I bought a factory unlocked iPhone 4S from an Apple store in the U.S. and I am in Guatemala. I want to use it now but later on I will move to New Zealand. Can I activate it with a SIM card from Guatemala and then use it with a SIM card from New Zealand? I am just wondering if it will get locked with the Guatemalan SIM card. Or does it just need a SIM from any supported carrier and then it remains unlocked to use with any other carrier? Thanks

As I (mis)understand it, you may:
1) Copy one orange gradient path to the magenta gradient path document;
2) Select the two magenta gradient paths and change the Fill to None;
3) Select the orange gradient path;
4) Select the two magenta gradient paths and change the Fill to Gradient.
That should give you the desired replacement. For multiple use of the same gradient, you may consider a gradient swatch.

No. You can't activate any iPhone without a sim card installed. The sim card itself need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. Since you updated the software, the phone requires re-activation, thus you need a sim card. You can borrow one from someone, but bottom line, you need a sim card.

Tthe brute force method: start with Settings > iCloud and turn off Find My (you will need the password), then change the iCloud ID, then go to the apps such as Messages, FaceTime, etc, and delete the Apple ID and enter the new one.

You need to use separate iCloud accounts. This will mean that you can both have your own separate contracts and calendars and put an end to them being deleted by each other.
Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item.

Numbers doesn't have a built-in Paste Special > Transpose the way you have in Excel. However, there are ways to do this in Numbers that are not difficult.
Here are two ways:
Approach 1:
Select the row of numbers, and command-c to copy to the system clipboard.
Click on the canvas and command-v to paste, automatically creating a new table.
With that new table still selected, in your menu choose Table > Transpose Rows and Columns.
Select the cells in the transposed table, command-c to copy, click once in a cell of the destination column of your target table, and command-v to paste.
Approach 2: (after a quick installation, very similar to Excel's built-in Paste Special > Transpose)
Download this Copy Transpose Automator Service, and double-click to install (if necessary choosing Open Anyway in System Preferences > Security and Privacy).
Thereafter to use just:
select the row of numbers you want to copy
with the cells still selected, choose Copy Transpose from the Numbers > Services menu
click once in the destination column and command-v to paste the transposed values.
Note that the second approach does not handle cells with formulas, whereas the first approach will.

If you have movement on the stills you can set up expressions based on in and out points. That's what I do. I then drop all my stills in order into a comp then set the out point for all stills for the longest duration. I then set group colors for layers that I want to make different lengths, do a group select and then adjust the out points for those layers. When I'm done I sequence the layers using the keyframe assistant.
The other way I work is to use an audio track with markers for timing. I have an expression that reads the markers and sets opacity for the layers based on pairs of markers. The motion is also controlled by expressions. That's an even faster way to set up an animated slide show.
The last way I work is just to set in an out points for all layers, sequence the layers, use expressions to do the motion and then use time remapping on a pre-comp to adjust the timing of the slide show. All methods are quick and easy.
Here's a fly in bounce and then drop out fxx preset that will give you an idea of how expressions based on in and out point work for slide shows. You just drag the layer to it's resting position, apply the animatiokn preset and the layer flys in, bounces, and then drops out the bottom of the comp. Works in 2D and 3D space.

Select from 'Find in'- Folder and browse to the folder your website files are kept in to select it.

In the Find box (but obviously use YOUR image code):

I have data that is being downloaded from googledocs into a numbers spreadsheet. It happens weekly but it creates a new spreadsheet each time it downloads. I need to copy 50 cells and add the quantities to an existing spreadsheet without it replacing the originals. Is there a formula or way that makes this happen?

Generally if you add a new row at the end of your table you can highlight the cell where you want the paste to start and then paste the data. Hi, I have upgraded my iPad 1 to an iPad 3. I want to set up and send my old iPad 1 to my great auntie (86) in the UK, I am in Spain.
I started setting it all up for her setting the country as uk, creating an Apple ID etc... But when it comes to iTunes, the Spanish shop opens and asks me to set up the Apple ID for iTunes. my question is can I set everything up from here ? download the few apps I think she will want and send her the iPad and she will have no problems, or is she going to have problems as the details will be of a Spanish account, I am probably going to have to give my credit card, and the iPad will loose the apps , or won't let her create a uk account further down the line ?

You can only use the Store in the country where you are resident. Items purchased in store in another country will no longer be accessible for redownloading when you change country but you can keep on using them as long as you have a copy on your computer.
It is not easy to change country and requires a valid billing method with a physical billing address in the other country. There is also a 90 day wait period between country changes. Furthermore, it is against the terms of service for the iTunes Store to even use your own country's store while not in your country, much less use another country's store.

Use CS6 (activated with serial number) on one computer and CC (activated by CC app) on another?

CC authentication is playing havoc with me.
I have a valid full install disc with serial number for CS6 Master Collection. I recently also began a subscription to CC.
I want to use CC per its terms of use on my main machine (a Mac running Win in parallels) which, I believe, will count as both installations of my CC license. I also have a second PC where I'd like to use my perfectly valid serial number to install and run CS6.
When I log in to the second (CS6) machine, I'm not allowed to run my CS6 programs because I am seen as a CC subscriber. There's no opportunity to enter a serial number: The machine, which has run CS6 for years, refuses to let me keep using them. For example I start Acrobat. I am alerted that my trial has 00 days left. I am asked to sign in and enter a serial number. I sign in, but before I can enter the serial number I am told "welcome, carry on" and the authroization window goes away. And it immediatly REAPPEARS with the same message about my trial having 00 days left.
I have had a great deal of angst related to Adobe's broken activation process and my opinion of them as a company has suffered dramatically.
Wondering if I need to make a separate Adobe ID for the CS6 installation. Will Adobe let me enter that serial number via a new Adobe ID or will it object on the grounds that the serial number is associated with my main Adobe ID?

Re-register the perpetual license with another Adobe ID and use the CS6 installation on that ID. This will keep the system from getting confused during the activation. Remember to deactivate the CS6 (if it will allow that option) if at all possible. That's the best option for now. If you have issue with the re-installation, use the Adobe cleaner on the CS6 machine.

Option A: you can create a batch file with file exported from Location A and run batch loader
Option B: you can copy export file to inbox folder of Location B and then the user can find the file

Sorry, Photo Library photos are not contained in the iPhone backup so restoring from the backup won't recover these photos. (They aren't backed up because they are assumed to already be on your computer since that's where they were synced from in the first place.) I'm afraid there's no way to get them back unless they were backed up somewhere esle on your computer. (What you experienced is one reason why I have automatic syncing disabled in iTunes. If you want to do this so you have more control over when your phone is synced, go to iTunes preferences, on the devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".)

There is no solution other than getting all of your content into a single iTunes library. By design, iPhone syncs or manually manages with one computer/iTunes account at a time.
