Can I access to my podcast via Wifi ?

I'm thinking of buying in Ipod Touch, but I have 2 questions :
- Can we access to the music stored in my PC via the the Wifi connection of the Ipod touch ? This is particularly interessant for the poscasts
- Is it possible to change the informations of a file via the Ipod (delete podcast, give stars, unmark ...) ? Change would be effective on next sync. This is also particularly interessant to delete directly from the Ipod podcast after listening.
Olivier from Paris

The itunes wifi store does not have podcasts or videos.
As for the second, any ratings you make to the song or podcasts syncs back to itunes.
Hope this helps.

  • Hello my iphone 3g can not connect to home network via wifi

Hello to all, with my iphone 3g can not connect to home network via wifi. This only happens if I apply protection to the network. Unprotected my Iphone connects fine. Obviously the password to write error-free. I can not figure out what depends on this factor, however, another iphone connects fine. Help me please.

I have a similar, but slightly different problem. My iphone 4 recgonizes my home wifi and shows it under Settings, but will not access it, no signal shown, just 3G.  It will access other wifi signals.  My wife's iphone works fine, as does an ipad and macbook.  This is new for my iphone, about 2-3 days.
Help!  I reset network settings and rebooted the router (Apple), no avail

  • Can I access amazon prime videos via Apple TV?

I am an Amazon Prime member.  I also have Apple TV.  Can I access Amazon Prime videos via my Apple TV?

I was about to buy Apple TV when I found out about this.  Looks like I'm getting ROKU this weekend instead.  It's such ashame that everything has to be competitive.  Geez...Apple is killing the industry so why worry?  I have to look at the bottom dollar, and paying $79 for Amazon Prime and unable to stream to my television...and since Roku is $49 cheaper than Apple TV and I have more streaming content...looks like the smart choice.

  • Can I access my Time Capsule via web, even if it´s not connected to a mac??

Can I access my Time Capsule via web, even if it´s not connected to a mac??

Yes, but the issue is the IP address. If you have a static IP from your ISP it is easy.. Or if you use another router with dyndns it is easy.. but Apple make it exclusive to their network so you can have loads of issues without a computer to function as a client for dns.
Look up remote Time Capsule access .. there is plenty of info out there.

  • Can I share my internet connection via wifi AND use my wireless printer at the same time?

Not completely familiar with  wifi capabilities. I have this new setup in my office. I want to share my iMac internet connection via wifi so I can text and check emails using my iPhone (no cell service inside the building). Which works fine. However, I now cannot print wirelessly to my HP printer (LaserJet Pro 400 color). Once Internet sharing is off, I can print just fine. Any other wireless options, or just go get a long USB cable?

    Hi,
It is not a multitasking printer, other devices may keep it therefore the best option in this case: connect it to your wireless router and all devices which are conntected to this router can sahre the printer.
    Regards.

  • Can i access hard drive wirelessly via time capsule?

I have a macbook pro with a full hard drive, a time capsule and an external hard drive.
I want to be able to access my files wirelessly and backup regularly.
Is the best option to use my external hard drive as my new hard drive, with automatic backup to the time capsule?
If I leave the external hard drive connected by usb to the time capsule will this mean I can wirelessly access them?
And finally what is the best way to move my files from my macbook pro to the external hard drive?

As I understand it.. and one of the other eggs spurts here may correct me. There are issues doing this.
An external drive plugged into TC can be used to store your files, but will not be backed up. (Not by Time Machine at least) And extremely inefficiently if you create a directory on the TC drive because it will be copied back to the computer and then onto the TC again. The external drive would have to be plugged directly into the computer for it to include the files in the backup.
So you have some choices. Each with a caveat.
    1. Create a directory on the TC and store your files there. That is the best way for speed. Although a USB drive access is probably no worse by wireless. It will not get backed up though. At least not via TM, you can manually do the backup. And should do so if the TC becomes the only place the files are stored.
    2. Plug the external hdd into the computer directly.. that is messy and obviously not what you want but the files are then included in the backup. It is considerably faster though.
    3. Buy a larger hdd for the MBP.

  • Itunes 12. I can not see my ipad / iphone via WiFi

Itunes 11 was upgraded to itunes 12 without a warning. Now, side bar is lost and IN ADDITION ()  I don´t see my ipad / iphone via wifi. How can I reset sichronization ?
How can I DOWNGRADE to itunes 11 ?

already tried all suggestions from the support page, except re-installing Itunes.  any suggestions?
Yes. Reinstall iTunes. If that is the point at which you stopped trying the support suggestions then it makes sense to me, that you move on to the next suggestion and if reinstalling iTunes is the next suggestion, so be it.
However ....  I too have issues that arise out of the blue with my iPad being recognized in iTunes and what I always do and it eventually works is to quit iTunes, restart my MacBook, and reboot my iPad.
Rebooting the iPad is the last thing that I do and only if I have no success with quitting iTunes and restarting the Mac. It may take a few tries to work, but if you are that dead set against reinstalling iTunes, then give it a try.

  • Podcasts via Wifi

    Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to subscribe to podcasts and receive updates direct onto the iPod Touch via Wifi?
    Cheers,

Thanks for confirming this. I would very much like this feature and think it is a big omission from the iTunes Wireless Store.

  • Cannot ping/access iphone from pc via wifi connection

Hi! Im trying to ping my iphone from my pc, they are in the same subnet/network, and they are both connected to same wifi/wireless network, but I cannot ping my iphone, is there other things i need to do on my iphone for it to ping-able/accessable from my pc wirelessly? Thank you.

Yes that worked thank you and has taken me back to the start of the migration assistant. Unless there is anything else I should do, very many thanks! I will try the full process again shortly, having turned off all window updates include virus checker updates which may have caused the problem and I will use the Ethernet cable method. It would have taken hours via wifi,  4 hours to transfer music alone.
    Thank yu

  • Can I bridge AEBS to AEBS via WiFi N?

I've got a problem connecting some equipment located in a basement. I have a Slingbox, a Blu-ray player and an old G5 iMac that I use as a media center all located in my basement. I need all of them to be connected to the Internet.
My Office, my Intel iMac and my AEBS are all located on the second floor of the house. The house does not have any hardwired Cat5 connections. Cable modem to AEBS to WiFi.
Currently I am using an Airport Express to connect to the G5 iMac, and this works great. We are able to connect to the iTunes library on the G5 in order to watch Movies on 2 ATVs and 2 different MacBooks.
The Slingbox and Blu-ray player are connected via an electrical system distribution hub which is now suddenly starting to act unreliably. I figure I could buy two more Airport Expresses to connect the Slingbox and Blu-ray player, but was wondering if I could instead bridge another AEBS to the basement then connect via the provided ethernet connections on the back of the 2nd AEBS to the Slingbox, Blu-ray and iMac.
I have read that you have to bridge the AEBSs via an ethernet cable, but that's not possible in this case. Is it possible to bridge them via the WiFi N?

Does anyone know what the settings page by page in Airport Utility (5.5.1) should be to make the above setup work?
I received my Time Capsule today - the replacement of the old AEBS was incredibly simple.
I have the AEBS connected to the TC via WiFI - and have a green light on both devices. However, when I connect the AEBS to my iMac via ethernet I get a message in System Preferences/Network that says "Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet".
I have search Apple Database looking for instructions on setting up WDS, but only get the same Article HT2044 Dated July 31, 2008 - which does not obviously reference the same screens, selections or wording of Airport Utility 5.5.1
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Can't access server web sited via lan

    Hello
I hope there is somebody here that can help me with this problem..
All of sudden I can't access the different web site I host on my OS X Server 3.1.
It worked fine this morning but this afternoon I just get an 404 server not found, but if I connect from outside the LAN it works fine all the sites are working, but not from within the LAN, and that was working before...
The wired thing is that I haven't made any changes to the server ore any of my computers/iPad/iPhone...
If I change the DNS on my computers from using the router to using the server it works fine, so I'm thinking it's something to do with DNS resolution at my ISP
As far as I understand it's like this
domain.com -> top registrar -> external DNS provider -> my external IP -> server on lan
But it has been working fine for 1 year now and I haven't made any changes in the past, and I'm thinking that since it works fine from outside my LAN and when I use the server as DNS server it works fine...
I think it's the router or my ISP that can't route correctly since the request comes from the same IP as the GET is for... but then again it was working fine this morning... :S
I hope that there is somebody out there that can help me either show me a tool where I diagnose the HTTP/DNS request ore something...
    /Alex

You need to run internal DNS which points the host
    names to the private IP.
Your current setup probably sends the host names to
your external address, which causes your
client-server traffic to go through your router (not
    very efficient).
Internal DNS is the best way to solve this.
You might get a quick fix by changing the web admin
port of the router to something other than 80. (this
will allow traffic to loop back to LAN port on some
    routers).
    Jeff
Could you give a step by step on the DNS setup? I new to his and a complete ignorant sod. thanks so much
And how would I change the web admin port in the router? I have a NAT rule on port 80 pointing to the server. If I change that would it not mean that all traffic coming into port 80 (i.e. http traffic) would get lost?
    thanks
