Can I access my iTunes account from a separate computer or profile?

I can't access my profile on my mac (separate issue). All I want to do is back up my iPhone/sync music  using my iTunes account
Or

Is any of this possible?

  • HT1203 How can I access my itunes account from a different computer as I need to cancel a subscription and I am on holiday at the moment

    Hello
I need to access my itunes account from a different computer as I need to cancel a subscription and I am on holiday at the moment.
Am I already now logged in to Apple ??
    Thanks

If the Computor you are on has iTunes library go to tunes as if u were going to buy a song or film and you can log into your account. At the bottom of the iTunes home page you should see the user that is logged on usually a email address. Click on it to log them out and enter your own apple I'd and password. You can then update whatever you want and log back out after

  • How can I access my iTunes account from my iPhone.

1- I can't access my iTunes account from my iPhone.
Do I have to sync them or can I download the songs I bought without connecting with my macbook?
Last time i connected the two, all my music got deleted. Must have done something wrong, but have no idea how to prevent that from happening again.
2- My "preferences" panel in iTunes, only shows apps and books, not music- Why?
3- I can't save any music on iClod.

    hello.
i followed your link on how to delete content from all things Apple, and nothing removes books, movies, music... it just gives said device(s) the iCloud/download icon on top of the book, movie...  not sure what the 'hide' purchase actually does - after X'ing/hide, everything STILL appears across all devices using that account.  could you clarify this any further?
if i am understanding iTunes correctly, then EVERYTHING we download (free or purchased) will be FOREVER accessible with zero way for us to control what is filling up this mysterious vault called the cloud?  (creepy- apple is keeping EVERYTHING, what happens when the cloud gets full?)
since we have iCloud.com and it shows our "stuff" that we iCloud sync from our devices such as notes, contacts, calendar... then why doesn't apple provide an iCloud.com tab that shows ALL of our purchases so we as CONSUMERS control/delete what is in our account?
we download ALOT of apps to try and then delete them off our devices.  that works fine, but movies and books are always there.  maybe a glitch?

Can I access my itunes account on multiple computers?

    What do you mean access?
You can certainly sign into your account from any computer with itunes.
Your content will only be where you put it.  You can put it/copy it wherever you like.
In some countries you can redownload some itunes purchased content:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

How can I access my itunes account through my new computer

Your account is just a user name and password.  Just sign into your account and use it as you like.
Are you asking about your library (music and other content)?
It will only be where you put it.  Have you copied it from your old computer to your new one?  If not, then do that.

  • How can I access my Itunes account from my ipad if it was set up on an old PC I no longer have?

Several years ago I signed up for an itunes account with my Dell laptop. That laptop no longer works and I have an ipad now that I use for most things. I want to access my old account I set up originally with my PC on my ipad but am not sure how to do it? I can not use the PC to "turn on" the ipad with this account. Is there a way to do this or do I have to set up another account? How do I access the apps etc. that are already on my original account?
    Thanks

You should be able to log into the account via Settings > Store (if an account is currently logged in then you can tap on it to log out of it), and the content that you bought/downloaded with it which is still in the store, and which is possible to re-download (music, films and tv shows can't be re-downloaded in all countries) should show in the Purchased tabs in the App Store and iTunes store apps. Re-downloading an account's past purchases may tie the iPad to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
All content from iTunes is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so creating a new account won't allow you to access a previous account's downloads.

  • HT1473 I am trying to connect to Itunes & add content to my library but I can not locate my Itunes account from a different computer which I have changed computers & Iphones.

I had an Itunes account on another computer & another Iphone, I have tried to access my previous account to add some new tones from my new Iphone & can not locate or access my previous account or previous library. Can someone help?

I cannot find "Other" devices. I found Apple Mobile Device under Universal Bus Controllers but cannot see "recovery mode" or any other status. I use Windows Vista.
When I try to restart Apple Mobile Device Service I get the following message: "The Apple Mobile Device Service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs". What does this mean?
During the last 48 hours I was able to see my iPad in iTunes only one time during many attemnpts to connect . I haven't been able to see it during the llast several attempts.
Any suggestions? The standard suggestions have not worked: i.e. stop then start AMDS; tuurn off iPad and PC, then restart both and reconfrom iPad to PC; reload iTunes.

  • TS1368 I am trying to update my new iphone, and need to access my itunes account from a different computer.  How do I do this?

I have a new Iphone 5 that I am trying to sync with my existing itunes account.  I need to get this to sync to a different computer, than what I originally set it up on.  Every time I plug it in, it takes me to my daughters itunes account, and wants to sync up with her music.  How do I change the itunes account?

Hey Mike, just sign in the iTunes Store and authorize your account on this machine (don't worry, you'll be asked for it), then you will ready to use it.

  • Can I access my ITunes Library from a different computer?

My original computer is in storage and I am using my laptop for now. I have several different libraries in ITunes but I cannot find my playlists? (See Subject for question)

Your post is a little confusing. Do you mean you can't find your library? Or you can't find your playlists? If all your music is on your original computer, you won't be able to access it from your laptop any more than you can access anything else on the hard drive of your original computer.

How can I authorize and access my itunes account on a new computer if I cant access my old computer to enable home sharing

    Authorization
Macs:  iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
To deauthorize a computer you don't have:
De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.

Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple recommends, "You always back up your iTunes library in the event that a purchased item is no longer available on the iTunes Store," (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).
You will be using your original AppleID and password.  that works for any computer you own now or in the future.  Do not make a new appleID.
