Can hear audio, but no video in bridge cs5

Hi guys,
please help. when i play the .mov format in primere PRO CS5,i can both hear and see the videos........ but when i try to browse in the bridge cs5, than i can only hear the audio, but i cannot see the video? By the way i am on win7 / 64bits

We can hear audio, but video blacks out every few seconds; picture comes back when we hit the tv's volume button. Everything seems to be plugged in well. The picture even starts out being sort of dim. And it goes through phases of working fine but then will randomly start blacking out again. Any ideas?

Can hear audio but get no video in QT player or iTunes or Safari

I can hear audio, but get no video (ie just a blank window or the "first frame" of the video) when playing basic ".mov" movies using QT Player. I also get the same behaviour when trying to watch movie previews in iTunes. I get the same behaviour when trying to watch QT movies in Safari (for example the latest apple advertisements from apple.com), although ironically I was able to watch the entire Macworld keynote without a hitch in QT Player?!?!
I know my mac is now "getting on", but I know it is still capable of displaying "ipod" sized movie trailers in iTunes.
Real player, cameraid, graphic converter and btv pro can all play the movies QT Player cant. Firefox can play the movies that Safari cant play. Unfortunately there isnt an alternative for iTunes.
Can anyone give any reason or solution to the fact that the core Apple applications are unable to play Apples own movie format when out of date, 5 year old, 3rd party software can?
I have tried
1) deleting the QT plist files
2) reinstalling flip4mac, perian, realplayer and flash, and
3) have just updated QT an iTunes to the latest version.
Any ideas?
The only hint I can think of, is that when playing a movie in QT Player, if you minimise the movie to the dock, and then bring it back to the desktop....it displays the "current" frame of the movie which sits there "frozen" until you do it again ... and just repeating, audio is fine.

Yes Techmo, persistence is the secret.
After the QT 6.4.5 update once again made no difference, I gave up with a brand spanking new 2.8Ghz iMac only a couple of days away.
On cleaning out the old mac getting ready to transfer files to the new mac, I unplugged everything but (of course) power, keyboard and mouse.
I dont know why, but I tried a movie...and it worked like a charm.
I dont know what was plugged in that was giving QT grief, but I suspect it may have been my ageing Orange Micro iBot webcam. Too late now to find out (and I no longer care as I gaze on my new 24 inches of beautiful screen real estate), but for all those with this problem....try unplugging everything as I did and see what happens. At least it might be a starting point to solving your problem.
Strange it only affected Apples own applications though???

It Depends on the app you are trying to airplay. Most apps do not allow content to airplay with video and will disable the video so all you will hear is the audio. If the app you are using does not have a built in airplay function and you have to use the iphone to make it work than most likley that is the case as I described above.
It has to do with copyright protection and what the app is allowing apple to do.

Can hear audio but not see video in iMovie

have a project in iMovie and when I click on the space bar I can hear the audio, but the video remains black even though the thumbnails show images. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

You cant directly add the video object to the stage
to add it on the stage add UIComponent to stage and add the video object to it

You probably need to update Flash Player.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

Why can't I see my iPhone 4 footage in iMovie? I hear audio, but no video.

Hello! This issue appeared in iMovie '09, and has persisted into '11. I have reinstalled the app, cleared caches, deleted old projects and all-around run out of ideas.
My iPhone 4 footage, and older Flip h.264-encoded footage, will not play in iMovie. I can see the thumbnails, but when I scrub or playback the footage (whether in the project or not) I see black, but hear the video.
Has anyone encountered this and successfully fixed this?

Can hear audio but not see video

so I'm incredibly new to this and it's probably obvious I haven't got a clue,
but I was editing a video - all is fine,
save it,
and now that I'm trying to continue working on it I can't see anything.
the original clip is visible perfectly fine,
however the edited version now just looks like three coloured bricks instead of an image, and in the preview is simply a blank screen. I can export the clip and view it fine that way, however the quality is much lesser.
I'm about to give up on this entirely.

FCP 7 - I can hear audio but not see the footage in the viewer or canvas

Ive had a few problems with my final cut. Im working off my laptop with a monitor. My immediate issue is that I have been editing fine this morning and then all of a sudden I could hear the audio for my clips but I can't see the footage in the viewer or the canvas. I can double clip on each clip individually and see what the footage is however. I've shut my computer down a few times and its not fixing itself. Also a lot lately when I sit down to do some editing the footage flickers on one clip and wont proceed to the next clips footage but I can still hear the sound. I would LOVE some help with this if anyone knows whats going on? Sascha

Make sure the canvas or viewer are selected then go to VIEW>CHANNELS and set it to RGB. It might be set to ALPHA.

Click on the drop down menu above the Viewer or Canvas and make sure that you are on IMAGE or IMAGE + WIREFRAME.

I have been using Final Cut pro v6 without any problems but recently had to reinstall. Since then I can't open and view all my Quicktime clips. They appear white in timeline which means you can hear audio but not view picture. Any tips?

They appear as white clips - audio only no pictures. There are a few QT clips you can view as regular thumbnail images and they play ok. What's the issue? I have fcp v6.0.6 and QT v7. Yes I did software updates which updated fcp to 6.0.6 and QT to version 7.7. That's as far as updates have taken me although i have requested daily updates. I forgot to say the clips don't play in QT view either. Again sound but no pictures when they are played.

Hearing Audio but Video not showing

I just upgraded to the newest quicktime and or some reason I can only hear the video being played but I cannot see it. The videos are avi files and recently I've been having problems playing my avi files on quicktime. I only just got my avi files to work at all only they worked on windows media player. I tried playing them through quicktime but they would not work, even with having the right codecs (divx). So I updated Quicktime with the latest update and now as I stated, I can hear the audio but the video is not being displayed. Can someone please help with this or is this just another quicktime bug I'll have to wait for them to fix? I would go and downgrade but I fear if I do, my avi files will cease to work at all.
