. I saved the file back to the server with a different name. No problem, it worked just fine. Now I am really confused....
    1) A PDF file generated by 4D that has not ever been saved to the server can not be saved to the server via Preview around the time that other people are disconnecting from the server and shutting down their computers for the day. Quitting Preview and regenning the document fixes the problem.
    2) The same PDF file that can not be saved to the server can be saved to my own disk.
    3) Other files that are already existing on the server can be saved with a different name to the server at the same time as a new document can not.
I wish I felt like I was getting closer to the answer...

  • Preview error message doc "can not be saved because it does not exist"

I have had a long standing problem with Preview. I know it is odd but around closing time every day, two of my computers both running 10.6.8 get error message when trying to save a new document. The document will be open on my screen and when I go to save it I get the error message that the file can not be saved because it does not exist. Some background that may be relevent:
The documents that I create all day long (for at least 6 years) are output from a 4D database. I generate a report from the db and it opens in Preview as a PDF file. All day long I have no issues with creating and saving these docs. Then around 4-4:30 when many people are getting ready to leave two of our computers (one iMac 3.06GHz Intel Core i3 and an older macMini) have this problem. All you have to do to fix it is quit Preview and regen the doc. Unfortunately we often lose a lot of work because of it. I've tried anticipating when it will happen and restart Preview before creating the new doc but that only works occasionally.
I suspect that it has something to do with people logging out (I am usually the last to leave) and perhaps some shared application is effected. Everyone does have their own copy of Preview and we all use separate 4D clients. I have searched the internet many times. I have found some similar problems that people have had with this error but not related to my own. Unfortunately both Preview and "the file can not be saved because it does not exist" are very general terms that bring up all kinds of unrelated things.
I was going to try to delete the Preview Prefs file and start again but I can not find a plist for preview or any other file that is clearly the prefs. Searched the internet for that too but did not find it.
Does anyone have any ideas on this odd problem?
    Thanks for reading!

  • The update "Mac OS X Update Combined" can't be saved.

A few days ago my mac ( late 2009 model MacBook pro running lion 10.7.2 ) started freezing, a lot. The freezing seemed to be a problem with osx itself rather than with any particular program. So I initiated software update hoping that there would be an osx update. Low and behold, there was.
Here is the problem.... I can't get it. I have tried twice and both times I get this message
"The update “Mac OS X Update Combined” can’t be saved.
The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs."
    Any ideas?

Ok this problem has developed somewhat.
My machine has gone from bad freezing spells to being downright broken.
I rebooted the machine and got stuck at login screen.
Rebooted again and didn't get to login screen.
Rebooted again and got logged in but my desktop was unresponsive and then started flashing between the desktop image and a plain grey screen. I did this literally all night (left it over night).
So today I have booted up from an install of lion I have on an external FireWire drive. And all is well. I am trying to backup things like my photo library and other documents so that I can format the internal hard drive and and do a clean install.
I can access the hard drive, see all the files, but when trying to copy it over I get an error message saying
"the finder can't complete the operation because some data in "iPhoto library" can't be read or written ( error code -36 )
Now before anyone screams broken hard drive, the data can be read, because I can view it all in finder. Just can't copy it out to an external drive.
    Please help!!
Oh ps. Before booting from the external I created a new admin account on my machine and booted int that. The freezing problem was the same as in my normal account.

  • Captioned Videos Saved as .swf not uploading

Is there any way to upload a captioned video, saved as .swf,
to the content library? I thought Adobe Connect Presenter was
Section 508 compliant. This seems ridiculous if it can't be done. I
work for the Govt and we have to abide by all Section 508
guidelines, and this includes captioned videos! How are others
doing this? I've also saved the files to my web server, which work
as a progressive downloaded video, but on some older PCs the files
    get choppy.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Thank you for the response!
Actually, I finally realized (and i'm a little embarassed to admit) that when I click on the link for the pdf, my default program to open the file was set to Preview rather than adobe acrobat or reader.  So now that I have it set to Acrobat I see it ok.
I have tested the swf file by itself and it does work.  The file uses the Page Turn transition affect, so the user needs to click the bottom right corner of each page to turn (or they can click and drag the page open).  I did notice when the pdf was opend the little note I included in the bottom right of the first page does not show (it reads "click here to turn page"- as a prompt for the user).  I may have to move that up a little bit so it shows.  Also, if you hover over the bottom right corner of the right page, you should start to see the page corner curl, this is hard to see at this point (you can see it great if you click the zoom in option once) Maybe i'll have to reduce the size of the swf when making it a pdf to see if that works so the user doesn't have to adjust the page to see the affect.
    I'll see how that works.

  • Com.jspsmart.upload.SmartUploadException: File can't be saved (1120).

    Hi,
I am getting the following error com.jspsmart.upload.SmartUploadException: File can't be saved (1120), pls help.
    Thank You.

Although some of the following will be a repeat but try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

  • Can playlists be saved in icloud

Can playlists be saved in icloud?

Hi Matt. I am having a similar problem but when I drag the playlist highlighted tracks to my Logik 1gb mp3 player it says it is copying BUT when I thought it had finished [ I left it over night] the playlist does not appear in the logik player yet there is now only 650mb space on it.
    I am puzzled.
I then decided to copy a CD of music directly to the player, it let me copy one album but on the second I was told there is not enough space, so it seems the first playlist did copy over.
Another problem is that I eject the mp3 player to see if the music is on there, just not showing, but when i do that it immediately re-appears on the desktop. so I am afraid to just unplug it.
Would appreciate any help anyone can give. I have just bought this player as we are going on holiday on Thursday and It is a surprise for my husband.

But they sometimes show up sideways or uspided down when viewing them on my tv, even thogh I have flipped and saved them in my desktop folder.  How can I view them in the same format as I have them saved in my computer?

    Hi
I am a newbee on the mac and need some help to put a photoshow together. I tried resizing my images to 1280 x 800 (the size of my macbook screen) but they look distorted. If I change the slide size in document presenter to 1024 x 768 they look ok but I don't understand why...
Secondly once I have completed the presentation can it be saved to the desktop so that it will automatically start by displaying the first slide.
    thanks

But does it find the microSD correctly? Try the above suggestion, maybe use a low level format tool.

  • Saving documents to my desktop?

I would like to save .pdf documents to my desktop as well as my cloud.  The icon is saved to my desktop but doesn't open unless I sign into my Adobe acct.  Below is an example:
"Adobe Reader could not open 'FINALxxxxxx.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
    Any assistance is greatly appreciated….
    Thanks,
    Joanne

I'm able to open a .pdf doc ONLY after I log into "Adobe.com", yet the icon is saved & remains on my desktop, (or of my choosing).
But…when I try to open the .pdf doc (no matter where it is saved….if when not logged in) I get the message listed below:
"Adobe Reader could not open 'FINALxxxxxx.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
I must sign-in to Adobe in order for the .pdf doc to open (the one on my desktop that gave me the message above…)…YIPPEE!!? …..sort of….Is this normal?  It's really a hassle, not a convenience.
I searched Adobe website, found Acrobat Help | Display PDF in browser | Acrobat, Reader XI,:
    followed the directions(….my bad….)
Results:  "ALL" my .pdf docs including .pdf docs previously saved on my computer, don't open…. are now saved online!!   I didn't expect such challenges when I signed up.
I'm not very satisfied with this program, whether operator error or problems w/ the program.  Until lately, I've  tolerated this inconvenience now, its more problematic than resourceful, having trashed documents I thought they were corrupt….VERY BAD!
Finding a fix or "How To…" is confusing and either I'm not asking the right questions & don't know where to look…OR….."I just don't know what I don't know and I just want Toto and Dorothy to take me back home to Kansas….."
I definitely don't want to "upgrade" or "purchase additional tools" so it "works optimally"….(like buying a car w/o tires…in my opinion, of course….)
I'm currently job searching and most online applications are PDF fillable forms and can be saved...… problematic at this point…..yep….stuck again…..
    Soooo….My questions…...
Am I limited to saving all PDF docs to my "On-Line" acct or can I "chose" where to save: "my documents" or "On-Line"?
If I delete my "free" Adobe Cloud Account and no longer have access (outside of signing in), will I:
lose all current ".pdf docs" stored in my cloud?
be able to "OPEN and SAVE" my old .pdf docs from my cloud to my computer AND….
open them after logging out of my on-line acct (like the good ole days)…BUT PRIOR to closing my acct?
have any problems saving .pdf docs (or otherwise) to my computer/thumb-drive and opening them?
have any other limitations, otherwise not mentioned, that I should be aware of when using a .pdf doc, should I chose to close my acct?
    If so, what are they?
Toto and Dorothy…..If I can save to both my computer AND cloud, I'm satisfied and just need to know how?
I  simply want to save a PDF document to my computer, thumb drive or wherever…..so I can "click and go"….. anytime… without having to sign-in to adobe cloud just to access a document….
    Please advise.
    Thank you,
    Joanne "Auntie Em…."

  • Photoshop CC 2014 - The file can not be saved in path because an error has occurred

    Hello,
I need again help regarding this issue. Sometimes but very often I receive an error, trying to save a PSD file, the error is: "The file can not be saved in <path> because an error has occurred". After that it is not possible to save the file in any format, using save or save in dialog. The only way to rescue the result is, to save for web as an jpeg. This error occours often using Topaz or NIK filter and until now only in PS-CC 2014. My workflow looks like this:
    - Open NEF RAW file in Brdige
    - Settings in ACR and give it into PS by clicking OK in ACR
    - In PS doing a adjust some levels
    - press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
    - Uing Topaz Adjust on the new level with 65% opacity
    - press SHIFT+STRG+ALT+E for a new summary layer
    - Using Topaz DeNoise on the new layer
    - pres STRG+i and resize the image to 1200x797
    - Using Topaz InFocus on the same layer as DeNoise
    - create a vignette with brightness adjustlayer
After this workflow in nearly 90% it is not possible to save the file as PSD or something else, only to save for web as JPG. If I save the file after opening the RAW in PS and after every layer with Topaz Filter, I can save the file when I am done. Same issue occurs using NIK Filters in that way.
I tried to optimize the performance by using this guide: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-performance-photoshop-cs4-cs5.html doesn’t solve the issue.
I re- and installed all Adobe Products more than three times, doesn't solve the issu.
After that I ordered a new SSD drive and insall Windows 7 64bit inkl. All latest hotfixes, patches and drivers. I downloaded the newest Adobe Versions and the newest filter sets from Topaz and NIK. Doesn’t solve the issue.
    This is my rig:
    Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H mainboard
    Intel Core i7 4770k
    32GB Corsair RAM
250GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD Drive
    nVidia Geforce GTX770
During my tests I took the same RAW File and created nearly 20 adjustment layers and summary layers, without using Topaz or NIK filters. No problem, I was able to save the file as PSD file.
From my point of view, actually, the error occurs only when I am using Topaz or NIK filters. Both supports doesn’t know the issue and if I search the web, I can’t find more then me. It seemed to depend on my settings, my rig or something else, perhaps a cache is overflowed or something like this. Adobe telephone support can’t help because I said I use a third party filter. But it occurs with two different manufactures…
So please guys, help me to figure out why this error occurs in my system.
Thanks in Advance and best regards,
      Michael

Update: I tried several times to reproduce the error, actually it dosen't occur. I changed nothing on my system, without reboot it twice. This is what I said in my beginning times: it occurs sometimes but often. I will keep you up to date.

It is not a bug, you might be using IE in Windows server 2012 and and browser might be restricting your site actions to respond properly.
