Can I activate I cloud without my ipad? I got stolen but I have my serial number, can I do something?
Hi I got stolen my ipad and I would like to lock it down or locate it. I didn't see any utility at first to use icloud so didn't activate it at first. Can I do something if I got the serial number?
You can report it to the police and give them the serial number. Apple does not track stolen devices. If you did not have iCloud, Find My iPad enable, you cannot turn it on now.
You should consider changing any passwords, contact your bank or credit card company - whoever you need to contact - since much of your personal and/or banking information is probably on the iPad.

You can't.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries. -
I did not know about iCloud until after my iPad2 was stolen but I know the serial number so is there any hope the thief can be tracked when he or she logs in to the Apple store etc? thanks
iOS devices cannnot be tracked or located with just the serial number. Unless you shared your Apple ID and password with anyone, then your account cannot be accessed at the iTunes Store.

I received photoshop elements 11 as a gift 2 years ago. I am fearful that I have lost the serial number. I have the box and the sleeve but neither have a serial number. I have installed the trial version, but hope I can add a serial number. Any suggestions?

If you go to the computer where your sync your phone to and open itunes and then go to edit in the tool bar then preferences then device preferences then devices.. hover the mouse pointer over your device name in the back up lists that appear there and it shows the IMEI

You need to provide some more information. Have you subscribed to the creative cloud? Or did you purchase a standalone license? It really makes a difference. Please clarify. Also, what OS are you using?

The serial number alone is not useful for Find My iPhone / iPod. It is useful to establish ownership, should you recover the iPod.
You would have had to enable "Find My iPod" in Settings > General. -

You can use a download instead of the disk and license with your serial. The link can be found here: Other downloads select CS5, the program you use to have on disk. Please change the language of the page so you will get the correct language. Serials are limited to the language and the program so please be carefully selecting the correct suite or single program. My iPad has been stolen. Someone broke into my house on Tuesday. I have already tried locking it through icloud. I have reported this to the authorities but they cannot do much unless I give them the serial number to the iPad. With the serial number they can put it into a database and send that inormation to pawn shops, so i the theie tries to pawn it, the pawn shop employeee can convscate the iPad and hand it over to the authorites. I need the serial number to report it to the authorities. I dont have the box it came in or the receipt and its not on my itunes on the computer because I didnt use it or music, just pictures. Can someone please help??? btw, some words are misspelled becasue the letter that comes ater the letter E, doesnt work on my keybord.
