Can grid lines on a XY Graph be made dashes from solid

I'm using the SPC toolset. When the control limits are plotted (in red) if the control limit is placed over a grid line, the color of the control limit changes becoming much less visible. If I can make the grid lines dashed, at least a portion of the control limits will remain red for visibility. I can find no way to change the grid lines other than color.

You could try grabbing a screen print of the graph and edit it in photoshop or similar to look the way you want. Then customise the control, paint it transparent and use your image as its background. I have done something similar to make a psychrometric chart (attached)

  • Grid lines on PDA XY graph

Has anyone found a way to get grid lines onto a PDA XY graph? Is graphic overlay a possibility? Am I missing something obvious (like it can't be done)?

I haven't tried changing the line style - yet.
I did try overlaying lines from the decorations palette, but when I ran the gui, the lines got shoved to the back under the graph. Then I thought I would make the graph transparent, but when I ran it it turned black. Basically, the same results when I tried overlaying a transparent png (after installing png support of course).

  • Vertical grid lines and Dates on Graph

When I use date values on the x-axis for a graph, the only vertical grid lines that appear in the graph are at the year boundary. For example, if I was showing data for 3 years, I get 3 vertical grid lines; one at each January.
How can I get vertical grid lines at each month?
It will work if I convert the date to character, but then I lose the ability of Oracle Reports to fill in the tick marks for missing dates (say, if there isn't any data between January and March, the graph will still show a label for February).

    Hi, Ravens Fan.
    Thanks for your reply.
Now, the main loop has a wait statement, but the problem remains. I'm using LabView 2009, and I didn't see this behaviour in the previous version, LabView 8.6.
I send you back the uptaded program, and two snapshots as well:
    - snapshot 1: just after pressing "Run", "increment" value takes "maximum" value; due to this, there's only one text marker, at "12:00" (there should be one major grid line and one text marker every 10 minutes as "increment" value is set to 600 before entering the while loop);
    - snapshot 2: when pannning, "minor increment" takes "maximum" value, and due to this, vertical grid lines don't show any more (there should be one minor grid line every 5 minutes as "minor increment" is set to 300 before entering the while loop).

  • Grid lines appear in bold format in Graphs - OBIEE 10g

    Dear Experts,
I am facing an issue with the grid lines in the graphs in reports.
All the graphs in reports(webcat) are appearing with 'bold GRID lines' instead of normal grid lines which in turn is affecting the look and feel of the graphs in the webcat. Is there any way to eliminate this by setting any parameter in XML files?
I am using OBIEE 10g version. Kindly let me know your inputs so as to eliminate this bold grid lines in all the graphs.
    Thanks,
    Sam.

  • Grid Line options

    Hello,
i want to have grid lines on an xy graph like in a oscilloscope.
i want the number of lines to be a constant (10).
what is hapen that when the scale is set to auto scal the number of lines changes all the time.
    Thanks.

    G'Day,
Depending on which version of LabVIEW you are useing, right click on the Y-axis and select "Formatting..." The you get a dialog box similar to the one below, where you can click on the little "grid options" box, and select your grid style (see the attached image). Once you have selected the right style, click OK to get out of the dialog, and then you can set arbitrary lines, as decribed above.

  • Peculiar behavior of 3D graph grid lines

I am quite familiar with the 3D graph utilities in LabVIEW, but I recently discovered some strange behavior of the grid lines that I don't understand. See attachment. There are vertical gap/distortion features in the grid that appear to be errors in the generation of grid triangles. My first thought was that there was a problem with the input data. However, by simply adjusting the scaling of the X and Y axes, these grid features can be made to appear and dissappear, move around to different locations on the grid, and even the number of them changes. I don't think these effects can be explained by bad data. Does anyone out there have any ideas about what might be causing these features?

I found a work-around to the graphing error. If I put a very slight amount of noise onto the X and Y data, it works perfectly.
BTW, I can't use a Z matrix because I need to be able to plot unstructured X and Y points.

  • How can I make the GRID lines more bold within a table in the new Pages?  (Not the outline of a table)

I can't find where to darken GRID lines on a table in the new Pages.  I can make the outline more bold, but not the grid lines within the table.  Is there a way to do this?  The default grid lines are far too faint.

Yeah, the Help is missing a little.
If you select the block of cells that you want to change, then in the Format inspector:
    Select the Cell tab
    Expand the Border section
    Set a line type
    Set a line width
    Choose a line color
Choose one of the nine options for which borders get the new settings

2.How can i add border and grid lines to a table generated in word report(Not the " cvi table control" inserted from gui,i am asking about the table generated in word report)?
3.How can i fill a cell of word report table withe the data type other than "character"?.
And sir one question about use of timer in cvi labwindows please.
Sir i'm trying to set minimum delay interval of timer control to 1millisecond(0.001s),as i set ,timer don't cares of the interval that is set by me it responds only to the default minimum time interval which is i think 10milliseconds(i'am using windows xp service pack3 version 2002).

  • Beat mapping glitch? Can't move grid line.

    Greetings,
I'm trying to synch my tempos to film. I "conducted" the tempo in by tapping the tempo into a midi track, then used beats from region. The tempo was very close (though for some reason it still didn't match up exactly as I had tapped it???) but either way, to repair any imperfections I try to grab a grid line and move it to the appropriate place, but the grid line doesn't move nor does it create the diagonal line from the top that it's supposed to according to the numerous how to videos I've watched. One person said this is a Logic glitch that you can work around by creating a new tempo marker and deleting, but that didn't do the trick. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Logic snaps to relative grids by default. So for example if your sample starts/ends at bar 1 1 1 072 it will snap to 1 1 2 072, 2 1 1 072 etc. To make it snap to the absolute time, click on the snap sub-menu where you select the snap value. In the list that comes up you'll see an item 'snap to absolute value'. Click on it. When this option is checked logic will snap to whole beats in smart, bar and beat modes.

  • How Can I Print without the shadowed grid lines showing up?

Does anyone know how to print out a page where your bordered cells show up and the background shadowed grid or cells don't print?

You can take control of your grids and outlines by using the Tables Inspector > Cell Borders.
What you described sounds like grid lines set to "Thin" and the color set to a shade of gray. You may also choose None or a number of other patterns, colors and thicknesses. Do some experimenting. The range of cells you have selected will be affected by your choices.

  • How can I eliminate grid lines of selected cells when printing, in iOS numbers

How can I eliminate grid lines of selected cells when printing, using iOS numbers

    Hi Cmlgfx,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You can style a table to remove grid lines and only show an "outline" around the table itself.
See this article for help with table styles:
Numbers for iOS (iPad): Place and style tables
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3365
To show or hide the table name, table border, and grid lines, alternate row colors, or adjust fonts, tap Table Options at the bottom of the Table window (you may need to scroll up in the window to see it), and then set your preferences using the options in the Table Options window. (When you’re done, tap at the top of the window to see other options.)
    All the best,
    Jeremy

  • Abode 7.0 Reader : Can I add grid lines ?

    Hello,
I have large data files with more than 500 lines and many columns in PDF format. These are mainly text and numeric figures.
May I know if it is possible to add horizontal and vertical grid lines to the pages as in spreadsheets software ?
At present, I find it difficult to read the data correctly as the rows and columns are very close to each other.
Appreciate very much if somebody knowledgeable could give me advice.
    Thanks

This cannot be done with the *Reader* which is just for reading
    documents (as it names says).
It would have to be done in the *source* documents prior to publishing
    them as PDFs.
